Thanks for........
As per My knowledge,
If hide in magisk
Magisk manager hides super user permission
But payment apps still can identify magisk manager is installed on that device.
So goto settings in magisk manager >> Hide magisk manager with random name
This will works best.....

Cubot King Kong custom ROM or Android go?

Hi everyone,
First post here. I purchased a Cubot Kingkong. I liked the toughness and the price. Has Android Nougat, 2gb of Ram, 16gb ROM, MT 6580 quad core processor.
What I don't like is that it's slow, in my opinion. I tried to find a custom ROM, but couldn't find one.
Do you a custom ROM that can work? Thought about Android go, but it would need to be updated to Oreo first.
Thanks for your help.
Slow? I have this phone and I find it very reasonably snappy for its specs. The MT6580 is a 2016 entry-level processor. Not any great performer and no firmware will do miracles.
Besides, its Nougat Android is 100% bloat-free (a good surprise I must say). And the 2 Gb of RAM are enough to run it correctly. Don't think Android One would make much of a change here.
Your expectations might be too high for a sub-100€ phone.
does anyone have a scatter file or custom recovery for this phone? how did you root?
CUBOT KING KONG B-1 (X511) Android 7.0 quick TWRP + rooting guide
WARNING: You do a factory reset! all data lost! unlocking - warranty lost!
edit: With locked bootloader, you can not flash from fastboot. BUT - Yippee! - SP Flash Tool is able to flash twrp.img for encrypted device with locked bootloader (and FRP / OEM lock!) without data loss. TWRP is then able to decrypt data with default_password. Before you unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, Back up your /data from TWRP and manually copy Internal Storage (/data/media/0) via USB-MTP (not included in TWRP Backup). Backup is not described in this Tutorial, but feel free to ask
- first you need adb and fastboot, in Windows represented as adb.exe and fastboot.exe which run in command line terminal (cmd.exe) - (for adb and fastboot Windows XP click here)
- install MediaTek MT65xx USB VCOM Preloader USB Drivers for Windows
- this phone is locked. to unlock the bootloader, enable usb-debugging:
Settings -> About Phone -> tap Build number seven (7) times
Settings -> Developer options -> OEM unlocking -> Turn on
Settings -> Developer options -> USB debugging -> Ok
WARNING: You do a factory reset! all data lost!
- connect the phone to pc and type in command console:
- confirm with Yes (Volume UP)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
Phone is now in Orange State - warranty lost!
(if you wanna get rid of the waiting time flash the 'Orange State disabler' see below)
- reboot the phone:
Code:
fastboot reboot
i have created a scatter file using this very cool program WwR MTK v2.30 from Ilya Aleksandrovich
then i have ported this TWRP v3.2.2-0 from S. M. Nahid Emon Generic TWRP v3.3.1-0 from Samad Segmane meanwhile
- on Phone, download SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip flashable zip
- on PC, download the scatter file and the twrp-3-3-1-0-recovery from this thread
flash recovery with MediaTek SP Flash Tool
- in SP Flash Tool, go to Download and select the following files:
Download-Agent: MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin
Scatter-loading File: MT6580_cubot_king_kong_7081c_scatter.txt
Flash Mode: Download Only
- uncheck all checkboxes
- double click on recovery.img and select twrp.img
- press Download
- type in command console:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
(flashing starts as soon as phone is connected in download mode)
- after successfully flashing, press and hold Volume UP, disconnect the phone, connect again, wait until you see the Orange State message appears, then release the Volume UP Button
- you can start TWRP each time from command console:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
edit: Fixed! unfortunately, when flashed and booted from recovery, touch screen is not working unless someone will fix the kernel (Patryk did with IDA Pro but this tutorial drives me crazy) - at moment you can only boot as boot.img
- boot into TWRP recovery from fastboot without flashing recovery (working touch screen)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot "C:\Download\twrp.img"
<-- see here
- from TWRP you can now install SuperSU.zip flashable zip
- if you want install Busybox binary, download Busybox-1.29.0-YDS-UNIVERSAL.zip from github and install this flashable zip from TWRP
- if you don't like SuperSU better use Magisk i have tested successfully too, it is easy to install, no TWRP required. MediaTek SP Flash Tool has a readback mode where you can make a backup of boot.img and copy to phone (or use the one attached). Then, all you have to do is install the Magisk Manager apk and patch the boot image, then flash the patched_boot.img and you are rooted
- this phone is encrypted by default - disable encryption may increase performance
WARNING: You do a factory reset! all data lost!
first install adb and fastboot, connect the phone and unlock the bootloader,
then follow instructions for disable encryption (do everything in TWRP):
- on Phone, download Disable Force Encrypt zip and SuperSU zip files
- boot into TWRP recovery from fastboot without flashing recovery (see above)
- copy Disable Force Encrypt zip to cache partition
Advanced -> File Manager
navigate to /data/media/0/Download
select file Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_v1.4.zip
press Copy File
navigate to /cache
confirm blue check mark on the right bottom
Swipe to Confirm
- repeat this copy SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip to /cache
go back to main menu
- Wipe -> Format Data -> type yes
if Format Data fails, reboot TWRP and try again:
go back to main menu
- Reboot -> Bootloader
- boot into TWRP recovery from fastboot without flashing recovery (see above)
- Wipe -> Format Data -> type yes
go back to main menu
- flash Disable Force Encrypt zip and SuperSU zip files
Install -> (Up A Level) -> /cache
select file Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_v1.4.zip
uncheck all checkboxes
Swipe to confirm Flash
go back
select file SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip
uncheck all checkboxes
Swipe to confirm Flash
Reboot System
- finish the initial android setup assistant
- enable usb-debugging (see above unlock bootloader)
- boot into TWRP recovery from fastboot without flashing recovery (see above)
- clear cache partition
Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Cache -> Swipe to Wipe
instead of SuperSU you can flash Magisk after Disable Force Encrypt. The SuperSU v2.79 is the latest release from Chainfire and it is Pro-Version. Do not update to V2.82 from Coding Code (it is the same version)
- new: 'Orange State' disabler
if you wanna get rid of the waiting time flash the 'Orange State disabler'
WARNING: experts only! do not try this if you don't know how to unbrick your device
- make a backup of lk.bin (bootloader)
- install orange_state_disabler_v0.3.zip from TWRP
- flash lk.bin from SP Flash Tool (in case you bricked your device)
--- 'Orange State' disabler v0.3 ---

