Xiaomi.eu stable or weekly? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, so I just flashed stable rom by Xiaomi.eu via unofficial twrp.
It feels cool so far but I don't see any big differences. Is the weekly better? I don't know yet. It doesn't really feel custom to me.
Any advices appreciated!

Go for weekly

Done. Got Weekly 8.11.23. No big difference too. I don't find the hype on upgrading to Xiaomi.eu
Not a huge deal imo. (By the way 8.11.29 causing bootloop. Don't try it)
Question: When a new update comes in Xiaomi EU updater it sents you to TWRP. Now I have TWRP Removed because it's not stable. Can I update Xiaomi EU rom through MIUI recovery 3.0?

Happy with custom ROMs?

Now that we seem to be able to get unlock codes again (got mine today), wondering how people who have installed custom ROMs are liking them?
I am curious about RR, because I have been using it on my OnePlus One for years and very happy with it (not with the Oreo test version, though). But RR has not been updated for a while on the View 10.
How do the photos on the custom ROMs compare with on the Honor ROM? Any luck with installing the Pixel camera?
I am assuming that getting away from EMUI will mean that reminders will fire on time, right?
Please share your experience and opinions. Thanks.

I guess so. Not sure about latest gcam version, lately I barely take photos, but mine is only buggy with night mode.
About Battery life, with new update it is very good, but probably with miui It's possible you can get a little more sot.
The remaining features, like BT, wifi...I didn't find any bug

I thought maybe there is a stable and free bug Android 9 based custom ROM.
I tested all from xda, always there was some bugs
Thanks for your answer.
I will avoid those ROMs until we get a real stable one with all of the features working. It's not worth the time...

My recommendation will be to not dirty flash as these are different MIUI version and mods.
Still if you want to, check if Masik MIUI 10 is also based on China Stable ROM. If yes then you can try dirty flashing and see.
But please do take TWRP backup in case something goes wrong. All the best
Clean flash is recommended else u face bugs like in my case messaging force closes again and again and i do not recieve msgs so reverted back to last rom

You will have to try and compare to find exact differences or changelogs from MIUI.
As per my past experience with Redmi Note 3 (kenzo) beta is more updated though has some issues here and there. Further, they have a more frequent update cycle. Too much flashing !!

Yes - I have flashed it in past Xiaomi.eu ROMs starting v10 - they have anti-rollback protection unless you want to go below anti 4 ROMs.

I think it's Rom dependent, not Android version dependent. Because I'm using the original one on LineageOS 17.1 and it works perfectly fine.

hey. I'm using MIUIPRO 20.3.26 version, but buffer fix broke stock cam.
Is it possible to fix?
Thanks!
Hello everyone, I just updated to Android 10. (MIUI Global 11.0.1 Stable QFCEUXM)
Work the Bufferfix with this version and work the Stock Cam perfect? I want to flash it with TWRP.
Many thanks
Great work! It works perfectly on Android 10.
I read that even users of the Mi 9 SE are using it on their devices
Can we download GCAM from the market when we flash this?
Works for LOS 17.1, flashed via Magisk
Thanks friend!
Not working on latest MIUI11..0.3.0(QFCMIXM), using TWRP.
It's working on Mi 9 lite, Android 10 MIUI 12.1 (20,7.23). i needed to download Twrp flashable version, mount Vendro and flash it. After restart GCAM don't lag, and stock cam don't crash.
Installed with Magisk on MIUI 12.1 (Xiaomi.eu version) and it's working 100%, no crash on stock cam either.

If I knew what I know now, I should have stayed in MIUI 12.5.
Some features are gone in MIUI 13.
So, you could have a point there keeping in A11.

I use xiaomi.eu rom, because of the camera swap of the Zoom Edition to my Poco F2 Pro.
Is super smooth and fast, nothing to complain about.
The problem is that it is based on MIUI 13, which removed the forced dark mode on some apps, for example.
