If the device supports then yes. Otherwise no. There is not support for HDR on unsupported devices. I mean the video will still play but won't be displayed on HDR

Yes mine does, thank you for the response!

does it play this video sample in stock player?
https://rapidshare.com/files/1822600111/720p_avc_high_l4_cabac_4_ref_frames.mp4
it is only 2 mb, please try it and tell me the result, thanx in advance
Stock players on most phones are never that great, the beauty of Android is that it allows you to change the defaults of system applications so you don't need the stock player.
I recommend MX or Mobo

it is simple, stock players use hw decoding which uses special video processing unit or dsp saving much power, whereas other players use sw decoding which uses cpu, so it drains power much quicker than hw decoding, thats why i wanna know the hw decoding limit of the phone
yes, the video sample plays fine in stock player

thanx u so much for answering my questions man, im planning to buy this phone and i wanna know if there is anything seriously wrong with it especially the screen since it doesnt have gorilla glass, thanx in advance
I had an LG Optimus One before so obviously the screen seems gorgeous to me. It's not as bright when compared to LG. It doesn't have GG but some other form of protection as I don't have any scratches on it and I don't use a screen protector. Other than that very nice phone for the money.

nexus 5 video player/movie player

hi, can someone tell me what video/movie player with codecs specifically works on nexus5? i tried BSplayer and mobo player and i don't get video, its just black screen and audio works fine, just no video,
thanks
using latest moboplayer and bsplayer
should i try mxplayer?
Have you tired using the alternate HW encoding feature? I believe it's in the preferences somewhere. I think the app actually has a little warning sign to try this if you are having problems with BS. I use it on my N5 without problems but my current videos are MP4 formats. Have tried any others.

Try DICE Player or VLC. Both works great.

couldn't agree more.

Head mount display support?

Is there any possibility, that MX player will have the support for showing movies side by side? There is only one app for that, and it is choppy as hell.

No, one video file played side by side, for any head mount display. Durovis, vrase or DIY model.

[Feature Request] Time-stretching Audio

Sample url m.youtube.com/watch?v=UgKgVDhf6oI&feature=youtu.be
I don't need to describe about this because developer may already known of the feature. It is used in Vlc. This feature will make ugly pitch to sweet voice....lol....
Is this same as playback speed Control?

We can have same pitch even if we perform operations like 0.x, 1.x, 2.x 3.x...speed. ie. your voice will not change even if you make it faster or slower, only speed will change.

This has already been requested, Plz search before creating a separate thread for it. So that we can Keep the forums clean
Adjustable video playback speed is already on the feature request list.
In terms of an audio-only speed adjustment feature... that should really be something done when the video file is created...
Semi-related, audio-video resyncing is also already on the feature requests list.
Any update on the development of this please? I really need it for my school

According to my recent conversation with the developer, It's 1.8 is in final stages. Beta testing is expected within one or two weeks.
Be patient.

I found the same problem so I tried this and now I'm playing 1440. Go to settings-display-screen resolution then change from 1080 to 1440. Hope this helps. I was just passing thru and saw this.