What is the kernel architecture? (you can check that in CPU-Z) nevermind
Try this:
twrp-3.2.2.0-cubot_king_kong_7081c-20180831-2340.img (updated)
If it'll not work then this:
twrp-3.2.2.0-cubot_king_kong_7081c-20180831-2356.img
i have tested, both not booting. i think we should just give up. maybe this method does not working for MT6580. i have requested kernel source code from Cubot but they denied

Cubot King Kong has data mining spy app in OTA updater
https://www.xda-developers.com/report-android-phones-transmit-data-to-adups-a-chinese-firm
dont expect any firmware updates (they wont provide Oreo for sure) - better disable OTA updater instead:
Code:
pm disable --user 0 com.adups.fota
pm disable --user 0 com.adups.fota.sysoper
edit: do not update to V24 battery drain increases dramatically. Just stay at V16

the code in dialer did not work, but i could enter Service Mode with MTK Engineering Mode apk. unfortunately there is no device info in Others. is there another way to check, maybe dump some file?
Use an app from google play called Device Info HW
Hey,
thanks for your support and time! I have downloaded this app and this are the results. it shows Touchscreen gt1x (i2c 1-005d)
Will it boot up after just decompressing and compressing it again? Try: twrp-3.2.2.0-cubot_king_kong_7081c-20180902-2017.img (not patched).
Thanks a lot for providing a usable TWRP, even if only one you can boot from fastboot and not flash. It serves its purpose of installing SuperSU or Magisk, good enough for me.
I'm no Android kernel wizard but I fail to see how booting from a flashed partition or in-memory through fastboot makes a difference as far as the touch driver is concerned?
EDIT : wanted to provide the requested information but it's been done already.
In gt1x its because of this:
So get_boot_mode() returns a different value depending on how TWRP was started, from the recovery partition or in-memory from fastboot? and the touchscreen driver basically disables itself in the former case? I've learned something new today, thanks for enlightening us (and I'm impressed by your knowledge of this source code BTW).
EDIT: @aIecxs: unfortunately you're right. Dr. Web has spotted them as the infamous Downloader adware. Guess I'll have to take care of these once I have root.
And what about custom ROMs? Is it possible to build Lineage OS for this device?
I'm thinking of buying one, but if there won't be any OS updates it'll be much worse than I expected.

I unlocked the bootloader and tried booting the recovery using this method, but the TWRP logo shows up and the phone is stuck in a bootloop (TWRP logo shows up and disappears over and over again) .
I have tried flashing with SPFlash tool with no results. Every other recovery in this thread simply does not boot at all. What can I do to debug it? I have tried every possible method to root this phone with no success (neither TWRP nor "one click root" apps work). If anyone knows something, please help. I really want to root this phone in order to remove the malware that is preinstalled on it (adups fota). Note that I am not a developer and don't know much about these things beyond flashing custom ROMs. Thank you in advance
please do a read back for boot.img and recovery.img with SP Flash Tool

How To Guide [GUIDE][GSI] Installing LineageOS or GSI ROMs for A127F Binary U7

Hello, today I'll be guiding you to how to install LineageOS or other GSI ROMs on your A127F U7 device.
First, some precaution:
Rich (BB code):
/*
* knox_warranty_void: 0x01
*
* Your warranty is now void.
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or your getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Requirements:
Code:
* Unlocked bootloader
* Your device's firmware
* Android's platform tools.
* Magisk
* Odin
* U5, U6, U7 TWRP
* GSIs Image for the ROM you want to download
* physwizz's kernel
