I want downgrade my os from nougat to marshmallow?
Ah,, Actually XZs was released Nougat.
So you cannot do this.
But ..If only was it released with Marshmallow there could have been different options of DRM backup and etcs.

I am from India and my dad has an honor 4c which he has never updated. Its currently running on kitkat 4.4 build version CHM-U01V100R001C636B160. Now I want to update it to marshmallow to improve its performance. The phone does not show any update over the air. I have checked on the hihonor website and it currently shows only marshmallow update for the phone with build version C675B530. The release notes for the marshmallow update say that it should be used to update phones with builds B370, B380, B390 and B502 only.
Can anyone please tell if I can use this marshmallow build to update my phone? Also, I read somewhere that I will have to update to lollipop first. If so, where can I get the lollipop build for India?

I just got my xperia Z5 (the Spectre edition) but the shop advised me not to update the android version. The phone is running on android 5.01 (Lollipop), so I'm not sure if theyre' referring to not updating to Marshmallow or Nougat..
would just like to clarify -- is it ok to update to 6.0?

7.0 is nougat
6.0 is Marshmallow
5.0 is lolipop
5.1.0 is lolipop
5.1.1 is lolipop
Marshmallow isnt that great, I'd Advise you stay on Lolipop untill sony fixes some of the system service drain aswell as the camera post processing on marshmallow.

Is there a Nougat update coming for the J700T? If not, is there a Nougat ROM for it?
Looking for the most recent Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware prior to the Nougat update for the Xperia XZ Dual F8332.
What's the firmware number, and where can I download it? Xperifirm only has the most recent Nougat.

I am pretty sure that Xperia XA had 6.0.1. update. So is it true? I upgraded to Nougat right away and after a year I downgraded to Marshmallow to backup TA particion because I want to root. After downgrade to MM I got updates for security patches and I installed them all until I received update for Nougat. When I checked Android version it says 6.0. Is there a way to get that 6.0.1 update, because I find MM nice and I want to stay on MM?
I downloaded MM ftf from Xperia forum UK generic, because it was UK software when I unpacked it.
Btw when I check gsm arena it says 6.0.1 LINK
