Hi Guys,
I am running on CM12.1 with TWRP recovery. Now I would like to go back to MIUI for trying MIUI7. I have already downloaded the zip file of MIUI7 (developer version, around 800mb) from the website. Now I want to know what is the best and easiest way to flash this ?
Just wiping everything and install via TWRP will do the job ?
Or do I need to use the MI Suite in PC ? The problem is that my phone is not detecting in MI suite. May be because it is not running in MIUI.

1) is rooting of xiaomi mi 4i void the warranty?
2) is there any method to unroot it again?

1. For Xiaomi devices with MIUI installed , there's no problem in rooting . Warranty isn't voided , but you wont get OTA
2. Maybe yes . I don't have idea about that
2. Flash a fastboot image.
I don't understand anything
First I unlock bootloader and install recovery (many failures with recovery versions, drivers etc, but in the way all ok)
Then, directly wipe all from phone (stock 5.0.2) and flash 7.1.2 AOKP.
The phone don't boot, I can't enter to recovery, fastboot is not recognized properly. The Eluga tool saves the phone, the panasonic 5.0.2 firmware works.
Now, I flash the 3.0.0-1 TWRP and flash FlyOs 6.0.1 and the phone stuck on Powered by Android logo.
I flash anothet 2 roms with the same.
ROMs like aokp or lineageOs.
What kind of magic is this?
Please, help
Thanks!

Upgrade to MM (DarkOr or Googly) then upgrade to N. Recommended to use FireLord's TWRP.

I would suggest downgrading back to LP then to MM and finally to N.

hey
did you try that? (with LOS recovery, only one that worked with me for flashing first time, can install another one after)
(be on 12.0.4 global -> MiFlash)
on fastboot:
fastboot erase userdata
flash LOSrecovery (by @SebaUbuntu the only one that worked for me for booting successfully)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot recovery
FORMAT data and cache from LOS recovery
flash the rom via ADBsideload (update option in LOSrecovery)
adb sideload zipoftherom.zip
reboot
P.S.: after first boot you might not have LOSrecovery anymore, then you can go back to fastboot and flash the recovery of your choice (mauro's, LRTeam,...) (and then you can flash magisk if root needed... if not sideloaded earlier)
LOS recovery (the one that worked for me) : http://files.sebaubuntu.me/Recovery/LineageOS-Recovery/lmi/
mauronofrio one : https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f2-pro/development/recovery-twrp-xiaomi-poco-f2-pro-t4167169
P.P.S.: doesn't hurt to make sure you've been using lastest MiFlash version https://cdn.alsgp0.fds.api.mi-img.co...020-3-14-0.rar, to make sure you're flashing GLOBAL 12.0.4, that your adb and xiaomi drivers are the latest ones...
Cheers !

Well this phone is indeed weird for sure, i just tried to install 12.2.1.0 from 12.0.4 global just like you deed, now I´m on the same situation as you, tried that 3.4.2bCN twrp and after format data it keeps giving error like ODM, system etc.
now i cant even flash maunorofrio twrp from fastboot, also gives error flashing...
so only way I found for now is reinstall 12.0.4 with miflash
I´ve flashed several phones before, but none like this one...

Be careful NOT to tick the option "clean all AND lock" at the bottom right of the MiFlash software, indeed ! That will re-lock the bootloader :cyclops:
Cheers !

I understand bootloader but IS?
You can try this: Flash with Miflash (the latest version)https://xiaomiflashtool.com/ option CLEAN ALL the rom that was on your phone when you bought it.
Finish configuring the phone.Skip code and fingerprint and do not secure lock screen (no diagram, nothing).
Install TWRP(chinesse),boot to TWRP,format data(if red lignes reboot twrp and format again)reboot TWRP,wipe all, except OTG,reboot TWRP,flash the rom you want, after format and/or wipe according to the rom.