1) The first step you want to do is, unlock your bootloader. You can simply do that by enabling OEM Unlocking in Developer settings, (Can be unlocked by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Information > tapping "Build Number" 5 times then booting to download mode. (Connect to PC, shutdown your phone, then hold volume up and down buttons, then when you're on the download screen, hold volume up., then press volume up again) WARNING: THIS WILL ERASE YOUR DATA AND PERFORM A FACTORY RESET, SO BACKUP YOUR DATA WHEN NECESSARY.
2) Then, download the firmware you have for your firmware. How? Try visiting sites like samfw and find your firmware by searching A-127F and finding your country's baseband. Then download through your preferred method of downloading. Mine I login to Google, and downloaded through Google Drive, which is faster. (Though it will personally copy the firmware's file to you Google Drive and occupy space on it, so beware of that and delete the file afterwards, the file is in DRIVE > samfw_temporary_folder_dont_delete I assume it's safe to delete after download, so there's that.)
3) Extract the file, and adb push the AP_XXXXX file to your device. How? Download the Android platform tools to the above hyperlink, then extract it, go to the file and then type: e.g adb push [DIRECTORY WHERE YOU EXTRACTED YOUR FIRMWARE FILE]\AP_XXXXXX, [FILL IN THE FILE NAME] /sdcard/
4) Then boot up your device, set it up (minimally), download the magisk from below, (25.1-delta file) then install it. Then from the app, select Install Magisk > Patch from File then select the AP_XXXX file you've extracted from your firmware. Wait, for some minutes, and then see what is the file name.
5) Then pull the file and flash with Odin. (Download below) Use adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched-XXXX [See the magisk log for the file name] C:\Users\[your user]\Downloads\. Open Odin, select okay, when prompted, select AP, select the magisk_patched-XXXX file you've extracted from your phone, untick auto-reboot, then hit flash.
6) Go to stock recovery, again by pressing Volume Down +Power, then while connected to the PC, press Volume Up + Power then navigate via volume buttons and then press with power button, Wipe data/factory Reset
7) Turn off the phone (while connected to the PC) by pressing Volume Down + Power, then when turned off immediately press Volume Up + Volume Down. Go back to Odin, download the TWRP image below, and put it in AP slot and untick auto reboot. Then flash
8) Boot to recovery, by again Volume Down + Power, when turned off, Volume Up + Power, whilst connected to PC. ( See 6.) Now you've booted to TWRP Recovery. Go to Advance > Terminal then type multidisabler twice. (Very important)
9) Then download the GSI ROM you want to flash, extract it, then adb push it to your /sdcard/, just as you did with 3. (Here is a list of GSI's you can download) (Optional) Either use MTP or adb push to get into your device physwizz's kernel, and GApps (the guide will be in the second post, yet to find a way how to install it)
10) In the recovery, select Install > Install Image > select the GSI ROM's .img file you have, and select System Partition. (Optional) Then select Install Zip Then install physwizz's kernel.
11) Then, reboot, WAILA! There you have it, your own GSI ROM on your A127F U7 device. Enjoy
Credits: @physwizz, for his recovery and kernel ports. Without his hardwork, it wouldn't even be possible to install GSI for U7
How to install GApps.
Method 1 (tested and worked):
Download the A/B Google Apps VNDK Secure variant of Lineage. (In AndyYan's sourceforge page it would be bgS-vndk-secure):
extract the file as usual, and then rename the file as system.img.
Download the attachment below.
adb push both files to your /sdcard/ or any folder you prefer within /sdcard. (Though the files must be in the same directory) i.e. adb push system.img ChonDoe_Flasher.zip /sdcard
Go to TWRP > Install then select the ChonDoe_Flasher.zip,
and WAILA, you have now a working LineageOS with Gapps, it might work with other ROMs too!
Method 2, will post when I have tested it.

