Hello,
A neighbor asked me if I could fix his Xperia Z5 phone which is stuck on "optimizing apps". Restarts and the comes back to the same screen once it reboots.
Phone:
Xperia Z5
Locked bootoader
No USB Debugging
Things I've tried:
1. Xperia PC companion
- Needs unlock code which I can't go to.
2. Fastboot(drivers installed)
- PC detects the phone on device manager but " fastboot devices" don't report anything.
3. ADB commands while on "optimizing loop"
- No device detected
Is there any way I could flash TWRP on this phone?
Thanks

Hi guys!
I would seriously appreciate help with this case.
I have friend's Xperia J on my hands, trying to bring it back to life.
The situation is like this:
The phone had failed upgrade to Jelly Bean (I have no specific info how that happened). Now it boots, goes through 'Android is upgrading' phase (optimising applications), goes to homescreen, and then after a few moments a lot of crashes happen (for example "Unfortunatelly DownloadAgent has stopped working") and after some time (usually 1 min) phone freezes and restarts.
To me it seemed like an easy case - just reflash stock firmware and we're good. So i've tried repairing through PC Sony Companion, but when I am told by software to put the phone into flash mode (vol down + usb cable) it just sits there not detecting the phone. I've tried windows 8.1 and windows 7 machines and usb 2.0 with sony cable.
Next, I've tried flashtool, also installing flashtool drivers. When I'm told to plug usb cable, it only goes to 'Reading device information' and just sits there. (Green led is lit).
When I check drivers with phone in flash mode this is what I get:
11/029/2015 13:29:56 - INFO - List of connected devices (Device Id) :
11/029/2015 13:29:56 - INFO - - USB\VID_0FCE&PID_ADDE\5&212AC8FC&0&3 Driver installed : true
So, I'm kind of out of options here, and any help would be appreciated! Also, I suppose that 'USB Debugging' is not turned on, it is hard to check with all those crashes happening, but I dont think it matters.
Thank you for any suggestion :good:
Try with different cable, and connect it on back usb port. I had problems with flashing with original cable that comes with phone, now i use short 10cm from Nokia. I haven't had any problems since.
Good Luck.

Dear XDA Community,
I'm trying to revive an E3. The user of it told me it just suddenly stopped working while watching a YouTube video, and she couldn't turn it on since then. The phone literally looks dead. No signs at all, except one: The phone was first seen in Device Manager as "QHSUSB_BULK" (with an exclamation mark), then I installed the Flashtool drivers and it's now recognized as a "SOMC Flash Device". That's all.
I have tried to recognize the phone with Sony PC Companion, Emma, and the Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde (found the program as "flashtool-0.9.19.8"). None of them could detect the phone as a phone, except the last one mentioned (flashtool-0.9.19.8), but it just kinda detects it halfway.
Here's the log it gives:
08/011/2016 06:11:12 - INFO - Starting phone detection
08/011/2016 06:11:18 - INFO - Device disconnected
08/011/2016 06:11:47 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
08/011/2016 06:11:47 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
When I try to access it with fastboot mode, and press the "Check current device status" button, I get this:
30/040/2016 18:40:33 - INFO - Device Status: NOT FOUND
I also tried booting the phone into fastboot mode (holding volume up and power button, but nothing happens at all).
:crying::crying::crying::crying:help,help,help....
Is there any hope to fix it?
Thank you in advance!
On flash tool was you holding volume up + power?

Guys my m2 stuck in semc flash device..
When i connect with pc..
In device manager it shows semc flash....
No flashmode and fastboot mode when i press volume down and up keys.
Flashtool doesn't detected..
Sony pc companion doesn't detected
Please help me..
I don't knw what to do!!
Connect your phone, go to device manager and uninstall the driver and disconnect your phone,
Now if you're running Windows 8+ restart your PC with driver signature enforcement disabled through advance boot, now go to C:\Flashtool\drivers and open the driver installer and install Flashmode and fastboot drivers and now connect your phone and go to device manager and install the Sony Xperia M2 driver http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-m2-driver/
Once that's done open your sim/microsd tray and use a pin and click on the red button inside the hole,
Now connect your phone to your PC and tell me what it says in device manager and later open PC companion and see what it detects
Help
What you said i did..
But my phone is detected as semc flash device..
Device doesn't goes to flashmode or fastboot mode...
If i connect my device in another pc which doesn't have any drivers for adb or Xperia m2.
It shows "qhusb bulk" in device manager..
I don't know what it means?
Only red light blinking
...
So my friend gave me this phone since he forgot the pin and the google account. The data in this phone is not important but the problem here is that:
1. Cant get to ADB because my PC is not authorized (he did enabled USB debugging though)
2. No way of unlocking the device (running on nougat), maybe brute force?
3. Apparently Emma and PC Companion doesnt work. Emma said this phone is locked. PC Companion "repair" option fails
4. Cannot boot to recovery because Sony
Note that i dont neeed the data inside. Just want to get this phone usable again, change the battery and LCD (touchscreen only works at the side) and use it.
Side note: Emma says this phone is E6553 (int'l ver) while the error code in PC Companion says SO-03G (Docomo ver) maybe because of this PC companion just gave up? Oh and also sometimes while booting it will just bootloop at the sony startup animation screen and then red light blinking 3 times.
