Probably is not the best forum to ask, I recently got this wireless charger for my Nexus 4. It looks slick and price wise is very affordable. Should really work fine, but I am having this issue where it says it is charging but after a while, is not charging any at all. I tried it aligning with the induction coil in many positions but so far no luck.
However, my phone is indeed charged with a LG wireless charger. So it is not the phone.
Has anyone use this charger with the Nexus 4?
Possibly not supplying enough power. Compare out power specs of ur stock charger with the new one. Should be on the devices. Could be the plug itself

Based on the Amazon reviews and number of photos of that model catching fire I would probably avoid it. Never before have I seen so many photos of a battery pack like that. Be careful.

Thanks for the catch. Sorry about that. I only noticed that it was on sale and had 4 stars.
Also, didn't some of the folks on this forum report that it wasn't compatible with the Moto X?

This one?: http://www.mi.com/en/pb10400/
I got one in Hong Kong and used the included cable. If it's Quick Charge compatible that's amazing. I don't see anything on the site saying it is, so I never thought to test it.

So you plug it in and turbo charging is displayed on your screen?
It's doesnt say "turbo charging" but (could be my imagination) it seems to charge faster than a regular charger. for the price its cheap, has done me good so far. owned it a month now.
http://www.amazon.com/KMASHI-15000m...id=1455681106&sr=8-1&keywords=kmashi+15000mah
That charger is 5v 2.1A =10w of charge
Turbo charger defaults on 9v 2.85=25w of charge
ChoeTech 15600mAh power pack works. The phone shows turbo charging.
The key is to have the battery pack off before connecting the phone and then turn on the pack after the phone is connected.
One of the LED will turn green to show that it's QC and the phone display will show 'turbo charging'.
I have the anker 10400, it works well

I have this one: http://smile.amazon.com/Charge-Port...1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
Supports QC 2.0 (Turbo Charge) and have never had any issues with it on my MXPure.
has anyone tried this one before http://www.amazon.com/KMASHI-20000m...ie=UTF8&qid=1462319487&sr=1-9&keywords=qc+2.0 ? ive seen it go on sale at deals.kinja.com for as low as 20$ but i missed the sale...been waiting for it to pop back up again. got this one foe 14$ but had to return it because it shuts off after 10 seconds http://www.amazon.com/10400mAh-Port...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I'll start off by pointing out that my HTC and JDB QC3 chargers "rapid charge" my Pixel C.
I then direct you to step 10 where iFixit found silicone for quick charge 3 https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Google+Pixel+XL+Teardown/71237
I have to wait for 2 more days to test it, but I'll bet the Pixel can rapid charge at least at 5v3a via QC3 accessories
I sort of doubt this. The SD810 on the 6P had QC built in, yet it did not work. I believe this will be the same case.

If you have a killawatt device ($20 or less on sale), you can plug your charger through that and it will show you the watts it is pulling. Here is the amazon link for it:

Wow, never thought to do this. I've had a Kill-a-watt device for YEARS and have hardly used it... great idea!
Why would you want to charge it with QC 3.0? 18W=18W no matter what standard is used to transfer the power. We shouldnt support QC as it is not compliant with the superior USB PD Standard.
Did some testing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69309771&postcount=30
Anyone planning on or tried wireless charging yet? I see some decent reviews for the model below on Amazon. Just curious if it will charge quicker than my current phone (Nexus 6)?

The Pixel does not support wireless charging. You would need to install one of those stick on QI compliant receivers that plug into the USB C port.

I don't have first hand experience, but I see a few problems.
First, the USB C factory charger charges the phone to 70% in 15 minutes. It isn't like previous devices where you would throw it on the QI charger every spare moment because the battery took forever to charge. Second, the voltage output is not device specific and would take longer to charge the phone than using a standard USB C cable/charger.
I guess what I am saying is that yeah, any of the QI compliant stickers would work, but I ask, are they useful? I lived by QI on my Nexus 6, but seeing what type of battery life I get now, coupled with the ridiculously quick charge times, I no longer see the merit.
I don't mean to thread crap, but it took me a while to get over QI when weighing my options to upgrade. I honestly no longer miss wireless charging. I miss my dual facing stereo speaker and my almost 0 bezel from my Nexus 6, but not QI.
I hope this somewhat helps.

