Amazon has an Aukey with QC. There's a deal today $19 for 15,000mAh. Check it out at Kinja: http://deals.kinja.com/this-19-external-battery-includes-quick-charge-2-0-1757879702

Based on the Amazon reviews and number of photos of that model catching fire I would probably avoid it. Never before have I seen so many photos of a battery pack like that. Be careful.

Thanks for the catch. Sorry about that. I only noticed that it was on sale and had 4 stars.
Also, didn't some of the folks on this forum report that it wasn't compatible with the Moto X?

This one?: http://www.mi.com/en/pb10400/
I got one in Hong Kong and used the included cable. If it's Quick Charge compatible that's amazing. I don't see anything on the site saying it is, so I never thought to test it.

So you plug it in and turbo charging is displayed on your screen?
It's doesnt say "turbo charging" but (could be my imagination) it seems to charge faster than a regular charger. for the price its cheap, has done me good so far. owned it a month now.
http://www.amazon.com/KMASHI-15000m...id=1455681106&sr=8-1&keywords=kmashi+15000mah
That charger is 5v 2.1A =10w of charge
Turbo charger defaults on 9v 2.85=25w of charge
ChoeTech 15600mAh power pack works. The phone shows turbo charging.
The key is to have the battery pack off before connecting the phone and then turn on the pack after the phone is connected.
One of the LED will turn green to show that it's QC and the phone display will show 'turbo charging'.

has anyone tried this one before http://www.amazon.com/KMASHI-20000m...ie=UTF8&qid=1462319487&sr=1-9&keywords=qc+2.0 ? ive seen it go on sale at deals.kinja.com for as low as 20$ but i missed the sale...been waiting for it to pop back up again. got this one foe 14$ but had to return it because it shuts off after 10 seconds http://www.amazon.com/10400mAh-Port...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I have had and used this on my Droid Turbo, worked great thought I would have no problem using it with my Pure Edition.
http://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Cert...400mAh+Portable+External+Battery+Fast+Charger
Now that I have the Moto X Pure I plug it in and it shuts off about 10 seconds after. anyone else have this problem?
EDIT: thats weird seems to be fine now. Wish i could remember what i did to fix it. I was messing with this way and that.
Nope still not working with my Moto X Pure Edition.
Will see if they replace it.
It works with other Quick charge phones like Nexus 6 but shuts its self off about 10sec after turning it on in the Moto X Pure.
I see a few of you purchased this item does it work for anyone else?
They must have changed something on the charging port. I have the nexus 6 too.
I have Android auto, the cord that works for my nexus 6 doesn't work on the moto x. It will flash the debug icon then shut off repeatedly.
But the turbo charger cord from the nexus 6 charger does work.
I know kinda off topic, but I think it is a similar issue.

Other than the Moto X issues, is this a good quality item? It looks like it's made of metal, is that so?
Wait...is this a moto x cable issue or a moto x issue?

This is a 2015 Moto X issue. I have seen other threads in other forums posting this problem (not just me). I did try different cable and same result. I think it because of the wattage.
I email Aunkey about this and no response yet (been 1 day)
This worked very well for my Droid Turbo and yes its metal
Hi Jerry,
Thanks for contacting us.
Because we have no this phone to have a test, and we can not figure out if this phone is incompatible with this item. So we can only give you a full refund for this item. We are afraid a replacement can not solve this problem..So please feel free to tell us if it is acceptable to you.
Waiting for your reply.

Okay so I got the Anker Power Core 10050 battery pack quick charge from Amazon today. I opened up the package and plug the battery pack in the phone, it started charging right away for about 20 seconds and then shut off. I unplugged the battery pack and plugged it back in the phone had no idea it was plugged in and ready to be charged, so I pushed the button on the battery pack and it charged for about 30 seconds and shut off. I grabbed a battery pack that is not quick charge and plugged it into my phone and it was fine continue to charge. I plugged back in the quick charge battery pack and it continued to charge for about 15 minutes I looked over and it was shut off again. started the battery pack again went and took a shower and now it's still going looks like it'll make 100% from 60%.
I would challenge anybody that has this battery pack or the other battery pack to try and plug it in from at least 30% battery and let the thread know that its ok or you're having the same issue.
Just curious...what kinds of cables are you guys using? I'm guessing the Pure is sensitive to quality cables since the stock charger is attached.

