Hi.
I got an official nougat update today but I definitely don't like new emui 5.0 and want to go back to previous version.
Is there any way to do it (I prefer official solutions).

Hello.
I have a Honor 6 L04 device. I'm currently on EMUI 2.3, but I wanna update to the latest 3.1. OTA update is failing maybe because of root or something else.
Is there any other EASY way of updating to 3.1? Can I just do a factory reset and flash a stock 3.1 rom?
Go to emui 3.0 b316, only then emui 3.1 b526

Do you mean to flash stock rom from scratch?

Bro please don't guide a person wrongly. The version you mentioned is not for H60-L04.
And yes, you can't update of your phone is rooted. Do a factory reset and update.
US Version MHA-L29C, fully stock, never been rooted...
I installed the US update yesterday (B167) and curious if I wanted to roll back to the previous version (B138) how I would go about it. Would I have to use funkyhuawei or is there somewhere I can get the full download and install it through the stock recovery?

have you tried using huawei firmware finder app? it's free and easy to use.
I haven't. Honestly never heard of it. I'll look online for it, thank you.

Looks like all that's on there is the new update.

B138 was never released as a downloadable update. You'll be stuck on B167.

There something wrong with B167?
I'm trying g to determine if HD voice is truly working and if they just removed the HD icon on the call screen. I also am getting some very inconsistent battery. One day I get 10 hours sot, the next 6 sot with the same usage.

My other device is out of order right now so I switched back to my old Honor 8.
When I did I received 2 updates.
But still did not get 8.0 is it something you a to do manually?
If the L14 is an American model then you won't get it. It's not out. Otherwise, you'll need to update via hisuite for the official way

Does using the hisuite to update it erase everything on the Honor 8 ?

Yes. Anytime you update to a new Android version a factory reset is mandatory

You can make a backup by using Huawei's own Backup app.

yes you should wait B560 update with 8.0 showed up for L04 and L14 on FF
Does anybody know if the American model is still going to get 8.0? This is just sad now.

Personally I gave up on waiting and flashed the unofficial frimware from FF. I'm more than happy with stock Oreo, it's smooth and battery life is amazing (you can tweak each application with more settings than in Nougat). Right now I'll stay on stock but I know I have custom ROM if I get tired of it which is also rly nice

I thought I would get the official updates so I never got the free unlock bootloader code. This sucks since I paid cash for this at Best Buy
I'm on Oreo B560 for the L14. Can I relock the bootloader using fastboot so that I can use Google pay or will this brick my phone? I don't really use root apps. Other than that Oreo works great.

Quite new to Oneplus but been flashing roms etc etc for a while. - This post has been edited from a question to the solution.
Anyway, I have been on the Beta for almost two days and seeing no worth to being in Beta so thought I would go back to stable.
I took a while to search XDA and OnePlus community and found some saying you need TWRP and other saying you cant.
The answer is quite simple and thanks to @Cave_diver for directing me to what actually works
There is a rollback file at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77390204&postcount=2.
This takes you back to Oreo but will immediately update you to Pie.
It will wipe your data and you wont be able to auto restore your google pie data initially but once update, factory reset again and then all good.
Simple eh.
There is a rollback firmware that you can flash in the local system update settings. Search in the announcement posts for the beta (possibly also older beta) for a link to this downgrade image .
Once you flashed that, Out can upgrade to 9.03.

Glad it worked for you. For anyone else looking, the link to download the correct downgrade image is in this post in the downgrading paragraph:

Just an FYI, for those like myself that rolled back to EMUI 9.1 from beta 10. You won't be getting any security patches or updates anymore for 9.1
Major bummer if one intends to stay on 9.1 until 10 is official., got this information from official Huawei global support forums.

Hey @Limeybastard,
do you know if this rollback is feasible once FRP was set? https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-x/how-to/rollback-emui-10-to-9-to-bypass-frp-t4044711