--- Theory for flashing twice (disproven, you only need to flash once, here for archive purposes, you don't need to read it if you're not interested):
Go to TWRP > Install then select the ChonDoe_Flasher.zip, TWICE. Do not reboot only doing it once, or else it might bootloop. After flashing once, go back and then do it again. (If you accidentally did it once, tell me if it worked and I'll post the results)
(EXPLAINED: This is a theory of mine, though, I didn't test doing it only once, I'll try to do it once if I ever go back to stock ROM and see if it only requires once, but as of now I tried doing it twice and it worked [the logic behind this is, if you install the .img alone, it will boot-loop due to lack of storage, but the flasher uses e2fsck and resize2fs so along the process, it expands the file system and thereby allowing more space for installation. I theorize doing this once will not work because the script first installs/flash the .img before using e2fsck and resize2fs and therefore still lacks the file system space that it needs to boot, but if you do it twice, you will have already executed the two binaries and thereby allow space for a proper installation of the .img, so it will now boot and not get stuck on an infinite bootloop.])
My phone keeps bootlooping, i followed the tutorial strp by step, can you help me?

Can you remember what firmware you had? Are you sure it's the right one for your device? Also, this is for A127F U7, make sure your device is compatible. Consequently, what GSI ROM have you flashed? This method only worked with LineageOS 19.1. bvS (by AndyYan). If the bootloop doesn't show the lineage logo, it may be that the GSI file is too big for the system partition, I have yet to found a way to expand our device's /system partition. Try AOSP 12.1 first, or download LineageOS 19.1 bvS from AndyYan's page, and see if it works.

That's what I'm currently struggling with, I can't find a GApps that work with any GSI since the /system partition is too small to even install GApps. There are critical and hard to follow tutorials out there that helps with increasing the /system parition but I have yet to try them since it, as I am informed, can hard brick your device. So I'm very cautious about that. @physwizz just recommends installing a ROM with GApps already installed in it (such as Pixel Experience) but I have yet to try that either.