Do any of you have the older Anker or other external battery packs where it charges? the Anker IQ is suppose to charge the phone at its highest speed. I have two of these and wonder if I would have issues with these or if its just a Quick Charge issue.
With the Anker IQ, charging my LG G3 is pretty quick. Quicker than using the wall unit.
I think it's just a quick charge issue. The battery quick chargers are useless for the pure since they shut off weather you want it to turbo charge of not, you get nothing, no charge

Anyone know if Motorola or third parties will ever offer a 25W Turbo Car Charger? I feel like that's where we need it most.

Depends how sharp eyed you are I suppose. For me the main reason to have those extra watts is so that the battery can still charge at a good rate while running google maps on the phone while driving. That GPS, screen, GPU and CPU take a good chunk of energy.

I use the Moto 15w car Turbo Charger while running TomTom Go. It uses more battery than any navigation app I have ever used. And I still get a charge moving upward while using it. A regular charger had trouble keeping up with TomTom Go, on my old M7. But I could use Google Maps navigation on the M7 on the car charger just fine.

This one is supposed to be QC 2.0, so I'm not sure what to believe.
Maybe the mxp needs 3.0? Also have you checked the amps when the mxp is connected to the 2.0 port?

Expired. A day late I'm afraid :/
Having read elsewhere on this charger and reading some of the comments on Amazon, it sounds like this does quickcharge the Pure. Will be getting mine Sunday and will let ya know.
Got mine today w/free 1-day Fedex Saturday del'y (from NJ to CT). Phone displays 'Connected to Turbocharger' (or something similar) when plugged in, and Battery Doctor indicated 23 minutes to full charge from ~75%. About 20-25 minutes later I checked and it was at 96% after using Maps with GPS/High Accuracy for part of that time, so it definitely seems to do pretty well.
Thanks for the update. I feel better about my purchase.
Sent from my VK810 4G using Tapatalk
Ok now if only they had the sale back... it is just worrying when you go to buy a product and the manufacture explicitly states it does not work with your device. lol
JUST got mine. It works!. The "TurboPower Connected" toast message even shows up. It's plugged into my bench power supply right now, it's old school so the amp meter is analogue, but It's definitely over an amp with the needle closer to 2amp @ 13.8V. So probably right at the 12V/1.5A max it's rated for.
Mine came in today. I can verify that mine is working as well.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
Don't think I've seen that 'turboPower connect' message ever but I used this charger and it definitely charges quick! I had it going with music playing while it was navigating and the battery was still increasing at a pretty good clip. Not had a charger I can sit and watch it go up percentage wise while watching.
Ok so my turbo charger 25w that came with my moto x pure got chewed up, I need a replacement, how ever I cannot find that charger anywhere no store online carries it, not even Motorola themselves!! Even Motorola said that moto x pure comes with 15 watt charger, does anyone know about this issue and where could I possibly find this charger thanks y'all

I have a Belkin 15w since previous phones. Bare in mind that any non OP 30w charger will max out on 5w with the OP8P...

Hi,
What is your experience thus far? I've been using it for a while seems like %100 charge takes about 2:30 hours and in the instruction booklet it states that when charge is complete blue light should turn off! mine doesn't turn off what about your's?

Two things come to mind. Do you have optimized charging on? Do you have a case on?
Optimized charging only charges up to 80% at night and then learns when you get up. It starts topping off the phone about an hour and a half before your get up
I've noticed just about any case drastically slows down charging. I've messaged in Ampere and gotten close to 5000ma with no case. With a case it's more like 1500ma. Seems to be the design of the charger now than the phone though. Regular wireless chargers don't seem to have that drop off

Yeah, i have a pretty thing case on and it destroys the charging speed. I get about max 1000mah with it on and 5000odd with it off. [emoji22][emoji22]
