I don't understand anything
First I unlock bootloader and install recovery (many failures with recovery versions, drivers etc, but in the way all ok)
Then, directly wipe all from phone (stock 5.0.2) and flash 7.1.2 AOKP.
The phone don't boot, I can't enter to recovery, fastboot is not recognized properly. The Eluga tool saves the phone, the panasonic 5.0.2 firmware works.
Now, I flash the 3.0.0-1 TWRP and flash FlyOs 6.0.1 and the phone stuck on Powered by Android logo.
I flash anothet 2 roms with the same.
ROMs like aokp or lineageOs.
What kind of magic is this?
Please, help
Thanks!

Upgrade to MM (DarkOr or Googly) then upgrade to N. Recommended to use FireLord's TWRP.

I would suggest downgrading back to LP then to MM and finally to N.

1. Flash MIUI 6.6.10 or 5.6.11 using Fastboot/MiRecovery
2. Flash TWRP
3. Flash CM13 + GApps
I want to flash an RR into my Mi 4C. So I unlocked my bootloader by registering in Mi.com.
Firstly I flashed in a TWRP Rec
Code:
fastboot flash recovery ..../twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img
And successfully boot into rec.
Then I tried to install the ROM. After flashing it stuck on the Mi Logo every time.
Tried sideload and "install" by the TWRP but didn't work.
You can simply check your bootloader status by

TWRP selection is related to Android version? Could you please explain a little? When I was flashing my Nexus 6P I've never considered about Android version

After you flashed Nougat based Xiaomi rom, you can't boot on the older version of TWRP.
There is a new TWRP for nougat rom.
If you already flashed Nougat based Xiaomi rom, use the new version. You can find it in here https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/7-2-16-17.38651/

Nothing ever changed
I used this TWRP before.I flashed it in, boot the recovery, flashed in my ROM, checked clear Dalvik cache, pressed Reboot System.
The screen goes dark and never turned on. Press the power button only to realize it Reboot into bootloader.
Every time I reboot it reboot in Bootloader.
Plus I do a FULL wipe every time I flash in and did not work ?
UPDATE!! I flashed in a ROM in XIAOMI.EU and succeed.But why ???
Still failed in flashing in other ROMs

xiaomi.eu provides a modded MIUI. Maybe it's unofficial.
I got a weekly-update version and flashed it in and succeed.
It is MIUI 8

then connect to fastboot & fastboot oem unlock
now flash TWRP for 5.1 rom https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759888487
boot into TWRP & install any other rom.
for nougat based xiaomi.eu rom, read their introductions carefully https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/7-2-16-17.38651/ Don't flash TWRP for nougat rom if you still in 5.1 ( TWRP for nougat https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767135741 )

Dear All,
My Mi 4i phone (model number 2015015) started to reboot frequently. I took it to showroom and he tried to fix it. He failed and handed over phone to me with no Android OS in it. I check and found, it is now only able to go to its stock recovery mode, MI-Recovery 2.0.1 and FASTBOOT mode. So I think, phone is still alive. How should I proceed next to flash either stock ROM or any other?
It has 16GB memory but no slot for SD card.
Kindly guide.
Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

Go to MIUI website and download the fastboot ROM. Download mi flash tool and install in windows and run it. Boot the mi4i in fastboot mode and connect to laptop. Wait till fastboot drivers are installed. The mi tool will show the device; if not then click refresh. Now select the fastboot ROM after you have extracted it to a folder. Click flash all and flash. It will automatically reboot after the ROM has been installed.
Dear hell1134,
Many thanks for your help.
Upon going there I see a lot of roms. Not sure which one to chose. Also from searches I got confused that boot loader image is also sometimes called as rom and sometimes to the recovery module. Is stock rom is a fastboot rom?
I would like to have a stable stock android rom, may be of version 5 or 6. Can you kindly point me to the correct android name or link?
I use Linux. Is it possible to use Linux to run mi flash tool?

Go to this link, and download :
"Xiaomi Mi 4i Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File"
For your question, stock rom is available in both recovery ROM and fastboot ROM but you need the fastboot one. Use the Mi Flash tool to flash this rom (google for instructions or videos).
Many thanks Nihhaar.

Since, I am a novice in Android world, this is a new learning from you.
Do Android OS binaries vary for method to method?
Or the same OS binary but packed differently?
I had read, fastboot uses*.img file but recovery demands *.zip file.
Is this choice about that only?
Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

They are both different:
1) Fastboot packs your recovery, bootloader, modem, firmware and all other **** I don't know which should be flashed using Fastboot protocol.
2) Recovery rom packs only ROM which should be flashed in existing recovery.
What I told is not 100% perfect, because I even don't know exactly. This is just a overview.
Thanks Nihhaar.
Now got to see the difference...

You have nougat bootloader so you can install only nougat roms.
If you want to install lollipop roms you have to do a downgrade to lollipop bootloader.

I am running Lineage Os 14.1
Android version 7.1.2
Twrp - latest official twrp for ferrari 3.2.1.0
How to flash stock miui rom using twrp? As I always get an error like this - failed to extract system to system etc etc and it stucks at the loading screen in twrp till the phone is discharged totally.. And it got bricked.. I had to restore my lineage os backup again from twrp to use my phone..
I also saw many youtube videos of other xiaomi phones where they flash miui rom easily with twrp.. Whats the problem in mi 4i then?
