I actually do have a phone that has Android 9 on it, so I'm intrigued. What does transferring it from my phone do versus downloading it from apkmirror do? Sorry if this that is a basic question, I'm just a casual user. Thanks!
Has anyone verified this?
Got my Fire HD 10 today and downloaded the apks linked in the first post. Everything working fine so far. Have access to play store and downloaded a few apps
Yes it works. I did it day 2 of having my fire. Only important thing is to not let Google update Amazon apps. It really wants to update my Alexa.
yep, this worked on mine
How do I find the APK from an android 9 Phone to transfer it?
Everything works except Chrome keeps asking me to sign in to get Sync to work.

They are telling you that because in your list you are saying you used Google Account Manager 7.1.2 (Android 6.0+) . <--- This is android 6 as opposed to 9.
This is promising!!! :good:
So, I've heard Fire Tablet is not "completely" compatible with Playstore (hardware wise). Would some of the purchased apps from the play store work? i.g. Minecraft, Moon plus reader, Microsoft Office suite, Dropbox (free), Overdrive (free), Titanium Backup, etc.
I'd love to see a mod and see how some of these apps work before purchasing during BF 2019.
Ignore
How trustworthy is apkmirror.com? I usually use adb to pull apk backups off my phone from the playstore then I push them to my Fire devices?
Thanks,

apkmirror is very trustworthy, they always verify the checksum of a user-uploaded apk with the actual checksum from the official play store apk :good:
so you need to have have android 9 on another device to make this work on hd 10 2019 ork?

I bought a 2019 HD10 in the Black Friday sale. Google Play is working but I have a problem with Chrome. It is not possible to sync bookmarks etc. It asks for you to log in to your Google account again when you try and turn sync on, but this fails; you then get an error message saying that this account already exists on this device and it won't allow Chrome to log in. I think it may be permissions related as a couple of times I have seen a pop-up message asking for access for Chrome to the Google account but granting this does not make any difference.

It seems that the Google Installer that actually work was pulled out from HiApp,
Using other installer like v 4.4.2 from Meizu, or v2, the one that circulate a lot wont work on this phone,
So here's the download link for GMS Installer that will install the Play services properly through recovery
https://yadi.sk/d/LqIsfrqs3Kbz2L
Simply install the app, and press the "One Click Install" and let it auto reboot

Hi folks, you can refer to my previous Google Play installation experience for Honor 6x with EMUI4 and EMUI5.
I've just bought the Honor 9 in China and can't get this to work. When I try to install the GMS Installer it tells me "The parser did not find any certificates in the installation package." Googling this phrase made me none the wiser.
It then suggests I get the official version from HiApp, but there is of course no official version. I'm on the STF-AL10 model, build B175, EMUI 5.1, Android 7.0

There has been some progress, but not really. I've managed to install the following:
Google Account Manager
Google Calendar Sync
Google Contacts Sync
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
But still when I try to open Play Store it tells me to install core GMS packages I was under the impression that Play Services was the same as GMS?

Yes its the same.
You need to update your play services n play store to latest version first,
Download it from apkmirror
Using a chinese version of the GMSInstaller solved it for me. If you have the same problem ie can't install GMSInstaller with error about missing certificates, or error after installation about missing GMS core despite it being installed, try this version of the GMSInstaller:
https://m.box.com/shared_item/https://app.box.com/s/gpuf526astq1omfrqgy6u77fe1qysjj9
It's the very same file but with a Chinese name for all I can tell. Same size, looks, version number etc. But for some reason the only one my phone would accept.

Hi,
I previously installed google services successfully using GMSinstaller when I first got my Honor 9 in August.
Now it is upgraded to B201 and because it always crashes when it comes to google play, I ran GMSinstaller again which asked me to uninstall every google related apps.
I did so but now it is impossible to install google again
GMS installer will only propose me to uninstall previously installed google apps, then reboot.
I tried several "Google Installer" none of them are working.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

i have Nova 2s too.
just download the GMS Installer from the link given by thread starter, and then install it, open the app, and then press the install button and let it reboot, and voila!
you can check if there's an app called Google Play Services installed in your apps list.
next step is download this list from APKMirror.com :
- ConfigUpdater
- Data Transfer Tool
- Google Backup Transport
- Google Calendar Sync
- Android Services Library
- Android Shared Library
- Market Feedback Agent
- Google One Time Init
- Google Partnet Setup
- Google Services Framework
- Google Play Store
make sure to download the version which specific for your android version.
install all of that and reboot, and you're device will ready to go!

I'm having a Playstore problem. After Vivo Android 9 install, I no longer have the Google Playstore. When I try to install the APK from my phone's storage, Vivo security interferes and denies the install. When I try installing from my pc Google online Playstore, I get a message stating there's no phone linked to my account. Removing all Google apps and reinstalling Gmail or Maps as Vivo Facebook suggested, still doesn't install Playstore. The update from Vivo has somehow cut my phone's link with Google Playstore. From what I've come to understand it has something to do with a "handshake" file Vivo severed on my phone.
Any suggestions on getting back Playstore - or which Google apk to remove for initiating a fresh new Google install as when I first purchased the phone?

You could try installing manual play store via apk mirror.
https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=Play+store+
https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=Play+services++
Try not only the most recent version but oldest as well.
Maybe that be the solution
Also uninstall both play store /play services from your device(more settings-app manager-more-show system)before attempting install manual both Google services.

Hi all
Download the GMS Installer and install the APK, open the app, and press One Touch Installation, your device will automatically reboot and automatically install Google Play Services in Huawei eRecovery.
After your device booting back into system, check in Apps if the Google Play Services installed correctly.
After that, you can download the rest from APKMirror : Google Account Manager, Google Calendar Sync, Google Contacts Sync, Google Play Store, and Google Services Framework. Keep in mind you should download version that fit to your android version.
You can even update the Google Play Services to the latest version using the apk's from APKMirror, don't worry it will works.
That's it!

Or does it do the same thing thing as restoring Google apps from backup(with HiSuite and lzplay)?

No one has replied yet, who knows if it does! I don’t think it changes for Netflix!
I have included GMS through old method USB, i have no issue at all except the security (Netflix, Google pay...)
Any difference?
From other threads, this app just installs a messaging app, take a look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81568945&postcount=5
The 2 links are different, be careful, see pic below.
Even the GM's installer looks like it is just a cover for an app called com.tyq.pro. Please be careful, could do with someone who can analyse the files better than me to check. It just seems to be everywhere.

Guys, installing GMS one way or the other if using the proper files and not some dodgy messaging app will have the same end result. Our Mate 30 pro's are still flagged @ google as not being certified. At the end its the same old same GMS you install. I would be extremely carefully with what you download/install on your phones...We still don't know which "backdoors" if any are being installed with the so called restore hack.
Didn't fix any of the problems.

Yes, but play protect errors could appear, and you have to fix them.
Also Many apps (Google apps in particular) should be reinstalled or delete data+ force stop.

I got that notif too.
After almost 2 years using P40 Pro with no issue. I was tempted to update with the latest google play services (GMS) after read bender_007's post which stated no issue. And the nightmare came with those expiring notif.
This what I did. I uninstalled the GMS and all google apps start popping up notifs cant work without GMS.
I reinstall the GMS with the one I used for the first time (lucky me the apk file still exist in my phone).
And then I download GMS apk
version 21.24.56 (for P40 Peo) from this link

After GMS 21.24.56 installed, clear cache of GMS and restart the phone.
Works charm.
Thanks! I also got the same message and follow your steps to install 21.24.56 file. I will remember not update the play service anymore too.
