Can someone send me a copy of the default build prop for the latest stable?
Or
If i flash the rom again, will I get the original build.prop?
Thanks!

I'm using stock, rooted rogers rom and any edits with root explorer or root browser I make refuse to stick after a reboot.
Anyone facing this issue? How can it be resolved short of flashing a custom rom (I prefer stock)
Id suggest downloading a custom rom like. The stock rooted 2.3.6 one. Open it on your pc do your build prop edits then recompress it copy it to your phone and flash it

I have been trying to edit my build.prop for a day now. it wont even save my changes and im using a custom rom. So how exactly does flashing the zip file work? do i just compress the build.prop to a zip file and then when i flash it in CWM it goes staight to the /system/ folder? or do i have to do something else? any help would be nice.
I am trying to change it to read that its a HTC desire so i can run some Gameloft games that our phone supports but Gameloft leaves our model number out of their supported list.
Thanks for you help.
Download a rom to your computer open the rom on. Your computer swap the build prop. Rezip the rom. Then put it on your phone and flash it

Don't think extract/zip will work, I believe default.prop is inside boot.img of the ROM which needs to be extracted and repackaged.
I have changed the build prop my self the way i told you and yes it did work
Hi. I want to edit build.prop to get access to Samsung apps for my gear 2 neo. I edit build prop with an editor and apply but after restart the changes have reverted.
I'm on rooted stock with busybox installed via recovery (missing applets). Will I be able to edit build prop on a stick rom at all or do I need a custom?
Hey guys,
So, I was trying to change my DPI on my OnePlus Two on the new Oxygen OS 3.0, and long story short, I deleted my build.prop.
Can someone share the stock build.prop here? Or is there any other way to regenerate the file without messing up my data and apps?
Thanks.

Can someone please upload the stock build.prop file .
I'm not sure which version i need, whether 10A or 10D.
I have NEVER updated my phone (i got it in like april/may) and i am rooted.
In setting > Software version shows: Unknown
(Part of the reason i need a stock build.prop)
Edit: i found the 10D build prop here for anyone looking:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/stock-h830-10d-rom-flashable-zips-imgs-t3406505
An interesting observation is that some buildprop apps load the file while others cant (that all request rot permission).
Can someone explain why perhaps? Is this due to a permission on the file or something?
UPDATE: The phone will not boot bc i accidentally deleted the build.prom file entirely by restoring a seemingly blank version.
I really need a build.prop file now. #fail
Final update:
I was able to find a backup of my original build.prop
For anyone that may need it in the future, here is an upload of the Stock H830 10A build.prop:
http://www46.zippyshare.com/v/xpQFOfnG/file.html
Thanks in advance.
If I install a custom rom, can I edit the build.prop? If so, is there a certain custom rom, I need to look for?
I saw where I may be able to go back to Android 10, install TWRP, pull and push needed files?
