I am trying to install an update.zip on to my Droid 1, which is rooted, but I am getting the following output:
Code:
-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation abored.
What is this verification process? Do I need to do this using a custom recovery mode of some sort? I think I am still using the android system recovery system.
I am not pro but I think its not possible to install on original recovery as its not signed by android.
You need to install custom recovery available and disable signature verification.

Hello,
I found a the zip to install dm_verity_forceencrypt under " xda-developers Android Development and Hacking Android Software Development Universal DM-Verity, ForceEncrypt, Disk Quota Disablers [12/27/2019] by Zackptg5 " (Sorry i'm unable to provide the link directly for being new to xda )
I boot into recovery mode and when i try to flash it i get an error " invalid zip format ". I tried another zip file/version it installed but after rebooting, it can't boot into android it keeps loading without end. At this point i had to format data.
Do you know which zip to install dm verity forceencrypt would work on the Oneplus 7 Pro ?
Kind regards,
Have you ever encountered the problem saying apk failed to install because of signature or certification issues?
I finally found a workaround for this, here what I've done:
Prerequisites:
Root
LuckyPatcher
Instructions:
1. Disable Google play protection
2. Reboot
3. Open luckyPatcher and click on toolbox
4. Find Patch for Android and click on it
5. Choose Disable signature verification and hit apply
6. Wait for the luckyPatcher to finish patching progress
7. Reboot
Now you have passed the verification and signature checking
that did not fix the problem still having exact same message
