Can't say for sure as I'm still on pie, but have you tried to disable the automatic rotation icon? Kinda looks like it...

Just tried with System UI tuner app but it's not that.
You may go to Settings -> Screen -> Statusbar icon manager (or something like that) and disable items on by one. If it is a system icon it will disappear after disabling an item. If not you should look for an installed app.
BTW, where did you get that nice background image?

Didn't work...
I got this image from instagram
I found that the icon is caused by my keyboard app (Smart Keyboard) but haven't figured out how to make it disappear without changing from keyboard app...

Could you please elaborate on this and add something of importance to the question asked by the OP?

Would you be able to disable the icon in Settings > Display > Status bar icon manager?

Hey guys
Playing around with Lollipop I accidentally added Invert colors into my quick settings menu. All the information I found said I needed to root and clear SystemUI data in order to remove it, but then I found this
Enable USB Debugging
Connect to a PC with adb
In a terminal type: adb shell pm clear com.android.systemui
Reboot phone
It will clear your wallpaper, but it does reset QuickSettings!

neat. i didnt realize that it was a feature in lollipop, you can add stuff to the quick toggle! what i did was just use a function(hotspot) and it got added to the pulldown
can u tell us exactly how to add or remove if possible?

use a system function(like hotspot). while its on, itll be in the pulldown. if you dont use it for a little period of time, itll disappear.
So you cant add or remove toggles willingly, its based on how often you use it.

[MOD] NavBar Gone

In settings, if you go to Display>Advanced>Display Size and turn it to small it makes content on the display smaller.

Enable developer options and set smallest width to 500 .You might want to also max out text size in display settings. Still not small enough, go up to 580!
Anyone know a launcher which will hide the navbar. I know lineage OS has the option to hide status and/or navbar.. I don't feel like using the adb hack to go immersive mode, would be nice if a launcher offered the option

I know you didn't feel like using the adb hack, but if you were happy to have a single adb session you could use SystemUI Tuner - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zacharee1.systemuituner . You just need to set give it the required permissions in adb and then you can control immersive mode from the app whenever you fancy.
It also allows a couple of other handy things like setting custom notification snooze durations.
Thanks I will try this.

Thanks. I am looking to hide it like lineage OS where you can swipe up to see it again, not totally remove it. Was hoping a launcher might have that but haven't seen one yet.
Short of it is that my phone came from GS with OEM unlock locked. I want to love this phone but hate lack of viewable screen. I read that Nova Launcher can hide the Nav Buttons but I have 5.4.1 and cannot see where to turn on the function.
Thanks in advance.

It's supposed to be in beta, but I don't see option for nav and I'm on beta
Open system settings. Type 'notification access' in searchbar, open it and enable Poco launcher.
I'm missing the count number over the icons.
I'm missing my battery percentage and the ability to change fonts. Otherwise no real problems with this phone yet...
Mind you, it's been less than 24 hours since I got it but been playing with it for a solid 8 hours...

Search for zikko in themes store and you'll solve the issue with battery percentage. You can even use just the status bar from that theme if you don't like the entire theme.

Oh yes, I even sent this as a suggestion from the Poco launcher feedback form. I believe more of us should do this.

Thank you so much. This even added more toggles in the expanded status bar. Now I've 14+sort instead of just 11+sort.
By the way is there an option to change sound profile (sound/vibrate/silent) with the same button like with other android phones. The only way I can have VIBRATE ONLY is if I enable both the silent and vibrate toggle. Kinda stupid and annoying.

Yeah, I thought it was broken when i first saw it without number )))) Now, i'm used to it .... Although it feels empty, my OCD says it needs at least a black dot in it, if not number.

Since then I've updated to the MIUI 10 beta rom, it has % inside the battery logo, but there are some themes available to fix that so battery % is bigger and displayed beside/ instead of the battery icon...
Like this phone, Quick and not too bad. The theme I use has a black background that hides the notch well but displays the few icons we have there...
Hope you're enjoying your experience as some have had hardware issues that I haven't experienced.
Cheers...
Think I just got PIE ?

The only bug (or is it a feature?) I found till now is the color of the navbar. It's now white (don't like it). Found no way to change it back as before (black background with white symbols) Tried it with the xpreia launcher and the nova launcher.

Did you get a white navbar too?
I think the white navbar icon with white background is not a bug, when you're doing something with your phone and you're not touching the navbar area, the icons in the navbar will fade to an off-white colour. But when you're doing something that involves even just touching the blank parts of the navbar area, the icons will show their true colours.
The real bug is actually the navbar icons are way too close to each other.

I don't think it's a bug, my navbar changes color depending on app. It does go white on Spotify which is all black so it looks bad, but on other apps it does change to black like messages, Twitter or anytime I use the keyboard. I'm guessing the app picks the color unless the app isn't updated so it defaults to white.

I don't know for sure, I read it on reddit.
I think I found a bug, when adjusting the incoming call volume in audio settings it plays the alarm sound and when adjusting the notification volume it plays the call sound. The correct sound plays when actually receiving a call
Yes pie ? was the latest release

Niceone sony. I think they are the 1st to release pie this year.
and crap, as usual my system update OTA is broken and fails to install on my H8296.
wonder if flashing a different region's firmware (initially went from Taiwan to India because the TW/HK updates are weeks behind) killed the mechanism. currently on DE and it hasn't made any difference for OTA. On to XperiFirm... Bother.
