Stadia on S8+? - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Cannot find any reliable news on this; is any fact known about whether Stadia will support our s8(+)?

I don't think there's an official supported device list yet outside of Pixels.
But you can run Stadia using Chrome in desktop mode or via the Stadia app if you change "ro.product.model" to Pixel 4 and "ro.product.manufacturer" to Google

Sixaxis Controller

Hi,
I installed the Sixaxis controller apps so I can game with my sixaxis dualshock controller, but if I start a game it doesn't work..
I can move with the controller trough the screens but not with games (Nova 3, Age of zombies).
Does somebody now how it will work, or will it never work?
Thanks in advance
(My Nexus S is on AOKP B39, Matr1x kernel)
Any ideas?

[Q] Steam game you would like to come to Shield

what steam games would you like Nvidia to add streaming support for? for me it would be:
Alan Wake, Grid 2, Farming simulator 2013 and some other controller enabled games such as the red faction games and maybe ridge racer unbounded.
Above all i hope nvidia adds a feature so we can test streaming for different games ourself and essentially play whatever we want. this could include games that aren't on steam as long as Geforce Experience can find them.

I can't speak for certainty, but so far, I've never seen it block Steam games. They don't show up independently in the list of games, but "Steam" as a game itself can launch and install any of your steam games, even those that don't support controller at all (and therefore are pretty much worthless over SHIELD)...
I thought Nvidia had to basically enable games to be streamable onto shield? if you check out info about it it says like "originally these 5 games will be streamable with more to come" and whatnot :S

I wish I could give a more definitive answer, but I'm only on the Android side of things. And all the versions and builds I've tested support "Steam" as a game (in Big Picture mode).
I'll ping product management and see if I can get an "official" answer to post here.
I know it's not totally practical, but I used to play WoW with an xbox 360 controller with joy2key software. (never did the large party raids and whatnot just simple questing etc) I wonder how simple or complex it would be to get games not running through steam to stream to the shield. Obviously the loss of keyboard is a major downfall, but with ingame macros and a teamspeak client I can see the number of inputs the shield has could be workable.
There's other games like maplestory that has joystick support, more information about how to get non-steam games working even if a script/hack is required would be appreciated. It's my personal determining factor on it being worth doing a pc upgrade to support the shield's streaming feature.

yeah mmo support would be awesome. even if you had to have maybe a mini bluetooth keyboard with you? or just play without talking? or use android's mumble app and forget typing XD
Official Shield FAQ states that non-Steam games can be streamed too. They just need to be listed in the Geforce Experience application. So I would expect that all games will run, it's only about optimization.

i don't see that info could you link it please?

It seems only Beta of the streaming app is limited to Steam. Also take a look at some videos in YouTube, they are showing NFS as non-Steam game on Shield.

ohhh ok i see. i forgot that they had shown NFS. but Geforce Experience still has to find the game for it to be playable. Sadly as of right now GFE only seems to find about 1 in 5 games for me. thanks for the info tho!!!
Non-steam game: Mechwarrior Online. The game is setup perfect for dual joysticks and 1-4 weapon groups.

You have failed to understand how this works. Hawken does not run on android, you run hawken on your desktop PC with a GTX650 GPU or above and the shield then streams it.

I've never played it... Sounds like I may have to give it a try. And according to Steam, it should work fine. (Any game that's listed as "Full Controller Support" and plays in full-screen should play perfectly, but no promises)

Tincore on the note pro 12.2

I am trying to use Tincore on my note pro so i can play MC4 and other games on the tablet with my BT mouse and keyboard.
The app is brilliant only thing is that on my note pro as well as on my samsung mega it doesn't seem to work due to a multitouch problem. If i'm using the keyboard to walk and i hit another button or key for example the mouse to aim walking stops.
I emailed the developer of the app but no response so far.
Maybe anybody else with a notepro is using this app i am curious if they run into the same problem.

Daydream controller

Does anyone know if you can use the Daydream controller with the Gear VR headset? I would prefer to use my Gear VR headset if possible.
Nope. But if you have an old phone there is a daydream controller emulator. Just google it.

Can I force the gaming mode?

Currently playing a game that is not recognized by my phone as such, hence I cannot record videos of it. Is there any way to force the recording settings to appear?

add the app manually from game launcher, long press it in game launcher, and select list at game.
? i leave mine in game mode 24/7 you can do so by using the quicktile performance tile and select game mode...
