[S8][Anime][Sound Boot Animation] S8 Kimi No Na Wa Boot animation with sound - Samsung Galaxy S8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello there!
I'm in love with your name since it came out and decided to finally share the bootanimation I made of it. (S8 only)
PREVIEW
I am not responsible for bricked phones, bootloops and imploding kittens.
Instructions:
Download the KimiNoNaWaBoot.zip from here.
With a Root File Browser navigate to /system/media and rename your original bootsamsungloop.qmg to something else like .qmg1 like I did.
Paste the new qmg file from the zip folder you've downloaded.
Change it's permissions to rw-r--r--
(If you want the animation only and not the sound, you can ignore the following part.)
Sound:
Navigate to /system/media/audio/ui and check wether you already have a PowerOn.ogg file. I didn't.
In case there is one, rename it to .ogg1 or whatever you like.
Paste the PowerOn.ogg file from the zip in there and change it's permission to rw-r--r-- as well.
Sometimes the audio kicks in delayed but I have never actually cared since I don't reboot often.
Hope you like it

[Q] How to change Bootanimation in Kyrillo's ROM v10.4

Hey, I'd like to know how to change the bootanimation in Kyrillo's ROM as ive already tried BootAni and some other apps and even tried manually changing the Bootanimation in "data" and "system/media"...didnt work.... it'd be great if i could get some help and if possible in a step by step manner...
1. Find a suitable replacement in bootanimation.zip format.
2.check to make sure this isnt an update zip. (do this by exploring the file, it should consist of only files names "part0" and "desc.txt" and maybe "part1")
3.If it is a update zip, unzip it and extract the bootanimationzip inside it.
4. place this onto sd card
5. use root explorer or similar to move the file to system/media, making sure it is named "bootanimation.zip" it should say something like "file exists, replace it?". say yes.
6. now long press the new file and open up permissions in the menu. set these as rw-r--r--
7. reboot phone and enjoy!
bear in mind that kyrillos 10.4 is based on open fimg, so you may have white patched in the boot animation, just like the one preloaded onto it.
In 10.4, Kyrillos has fixed the white patches in SOME bootanimation, like the stock one.

I did ..
On an extra note:
If you want to avoid having white flashes in your bootanimations on any rom with openFIMG you should look for one with less than 75 frames in the part1 folder. Any frames past that turn white...
Tried didnt work!!....

[BOOT ANIMATION] THC "Quietly Burnt" Ported

I ported this boot animation per a request for the DNA, then was asked by another XDA member (box of kittens) if I could make it work for the One XL as well. I've never messed with the One XL before, but these aren't too difficult to do, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Please note that the Installation Instructions are just copy/pasted from my DNA thread, but they should be pretty much the same for the One XL. If someone would like to confirm or provide better instructions I would be happy to update this OP.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Copy to your device
- Use a root explorer (I use ES File Manager) to navigate to /system/customize/resource/
- Rename the current boot animation file by changing the file extension from .zip to .bak or .old
- Copy/paste the new boot animation file into the /system/customize/resource/ folder
- Open the File properties and make sure Group and Other have Read permissions (rw- r-- r--)
- Reboot and enjoy
THC - Quietly Burnt
** This was a originally created by Big305 at XDA. I just ported it.**

Here is a link to my Droid DNA post which contains some other boot ani's. They will not work on the One XL, but if anyone is interested in getting them ported over feel free to hit me up.

Thanks again...the installation instructions work perfectly... But there was two bootanimation.zip's in there originally but I changed both of them to .bak and renamed this one and set the correct permissions and it worked great
The only place I was able to locate a file called "bootanimation.zip" was in /system/media, as searched in ES File Explorer. This is on a Sense-based ROM (RebelROM) not sure if/how it would differ for different ROMs. I followed the instructions with this folder path instead, renamed your file to bootanimation.zip, changed permissions, but the same boot animation remained there. Is this only for AOSP/CM-based ROMs?
EDIT: I decided to try to put the same bootanimation.zip file in the /system/customize/resource/ folder just for kicks, same result.

I downloaded RebelROM and looked around the zip file... you are right it is in the system/media/ folder, but the schema is different.
Try this file instead and let me know if it works. Follow the same instructions, but put it in the /system/media/ folder.

Maybe you can help me out. I have a bunch of custom boot animations and G3 but, cant get any of them to work. I even took the factory AT&T ball boot animation, changed the blue to red and left the rest the same and that didn't work. What can i do?
C-TRILLIGAF
Why both a RAR and a Zip file?

CM11 stock bootanimation -black one.

Here is the default black bootanimation for cm12 instead of the white one, it is kinda silly, with all due respect.
Steps:
rename the default bootanimation.zip to bootanimatio.zip.backup or delete it
download the zip file and place it under /system/media
change the permissions to -rw-r--r--.
reboot to check.
Press thanks please.

[Completed] bootanimation.zip is missing [Galaxy S3, Rooted], how do I change Vanilla boot animat

I'm running a Galaxy S3 on Android version 4.3, and I am trying to change my current boot animation. I have the custom bootanimation.zip file on my phones SD card, and placed it in system/media. After a reboot, nothing changed so I went to local/data, but achieved the same result. Before placing the files in those folders, I noticed that there was no existing bootanimation.zip file in either of the folders, and system/media contains files like: "bootsamsung.qmg" or "bootsamsungloop.qmg"
Thank You
PS
The permissions are correct on my bootanimation.zip file (rw-r--r--)
Hi.
Check this thread to enable bootanimation.zip based animation
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/help-installing-galaxy-s3-custom-boot-t1843569
Please read the complete thread and follow instructions properly. Or else you will end up with never ending animation.
