greetings
i've got an issue recently after upgrading to android 10
sometimes when i plug in my oneplus 7 pro device to charge, the display stays on and doesnt turn off automaticly
i have to turn off the display manually with double tap or pressing the power botton.
now the issue isnt always happening, only sometimes ...
the stay on option is disabled from developers settings
the screen saver option is disabled ..
i had no issue when using android p , and i didnt install any new app after upgrading to android 10
any one facing the same issue? and any fix?
thnx
update on the issue:
the issue occurs when the device heats up while playing games, then placing it on charge, first it will charge at 7.5 watt (slow charge) due to over heating of the device (i guess some safety messures to disable the warp charge when device tempreture is high), after few minutes the device heat goes down due to inactivity and warp charge starts kicking , the warp charge logo shows and after that the screen stays on
this goes to developers hope they find a fix for it

So I'm using Stock Android 5.0.1 Nexus 5.
The problem is my lockscreen never turns itself off.
So the phone goes to sleep from any normal screen after 1 min (as per settings).
This turns the display off and everything is fine.
But if I manually get the lockscreen up by pressing the power button or by plugging in a charger the lockscreen will stay on forever. I think its supposed to turn off after 10 - 15 sec or so but it doesnt do that anymore.
So every time I plug in a charger I have to make sure I turn the display off again.
I'm not sure when it started. I have dev options enabled on the phone but I never found any setting to fix this anywhere.
Edit: Reboot fixed it for now but I'm pretty sure its recurring. Well with luck its not.
Reboot
My LG G Flex 2 H950 was working fine, running google maps and playing music, plugged in to the car charger. Within minutes of leaving the car the phone was dead - I could not power it on. I can usually get it to show the LG logo by trying to start in Recovery Mode (holding the power and volume-down buttons for several seconds) but then the logo just disappears after a few seconds and the phone does not power on. But sometimes when I try this the red LED blinks on the phone screen and the logo may or may not appear. Sometimes (50%) when I plug the phone in to my Windows 10 desktop, the computer plays a tone to indicate a new device has been connected, but no icon appears in the list of hard drives or devices.
I think the battery is charging normally - when I connect the phone to a USB volt meter it usually (but not always) shows a normal amount of amperage flowing, and just now when I tried to start the phone it showed the battery charge icon on the phone screen (it doesn't usually do this) and showed 100% charge.
Is there anything else I can try, even if just to get the phone running long enough to backup my text messages etc?
Is there any way to test what's actually wrong? I'd hate to spend money on a new battery or charging port etc for a slim chance to temporarily fix a phone that seems like it's dying.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions...
Hey, i've got the same problem since today. i was watching youtube videos when the phone suddenly stopped working. did you already find the problem?
Sorry for my bad englisch ( Dutch)
No - not solved, phone still dead. Still would love to hear any advice...
I used to have the exact same problem as you - bootloops at the LG logo, no recovery etc. After some reading it seemed that the battery was the root of the problem, and after replacing the battery my phone was back to life - no issues ever since. I recommend you check if the battery is the issue by connecting it to a normal charger (i.e. not charging from a PC) and powering it on, by holding the power button at the battery charging screen. If it powers on normally then it's most likely a battery issue, which can be easily fixed. Cheers!
Hey there,
I had this problem in the last year and can't remember how I solved it. I searched the forum but found no solution (but others with the same problem).
After flashing the LineageOS 14.1 Rom for the P905 it freezes every time I plug in the power cord when the device is powered off.
When I shut down the device while it's charging it comes back on after some seconds and freezes at the loading screen.
The screen is the first screen you see after a normal power on (Kernel is not seandroid enforcing / set warranty bit) with a battery symbol in the middle of the screen.
Any ideas how to fix that? The last time it happened was after flashing the Android 6 rom from Valera.
Thanks!
Hello
i just calibrated the battery with "advanced battery calibrator" app. in the begning of the process it noticed that do not turn on phone unless the fully charged. i turned off the phone but it automatically turned on; i calibrated with that software again and turned it off, but it automatically turned on again. i turned it off and; after fully charged i wanted to turn on the phone: but the phone so quickly turn on & off. the LG logo just blinking. when i attach the charger it turn on and i can use the phone and it show correct percent of battery. but when i remove the charger cable, it turn off after 10 second. i upgrade its rom but still the problem exists.

My guess would be your battery is bad. I've had my device since launch and have gone through 4 batteries. Each time at failure the symptoms were the same. Battery drains fast, device shuts down with random amount of battery percentage remaining then bootloops and eventually only functions when a charger is plugged in. I'm guessing you were having battery issues intially and that's why you decided to use a calibrator? The calibration process may have been the last straw and your battery is shot.
Hello I am having trouble with my Oneplus One. It won't turn on. Here are the details:
After 4 years of using, my battery could not support my phone. If I was using my battery's power, the phone would constantly reboot. So I plugged it into a power bank 24/7 in order to use the phone. It worked fine. Then, one day it would constantly reboot after the "cyanogen mod ready" screen.
Now, if I try to turn it on without it plugged in, it shows the oneplus logo and "poewred by android" screen, and reboots every 3 seconds with a vibrate. If I turn it on while plugged in, it passes the oneplus logo screen, and shows the cyanogen mod ready screen for ~10 seconds before powering off to show the battery charge percentage screen (at 100%).
I'm not sure how to fix this, but a possible solution is that I may need to replace the battery. I want to know if replacing the battery will wipe the data? I am trying to recover my photos and get my account from the LINE app. So I must be able to use the phone after. Where can I buy a working battery to replace it?
If the battery is not the issue, is there a solution to this?
Thanks so much