Can you try magisk gapps?

Hello, today I'll be guiding you to how to install LineageOS or other GSI ROMs on your A127F U7 device.
First, some precaution:
Rich (BB code):
/*
* knox_warranty_void: 0x01
*/
Requirements:
Code:
* Unlocked bootloader
* Your device's firmware
* Android's platform tools.
* Magisk
* Odin
* U5, U6, U7 TWRP
* GSIs Image for the ROM you want to download
* physwizz's kernel
1) The first step you want to do is, unlock your bootloader. You can simply do that by enabling
Code:
OEM Unlocking
in Developer settings, (Can be unlocked by going to
Code:
Settings > About Phone > Software Information > tapping "Build Number" 5 times[\CODE] then booting to download mode.
How? Try visiting sites like samfw and find your firmware by searching [CODE]A-127F
and finding your country's baseband. Then download through your preferred method of downloading. Mine I login to Google, and downloaded through Google Drive, which is faster. (Though it will personally copy the firmware's file to you Google Drive and occupy space on it, so beware of that and delete the file afterwards, the file is in
Code:
DRIVE > samfw_temporary_folder_dont_delete
I assume it's safe to delete after download, so there's that.)
3) Extract the file, and
Code:
adb push
the
Code:
AP_XXXXX
file to your device. How? Download the Android platform tools to the above hyperlink, then extract it, go to the file and then type: e.g
Code:
adb push [DIRECTORY WHERE YOU EXTRACTED YOUR FIRMWARE FILE]\AP_XXXXXX, [FILL IN THE FILE NAME] /sdcard/
4) Then boot up your device, set it up (minimally), download the magisk from below, (25.1-delta file) then install it. Then from the app, select
Code:
Install Magisk > Patch from File
then select the AP_XXXX file you've extracted from your firmware. Wait, for some minutes, and then see what is the file name.
5) Then pull the file and flash with Odin. (Download below) Use
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched-XXXX [See the magisk log for the file name] C:\Users\[your user]\Downloads\
. Open Odin, select okay, when prompted, select AP, select the magisk_patched-XXXX file you've extracted from your phone, untick auto-reboot, then hit flash.
6) Go to stock recovery, again by pressing Volume Down +Power, then while connected to the PC, press Volume Up + Power then navigate via volume buttons and then press with power button,
Code:
Wipe data/factory Reset
7) Turn off the phone (while connected to the PC) by pressing Volume Down + Power, then when turned off immediately press Volume Up + Volume Down. Go back to Odin, download the TWRP image below, and put it in AP slot and untick auto reboot. Then flash
8) Boot to recovery, by again Volume Down + Power, when turned off, Volume Up + Power, whilst connected to PC. ( See 6.) Now you've booted to TWRP Recovery. Go to
Code:
Advance > Terminal
then type
Code:
multidisabler
twice. (Very important)
9) Then download the GSI ROM you want to flash. Here is a list, then
Code:
adb push
then to your /sdcard/, just as you did with 3. (Optional) Either use MTP or
Code:
adb push
to get into your device physwizz's kernel, and GApps (the guide will be in the second post, yet to find a way how to install it)
10) In the recovery, select
Code:
Install > Install Image > select the GSI ROM's .img file you have, and select System Partition.
(Optional) Then select
Code:
Install Zip
Then install physwizz's kernel.
11) Then, reboot, WAILA! There you have it, your own GSI ROM on your A127F U7 device. Enjoy
Credits: @physwizz, for his recovery and kernel ports. Without his hardwork, it wouldn't even be possible to install GSI for U7

It performs well, I haven't done any benchmark to see if it performs better than OneUI, but they are pretty different. Although, it performs pretty well in my opinion, and it boots very quickly (as in, the animation only has to run once and it boots already). Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots, as I reverted back to stock since I need my Google account and Play Store, but you can try and search for "Lineage OS 19. X Screenshots" on Google and I doubt it will give you any different results.

