Downgrade from beta 6 to stable - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi
How do I downgrade from beta 6 to latest stable android 10?
I've tried using oxygen updater app but it doesn't work.
I've also searched oneplus community forum but I can't find anything
Thanks in advance

I believe you have to go back to 9 and just update. Google rolling back to 9 or use the msmdownload tool for a clean start (not sure if rolling back causes data loss too).

I could direct from local improvement .... you have to make a backup of EVERYTHING, because it makes wipes from recovery stock, [emoji872]!

What issues are you seeing in Beta 6? There is an International v10 out somewhere. I can look on my PC whenever I get to it.

You can flash the full .zip of the latest stable 10.0.3 thru TWRP. Make sure you uninstall all magisk modules first. That's what i did from beta 6 to latest stable and i didn't have any problem and didn't lose data.?

Thanks for the help guys. I got it downgraded to 10.0.2 and unrooted and relocked bootloader which is what I wanted to get DRM L1 back again. However I don't see the 10.0.3 update in oxygen updater. Is this normal?

Downgrade from Android 7 to 6

Hi.
I got an official nougat update today but I definitely don't like new emui 5.0 and want to go back to previous version.
Is there any way to do it (I prefer official solutions).

Moved here, as this doesn't go in the Development Section, read the Forum Rules.

Rollback from Open Beta 11 to 9.0.3 - Non-root

Quite new to Oneplus but been flashing roms etc etc for a while. - This post has been edited from a question to the solution.
Anyway, I have been on the Beta for almost two days and seeing no worth to being in Beta so thought I would go back to stable.
I took a while to search XDA and OnePlus community and found some saying you need TWRP and other saying you cant.
The answer is quite simple and thanks to @Cave_diver for directing me to what actually works
There is a rollback file at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77390204&postcount=2.
This takes you back to Oreo but will immediately update you to Pie.
It will wipe your data and you wont be able to auto restore your google pie data initially but once update, factory reset again and then all good.
Simple eh.
There is a rollback firmware that you can flash in the local system update settings. Search in the announcement posts for the beta (possibly also older beta) for a link to this downgrade image .
Once you flashed that, Out can upgrade to 9.03.

Glad it worked for you. For anyone else looking, the link to download the correct downgrade image is in this post in the downgrading paragraph:

Go back to stable release after beta 14

How can i revert back to the normal update release ?
I'm now on open beta 14 and when I'm downloading the latest stable ROM from OnePlus site and try to do a local upgrade it tells me that upgrade can't be done because my current rom is higher than the the selected rom !!
Is there any solution?

You have to wait for a new stable release or downgrade to pie then upgrade to android 10.

There is a roll back zip , check on OnePlus community.
Just Flash through system update. You are going to loose your data.

No local update option on unlocked 8T

Anyone else have this issue? I downloaded an update from Oxygen Updater, but I can't install it without the local update option. I know it's there on other OnePlus phones.
Looks like local upgrade is not available on OnePlus8TOxygen_15.O.14_GLO_0140_2009181155 but after updating it to OnePlus8TOxygen_15.O.16_GLO_0160_2010150057 it's available to me
It's odd

not this time. the issue is there is no local update option on this phone to use the update downloaded via oxygen updater.
Is OnePlus trying to quash Oxygen Updater? I used it all the time on my 6 and 7 Pro. Worked great. Hope this is not the case. However...I'm not too concerned. I can wait for OTA if necessary.

GM1917 (Global) reporting as GM1911 (India) in settings which has broken SafetyNet

Anyone have a fix? My GM1917 is identifying as a GM1911 after an oxygen updater update a couple months ago, not sure how to fix it, running the latest beta too. Not sure what to do...

Use the msmdownload tool to flash the correct ROM.
