this forum is for OnePlus ONE. I don't think that your question is on this phone.

[ROOT] Substratum on Android Pie Beta (Oxygen)

Any one tried substratum theme on Android pie open beta with success? If yes than explain how?
Edit: Works well now. Forget to uninstall Andromeda.
1.)Install substratum (uninstall Andromeda)
2.)Select theme (theming systemui and Android system should avoid it may cause crashes)
3.)Build & Enable
4.)Reboot
4.)Overlay manager
5.)Enable.
Enjoy Black Theme. (Or white or dark)
(Tested with Swift Black)

AOSPui is working pretty good for me. Only quick settings isn't theming for me.
Open substratum
Install overlays
Reboot
Open substratum
Go to substratum manager
Enable overlays
Done.

I also have this problem, seems like it installs fine but after reboot nothing is there anymore. Swift Dark is what I'm trying to use right now

Happened to me on 5.1.11. All you have to do is go to the accent color. Switch it to something different then switch it back. IDK if it'll work for PIE but I would try that. Just flashed over to Pie and I'm just now getting up everything so I'm going to try myself.

Same here. Able to see overlay installed but nothing in overlay manager.
Edit : old post . OP edited.
What did you pick in substratum for android version? Oxygen OS android 8? Or "others?"
It's still not working for me unfortunately, did an accent color change and I've actually never had Andromeda installed at all. Coming from stable Oreo build...
Thought Substratum was blocked in Pie...
Subs is working fine for me with pitch black. Followed the same procedure as in the OP.

I tried with others and without theming systemui and Android system. And theme not working on some system apps. May because of material 2 ui (new oxygen apps).

Rootless with Andromeda not supported.
Just flash magisk and acquire root and you are good to go.

I am on Pie Open Beta 1, did the above steps but after reboot, nothing appears in the manager. I am using AOSPui too. How did you get it to work?
+1
Using Swift Black.
Nothing shows in manager before and after reboot.

You don't need all this steps! I'm on Open beta 1 Pie, installed latest substratum beta from telegram channel and belo, mono/art are working great. Off course i'm rooted, you need only to build & compile theme, then reboot then apply it :good:
Without Root you can't use Substratum on Pie right, please change the topic of this thread its misleading!

Exactly my point was, these all steps are involved only if your OP6 is rooted, he should've written Root in the title!

U have modules installed in magisk? Try disabling ALL of them first, then proceed to install substratum theme :good:

I knew this steps, they're old for the first version of pie with old substratum... I've tested the way i write up, for me it's working without doing all that passages

On oxygen os yes, in hydrogen beta 3 we still need these steps. Cuz i tried to download latest beta from telegram beta chat, but after installing overlays it not apear in overlay manager, after reboot aswell, just nothing is there.
I found hydrogen os more stable in this beta race so for a while im sticking with it. But it is so annoying to disable everything, reboot, then overlays and all that **** steps

New to OnePlus 6

Hi, im new to A/B partitions and PIE. I was Using OnePlus 3T before this. I have few questions.
1. Can i restore Titanium backup apps+data from Oreo to PIE?
2. Can i use magisk modules from Oreo?
3. Which modules are you guys using?
I wouldn't restore app data from Oreo to Pie. Personally I'm just running stock rooted, nothing more nothing less
1. Yes, titanium backups can be restored without any problem
2. Depends on the module. Check the module if it's compatible/updated for Pie.
3. Google Framework so i can use Google Dialer/Phone app. I'm also using Viper4Android module

OOS 10 potential bug regarding system audio

This evening, I tried flashing a Magisk module that replaces the stock keyboard sounds. In OOS 9, this worked. For some reason, it doesn't in OOS 10. I have the latest stable build of Magisk and after successfully flashing that same module (I didn't get any errors during the install), it no longer does anything. I can see the files are in /system/media/audio/ui. However, Gboard doesn't recognize those files; Neither does other keyboard apps like SimpleKeyboard.
It's not a huge deal for me right now, but I'm curious to know if this is an issue with other OOS 10 users (specifically, OP 6 users).

Signature spoofing on Android 12 stock rom

Hi,
I tried couple of times and did not succseed. It's working on Android 11, but on 12 (samsung note 10+) it boots once, i see that there is spoofing, but next is bootloop + it does not work.
Any tips on what's the case with A12?
LSposed and mockmock was advised by people. so i would give that a try in combination with android 12.
Mockmock can be obtained from inside the LSposed app
edit: do put BOTH the app you want your fake location and the app (GPS joystick for axample) in the mockmock location app. just tested this on a Oneplus NordCE 5G with Oxy 12.1
its a shame what oneplus did but at least the phones with Android 11 OOTB have easy rooting potential

Question Colors os from oos 11

How to install colors os 12.1 from oos 11 rooted?

Before reboot, run Magisk 24.3 and tell it to install to inactive slot. This should work because I was able to get Magisk working on C.62 by manually patching since I didn't have root at the time.
Beware if you have a single SIM device, it's going to think it has 2 SIMs, so you won't have mobile data until you flash this fix.
[TMO] OOS/COS DATA FIX
TO CLARIFY THIS IS A ROOT ONLY FIX After gaining root install given module. Data is now retained. Even after reboot(s). No empty slot or waiting. Issue is TMO variant is showing multi sim. So props were added to make it like a conversion to...

Also go make yourself an Oppo Cloud account and when it asks for HeyTap info, sign in with the username and password you create, otherwise trying to sideload some apps and some other system functions will be totally locked out.

I got frustrated and went back to OOS because COS is even more aggressive about killing background apps so I was missing a lot of notifications. The AOD wasn't even waking up for them and by default it was disabling notifications on any new app I installed so I had to manually go turn them all back on.
Thank you!
How about gaming experience ? I mostly play apex mobile. Is it any better than oos 11?

It seemed smoother than OOS12 to me but I don't like 11 and switched to 12 very quickly (I got my 9 in February) so I don't have a clear idea of that performance difference.