So i tried for the second time, with Lineage BgS (not BvS since i need gapps) but its bootlooping again, can you help me?
I can't, I tried that too but I haven't found a way to workaround this, sorry to disappoint. I'm guessing that the image is too big for the system that it won't boot. I only find the BvS to be working, and have not yet tried others, except for BgS, which gave me a bootloop too...
it will work for A127F/DSN?

Yes, but only for LineageOS vanilla, there's yet to find a way to install GApps. If you can live without GApps you can install this then. https://sourceforge.net/projects/an...20221011-UNOFFICIAL-arm64_bvS.img.xz/download
and if i have one ui 4.1 and u7 brinary i still can install it, and in the downloads it says twrp-a127f-u5 brinary?

yes, the U5 binary TWRP is compatible with U6 and U7
@MaybeFazat I updated the second post. You may now enjoy LineageOS with Gapps. Please tell me what has happened after you install. Feedback will be appreciated.

[GUIDE][CPH1920] Guide To Unlock Bootloader And Root Oppo AX5S

After a lot of time and research I'm finally making a guide making it possible to root Oppo AX5S.(This tutorial is for linux, if your on windows instead of chmodding mtk_gui and running ./mtk_gui just do ./mtk_gui.bat) To Unlock Bootloader:1. First enable OEM unlocking in developer options then, install MTKclient (MTK Chipset exploitation tool) from github to your PC
2. Make sure to have pip and python installed, follow the instructions to install it on their github page.
3. cd into the mtkclient folder then do chmod 777 mtk_gui.
4. do ./mtk_gui and you should be in the MTK gui.
5. Have your Oppo AX5S turned off with cord plugged in then hold both vol up + vol down buttons pressed and it should get detected; if it doesnt get detected press in power button aswell, if that doesnt work check your cable actually works and it isnt a cable that will only charge.
6. Head to the "Flash Tools" tab and press Unlock Bootloader, congrats your bootloader should now be unlocked.
How to install root/magisk.Assuming you already unlocked your bootloader and installed MTK client I will start from here.
1. cd into the mtkclient directory then do ./mtk_gui.
2. Have your Oppo AX5S turned off then hold vol up + vol down and if that doesnt work do it while also holding power button, now your phone should be detected and all the tabs come up.
3. Now go to "Read partition(s) then find "boot" then click the tick box, press "Read Partition(s) button (not the tab, the button) then it will ask u where u want to put the file I normally use Documents then you should see boot.bin wherever you set the directory to.
4. To get out of BROM mode and reboot your phone into system unplug the cable then hold power button; you may get a dm-verity error, that's fine just wait for 30 secs for it to go away or hold volume down till it goes away.
5. Install latest Magisk APK onto your phone from https://magisk.me/ then either using adb push the boot.bin file to your Oppo or using MTP.
6. Open Magisk then press the Magisk Install button and click tick on all the checkboxes so they're ticked then press next. For method press "Select and patch a File" then press "LET'S GO". Now you will find your boot.bin file you earlier put on your phone then select it. Now press "LET's GO" again then it will patch your boot.img file. Now push or MTP the your patched .img file (magisk-25200-XXXXX.img) to your PC then into the mtkclient directory then turn off your phone once more.
7. If you still have MTKClient open close it, then cd back into the MTKClient folder then do this command: python mtk w boot magisk-25200-XXXXX.img (replacing the "XXXXX" with the text that is on your .img file)
8. It should now flash the magisk boot image to your Oppo AX5S, If you got a bunch of errors or it failed or something u will just do the same what u just done but with the original boot.bin file.
If succeeded you should now have a rooted phone, unplug your phone from PC and boot the system back up then go to the magisk app then it should say that magisk is installed, if installed congratulations! Your phone is now rooted.
Your warranty is now void. I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications.

Yes.
@lunatic71 I see, then that means there's nothing we can do about to remove it right? since fastboot is disabled in our device. Anyway, as long as device is running okay then I'll just leave it be. Thanks for the response bro.
