Since getting this phone i have flashed more then 30 ROMs. One hardware button on the bottom of the screen doesn't work anymore, and I still have warranty, so I taking my phone back to my provider.
I know I have to flash official software on it, and I heard that it will automatically unroot it, but how to set flash counter to 0 ?
Thx ahead guys!

That's because he's another Galaxy S3 user, not the Galaxy 3 user and POSTING IN WRONG FORUM.
[TROLLING]
If he would rather bought the little Galaxy 3 (without the "S"), he would not have any flashcounter and he won't have to bother with that. LOL

I am not galaxy s3 user, I am galaxy 3 i5800 user, I am not retarded i can read .
Since i flashed million roms, I thought that guys from samsung servis could see it. Okay so I flashed official software, the phone is now unrooted, I guess I am good to go.
Hi,
all of a sudden the microphone and speakerphone stopped working during calls. I can't hear and nobody can't hear me.
The phone is not rooted. I already tried to update the software with odin, but that didn't help.
I didn't try the baseband reinstall yet through odin, but would that work?
The funny thing is, i have a sip client installed. When I call over wifi or 3g through the sip client everything works ??!!
I hope you guys have some ideas before i send it for repair. The phone is 2 months old and didn't fall or anything like that.
thnx
Try re flashing using full stock rom with pit.

Hi bungadudu,
why? because i'm a noob or because you think it won't help.
these actions won't void warranty right? it won't increase the binary counter
There are experimented users who messed with their rom and now lost their warranty and /or got into another problems.
For you I'd say it doesn't worth the risk.
That's what services are for.
We here have 1 hour guaranteed repair (they usually just replace the whole screen ansamble or the motherboard), guess it's the same worldwide.
You have nothing to loose and it will spare you from many headaches.
only rooted or have you flashed any other rom ?
If you using any custom rom, check for updates.
to rerstore the stock rom, maybe this will help you XXXX://briolidz.wordpress.com/2013/08/12/samsung-galaxy-s4-i9505-unroot-and-restore-to-stock-rom/
Please check Model version !
I already posted this in the help section this morning and havent got any input on it yet. I need to return this phone asap, Verizon sent me a text this morning saying they have charged my account for un returned equipment.
I unrooted my old device that I am sending back to Verizon. I un-rooted it through super user. But when I restart the device its still showing the unlocked icon and the word custom below the samsung startup. What did I do wrong? It should have been cut and dry. Click un-root and you are done. I dont get it. I appreciate the help !

OK, what version are you running? 4.3 or 4.1? If you don't know boot into download mode and post what it says in the top left corner.
Additionally, next time you have a question that goes unanswered try to bump that thread. Sometimes it gets pushed down the list and it's hard to find, but it's perfectly fine bumping something once in a 24 hour period if you feel it hasn't been seen by someone who can help. It's better than starting a 2nd thread with the same question. Just for your information.

I understand, but im pretty desperate.
Im running 4.3
Download page says the following
Product name: SCH-I535
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Qualcom Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 0
Bootloader AP Swrev: 1
Is there a way I can just flash the stock firmware with odin? I cant find the files anywhere. All the web sites send me back to the samsung page that lists all the updates. And all the links are dead. I dont care what version I send the phone back to verizon with. Just as long as it gets back un rooted and they dont know its ever been rooted.
Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

This is bad information, his flash counter is not even causing this issue. It's 0.... Read up on what triangle away does before you suggest it. It can be a dangerous application.

I think it worked
The custom lock is gone on start up.
And when I go to more about phone and go to device status, it says official instead of custom.

Yup, everything is fully stock now, before you had custom elements due to using saferoot. You're good now, and there's no evidence you ever rooted the device.

Hello all,
I read a lot of stuff here about root but I couldn't find an exact answer to what I look for.
I would like to know if rooting:
1. Loses the fingerprint?
2. If xposed Amplify really helps improving the standby drain or other xposed app. (at the moment I am sitting at between 0.8%-1.1% / hour overnight and I find it unacceptable)
3. Main disadvantage if rooted (besides loosing warranty because I don't care)
thank you.

1. No you will not lose the fingerprint sensor, even custom kernels have now fingerprint support.
2. Yes it does, I'm using it and I couldn't be any more happier.
3. The main disadvantage is that when an update arrives, then the only way to update is via smart switch ( a pc application) and you will have to re-root after that, though I don't consider it as a problem.
A big thanks to you kid xda user.
Cheers

I thought after knox is tripped there's no way to get an ota update, does smart switch wipe the phone and install a new firmware or just update without wiping?

It basically installs a new firmware, but I think it doesn't wipe your apps or pictures, but root will be gone and besides the Knox flag, your phone will return to official status.

Cf autoroot with Knox tripped
The international version of the S7, the Exynos-based SM-G930F, can be rooted e.g. using the CF auto root kernel.
I'm not aware your SM-G930T (T-Mobile USA) already can.

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss
Apparently I do not see that update on my phone as of now

The update is for T-Mobile users using the T firmware. You are on the US Unlocked firmware.
I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?
