i treid downloading both the stable and the developer Roms but it when selecting the update package, it gives "Couldn't Verify update package! " any advise?

Same here. I ended up flashing the fastboot ROM via MiFlash, and it worked out just fine.

I can't really speak on it cuz I'm not on the official China stable ROM anymore. I switched to the latest weekly build by MiUI EU. All because I wasn't too fond of neither China Stable nor Developer ROM. Personally I would suggest getting on the EU ROM if you need Google play service on board, and can't stand bloatwares. To be frank, I think I'm just not a fan of MiUI as a whole. Lags here and there. Push notifications not coming through at times. And many more software related issues. I will definitely jump ship once a CM or AOSP ROM comes out. Doubt that will happen any time soon.

I'm on the EU 6.11.10 rom and have no issues with earpiece volume. I'm kinda deft from my youngers days of head pounding loud music.
Its worth a shot since you have nothing to lose.

If you have root install viper4 Android and set your values you like...

I'm getting mine soon. This is my first mi phone. Is it easy to install eu version if it has Chinese rom. And does anyone know which rom they come in originally. I know some people order it and the box be open because they put playstore on their for customers. I'm getting 256gb version will it have eu rom installed?

I've got mine out of the box it was shipped from Hong Kong 4Gb version.

I think it only comes with 2 languages, chinese and english...and the rom it's for chinese market

This will come with a lot more languages mostly that are used within Europe. No Chinese bloatware and all Google services.

Ok, but till now all these Mi MIx 2S only come from Cina...so i thought they only could have a chinese rom...glad that i'm mistaked...

They are coming with a chinese Rom, but for nearly every xiaomi phone there is a xiaomi.eu rom as soon as you unlock your bootloader you can flash it. Sadly we need to use the chinese rom for 15 days until unlocking is possible:/

But how they control that time ? There must be some kind of activation, maybe Xiaomi account related...
Well i'd like to buy the Mix 2S, but i think i'll wait for european stocks, like now Mix 2 stocks

The countdown starts as soon as you try to unlock the first time with the unlock tool. Xiaomi.eu is as good as european stocks(at least that's what I read everywhere, will try both anyway)

This are the EU rom and not the offical global rom, any possibility on how we can install just gapps on the china rom

As far as I know they do it to make it harder for Resellers to install their ****ty rom... It was the same with HTC back then, you had to ask for an unlock.bin file to unlock the bootloader

I received mine today. Have to wait insane 360 hours to get it unlocked.

Can I use Flashify to flash TWRP?

Wouldn't use some app to flash something, just use adb. It's not hard and there are lots of tutorials

Does unlocking the botloader give any disadvantages like with other brands?
Eg less quality of camera?

My WHYRED [Global] is due to be delivered tomorrow.

I got my global version a week back and it came with 9.5 out of the box.

Could someone check how project treble works on it? I'm interested to buy the phone

At the moment the only way to get treble is the Multi-ROM. Hopefully it'll not be too long until there's a LineageOS version.

where can i get this rom for my global? had to reflash and the latest on miui is 7.1, my camera fc's all the time on that rom

Xiaomi.eu stable or weekly?

Hello everyone, so I just flashed stable rom by Xiaomi.eu via unofficial twrp.
It feels cool so far but I don't see any big differences. Is the weekly better? I don't know yet. It doesn't really feel custom to me.
Any advices appreciated!

Done. Got Weekly 8.11.23. No big difference too. I don't find the hype on upgrading to Xiaomi.eu
Not a huge deal imo. (By the way 8.11.29 causing bootloop. Don't try it)
Question: When a new update comes in Xiaomi EU updater it sents you to TWRP. Now I have TWRP Removed because it's not stable. Can I update Xiaomi EU rom through MIUI recovery 3.0?

Ye maybe, but we prefer miui 10 for its new features.
Im using xiaomi eu weekly btw. No sign for camera 2 api yet.

hi guys,i am using stable 10.2.2 with api 2 and gcam.....it works perfect
here the best gcam version for RN5Pro and RN6Pro ----> go for Version 5.2.022 from tolyan009 ..... its the best for me

Only using TWRP, so you'll need at least an unlocked bootloader for that

You're supposed to be on Global Stable 10.3.8.0. The dev roms ended 5 months ago, so you're most likely not going to get an OTA for MIUI 11.
Either you can flash the update zip through TWRP, if you have bootloader unlocked, or you can go to the updater, manually select the 10.3.8.0 OTA, and wait for the MIUI 11 OTA notification.
Maybe trying to do the same with the MIUI 11 OTA on the OP post could work, if you don't want to flash the 10.3.8.0 rom first, but I don't know if it's safe, considering you'd be going from Beta MIUI 10 to Global MIUI 11.
Also, you'll most likely lose your data in the process, so doing a backup is recomended.

Is this the MIUI version where they added widevine L1 to Poco? My phone is from very early releases and I changed the ROM before MIUI included Widevine for Poco, but some Devs say that you can flash MIUI to get Widevine and after that flash any other ROM and you will keep it.