Definitely helps, and yes I too am struggling with just getting over wireless charging. It's just hard to cast aside all the wireless accessories (for 2 phones, my wife has one as well).
I think once there is an external DAC that has inline charging I'll happily dump the wireless charging idea haha!

Cheap! $9.00 (20w) Generic Desktop Fast Charging Stand (Working w/NON OEM AC USB) including SAMSUNG Fast Wireless AC / USB
___________________
First let me say I have absolute ZERO affiliation to anything relating the sale of this product!
I am just sharing the wealth here for as being still such an unclarity on proper working charging accessories. A small gamble I took on purchasing (2) of these cheapies on EBAY turned out to be quite
a surprise.
__________________
Using with GP4XL (Unlocked)
• Fast Wireless Charging (13.2w confirmed)
• Charger immediately recognized on device (as PIXEL STAND) enabling additional GOOGLE ASSISTANT software
• Working w/various GENERIC AC Adapters & USB cables (YAY!)
including SAMSUNG FAST WIRELESS AC / USB + more
• No issues of overheating or phone getting warm.
I am unsure if the specs are EPP charging (as a listed requirement of FAST CHARGING via Google) though it seems to be doing the job as if it was.
What I did find ODD is that these chargers DO NOT play nice using the GENUINE AC Adapter & USB C cable that shipped with the PIXEL 4. SLOW CHARGING AT MAX! Go Figure?
I have tested various older USB cables and USB C adapters and all with no issues w/Fast Charging (though obviously keep in mind results do vary with stuff like this!)
Regardless, for $9 bux, its worth checking out for anyone who is interested.

Dumb question: does the generic AC USB plug being used with this stand still need to be USB-PD capable?

I think it only needs to be quick charge 2.0/3.0 capable. Didn't the OP say he had trouble using the original pixel charger that came with his phone? I actually ran into issues using my original pixel wall charger with some wireless car charger mounts. They worked fine with QC chargers.

I ordered one too for 10 bucks it's worth a try.
They sent two of these to me. Both show max 8.4 watts no matter what cable/plug I use and I have many. It also does not present itself as a Pixel Stand - those features are not available.
To add, I noticed the stands get in a state that bounces power on/off very quickly and doesn't stop. I would avoid these.

Yes, bouncing like a bad port on a router/switch. It goes from charging/not charging very quickly over and over after about 3-5 minutes of charging.
mine arrived today, I can also confirm slow charging and no pixel stand functionality no matter what adapter or cable I use

Sorry for any delayed responses here (holiday) though I have just caught these testing results.
I just received an additional (2) of the same chargers and all seem to charge fine here. (Pixel 4 XL)
All being used with Samsung AC Fast Charging AC adapter.
Check to see if the AC adapter you are using has both 5v & 9v output. (Must have 9v for the FAST to charge)
-
Can you post a photo of the AC adapter that you are using ? (all photos could be of assistance here.)
The stand itself is 20w so fast charging would more or less come down to the AC plug.
** Keep in mind that the OG cable and AC charger plug that came with the PIXEL phone is not compatible
with this charger that will hit at SLOW. (mentioned in OG post)
I tried several, from the OEM to choetech to aukey to zte. I used the cable it came with, OEM a to c, OEM c, third party c; i tried both type c and qc3 chargers...all with no success. I wouldn't think the pixel stand feature shouldn't have anything to do with charging speed, though I can't say for sure

I believe the PIXEL stand software features only become enabled when detecting a FAST CHARGE at 13.5w.
(which is capable when using AC adapters of 9v & more)
The only AC adapter I personally have found to be non working was THE OG stuff & USB C to USB C
Most USB C to USB A seemed to work with no hitch.
USB C adapters, had no issues with them either. worked fine.
Can you snap of picture of the AC adapter labels. ?
See if we could narrow down the issues.
also one last .... check the actual charging wattage using the app Inware. (Battery Tab)
The lock screen charging message will ONLY show Charging Wireless - not rapid charging (which is easily misleading) though is running at FAST WIRELESS CHARGING speeds.

Using with LG stylo 5 fast adapter and the chargingspeed is fast. between 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours total. Using with Usb C to Usb A cable 3 ft.
My only issue really was trying to get the extra software up and running. I couldn't figure out why or how to do it. strange as I moved my pixel phone upwards while resting on the dock all of a sudden it just appeared out of nowhere to activate all the extras. weird device for sure but works.

Knowing they are knock offs, I am kind of curious to see what the long run holds. Thanks for the info.
