i have a Samsung Epix (i907). all i need to know is, if it's possible to change the band in this phone, or any phone for that matter? this phone lists tri band (850/1900/2100) and quad band (850/900/1800/1900). i know that this phone as-is, isnt usable on t-mobiles US network, as tmobile's 3G uses 1700mhz uplink and 2100mhz downlink. so its missing the vital 1700mhz feature. so can i download a radio for this phone? or would i have to actually physically change hardware out of the phone? and if i were to physically change hardware out of the phone what would be compatable so that it would be usable on tmobiles 3G network? any info will be greatly appreciated thanks!!

Hi,
I am planning to use a Galaxy S 4G in India. Can anyone tell me whether or not it will work here?
I know it for a fact that it has quad band support for 2G, so that definitely works, but for 3G it only supports 1700/2100.
I am not sure whether this is the same band which is required for phones to work in India under a 3G network.
Please help.
Thanks,
Rakshith
Hi, just got a device in Europe and found out it is 4G.
Read something about not being able to use it in the US.
What does that mean, that the phone won't work at all, or that it has to do with mobile internet connection or a wifi connection?
If this is a problem, is it possible to fix this with a new rom?

The phone should work in the US but not on 4G LTE due to the different operator frequencies.
In the UK we use 800, 1800, 2600, 3500 and 3700MHz where as in the US they use 700, 850, 1700, 1900 & 2500MHz.
So it should work on the 3G/HSPDA bands but not LTE unless it uses some kind of global LTE chip.
hello I have a j710fn bought in bangkok and I want to enable the 4g band 4 (this is the band that my cell companie uses in argentina) it seems to be not supported by this device...
my question is if it is posssible or it is a hardware limitation? and if it is possible and it is a guide please share it!
im already rooted
thanks for all!
