[Q] Does Autokiller memory optimizer app effective on SGR ?

Hi folks,
I recently ran into severe battery draining issue when i was playing one of the games and left it on (without exiting) and battery went from 78 to 25% in 3 hours.
I was just wondering if Autokiller Memory Optimizer app comes to the rescue for auto closing open inactive running apps and improve the available free memory.
If any of you have been using this app lately, share your feedback on its performance on SGR.

yeah....u can use it!! n it is effective in some extent but the default task killer is better....also u can try deleting unwanted apps from titanium backup if u r rooted.....it'll solve ur battery drainage upto some extent...
Actually this app tweaks the minfree values from android system. I was curious to know its performance on our 1 gb ram (actually 720 MB available to user)...!

Auto memory manager

People check this out...this app increased my cm10 performance considerably...

Tip-try out the aggressive option..fire some reason is not compatible with apex launcher.

Great... can feel the difference.
I've got trebuchet frozen so apex works perfectly.
This feature is also included in ROM Toolbox. (Don't know if its also available in the free version)
Regarding the feature itself. This configures the out of memory manager/killer. If you set your settings high you will face a reduced multitasking capability, because apps are being closed pretty fast. Also this causes an increased battery drain, like manual task killers, because memory gets "cleaned" more often which causes apps completly reloading. This of course needs more energy then simply bringing an app into foreground.
Not that I want to say anything against the potential performance gain (when memory is free it doesn't need to be cleaned before loading an app), but it's just a note on that task killing stuff for people that did not know that.

Check for background apps and launchers taking up too much RAM, use Nova instead of the stock one if it's running a copy of TouchWiz as that may take up a lot.
Free ram is waste ram. The point is your device should not lag. That only happens when you totally run out of ram. I would suggest you to use greenify for hibernating useless apps. It will save both your battery and ram.
Huh...
I think you should uninstall some wasting apps.
Here is photo of installed apps...

And I always stop some apps in app manager..
And sometimes is lag felt...usually when I return to Home screen...

I've used Nova Prime, on my last 2 phones.
Mate2, and now the Mate8...never had an issue.
I've tested many launchers (Apex, Nova, Buzz, LL, ...) without any problem but my daily driver is Lightning Launcher with some scripts. Also running a very heavy KLWP wallpaper with no issues.
I switch between smart launcher, action launcher, mi launcher and nova premium alongwith huawei launcher. No issues in any of them.

I have notification count from any app I want using Tasker (root) + KLWP (or any widget maker app), and works with most launchers (if not all). And they can be from very specific data, not just like regular notifications. For example, I can get a counter for my Inbox gmail, another for my Starred label and another one for my Social label (or any other). Very useful if you have some filters in your gmail account.
For now i use Nova Prime Launcher and is good but i dont know what eat my memory i cant reach 2gb free of full 3gb of ram when i clean ram and all apps in background i get 1,7gb free ram
Is there any light weight launcher which not eat ram
Or any tweak or tips

Free RAM = wasted RAM :good:

Android pie made multi tasking worse ?

After updated to pie, it seems if i try run 2 apps and switch between them it will quickly kill the other while i use the other? before i didnt have this problem it seems to be more agressive now kill apps in the background.. can i do anything about it or not ? I mean if i look how much ram is available its like 900mb, that should be plenty enough to run 2 apps in background no ?
I don't have this. Maybe some setting on your phone or battery saver?
I also have the feeling Pie keeps more reserved or free RAM than Oreo... I constantly have like 1Gb free or more...
Free RAM has no meaning. Multitasking is good and more fluid now on 9.
