I had to flash SAR-TWRP for Pixel Experience Android 10.
Do i need to flash Official TWRP for this? That attachment doesn't work with SAR-TWRP.

[LINUX/WINDOWS] EXT to F2FS ROM converter

Basic info
What is F2FS
F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) is a flash file system created by Kim Jaegeuk at Samsung for the Linux operating system kernel. The motive for F2FS was to build a file system that from the start takes into account the characteristics of NAND flash memory-based storage devices (such as solid-state disks, eMMC, and SD cards), which are widely used in computer systems ranging from mobile devices to servers.
Prerequisites
A s2ve/s2vep
F2FS compatible recovery (I recommend TWRP)
GNU/Linux with unzip, zip, patch packages or Windows
Usage
Linux:
Code:
cd linux
chmod +x convert.sh
./convert.sh [ROM_NAME].zip
Windows:
Code:
Install cygwin with patch, unzip, zip, wget, perl, cpio and copy files to cygwin home catalog
cd linux
chmod +x convert.sh
./convert.sh

It's for converting roms, not backups.
Morning LuK,
I managed to convert the latest Pac-man rom to f2fs using your tutorial for Windows.
Followed step by step and finaly everything went well. Thank you for making possible to use the new file format on our S2 Plus.
First i wanted to just update the existing Pac rom with the f2fs one, but it gave me an error, so i made a factory reset and this time it flashed ok.
With my little to no experience i would like to ask if only system gets the new file format, as in my convertion the other two (data and cache) are on the ext4 file format.
So far the phone works nicely, no sod, no reboot.

F2FS is just faster file system for flash memories (like ours). So in fact it can make your phone faster but it's not that visible in normal use.

[J710FN] need help, TWRP crypto footer and unmout data. (SOLVED)

Hi, you can see my question.
I've try wipe, but only data works. And no change.
I've try to réinstall the custom rom, you can see result.
Ttry to flash stock rom with odin, odin failed.
and try to réinitialise with smart switch ( he say me i havent tow slot for sim, i know). And ... nothing change.
The device has been already root, and i've already change for this custom rom with no problem.
Thanks for your help.
Edit: with format data after wipe data and after reboot on twrp, no red line, i've install the rom. good : i've the rom, bad : the problem is come back.
Just for to be sur, this screenshoot is just a example. Other installation make me the same error.
This rom work really good and other people haven't any problems.
Send me the kernel and I disable /data ecncrypting for you

do't worry it is normal i explain you
when you format with twr the data is readable
and the first time starting system Samsung encrypt the file so txr can't mount again data
but don't care about it

It's all because kernel has encrypted /data and data encrypts after a reboot. Some changes in the kernel solve your problem. Data will mount always after some changes in the kernel

When you flash anything that modifies or replaces the boot partition you need to reflash the patch afterwards or the data partition will be re-encrypted.

Thanks for your reply. But your method didn't worked. I have tried it. After reboot into recovery it is still can not mount "/system" partition. No problem with other partitions. It will be helpful if you can provide any methods that can convert the ROM as odin flashable ROM. :good:

Hi, I am using Samsung Galaxy Core GT-I8262. My phone is rooted and busybox installed. I have TWRPP 3.0.2 installed. Whenever I tried to install custom rom or format system partition, after few seconds it is automatically reboots into recovery. Then shows (in log): Unble to mount "/system", Unble to mount "/cache", Unble to mount "/data" and so on. Can anyone help me?

I Flashed A rom that doesn't support F2FS on my phone.

hi , as u can tell by the tittle , i just flashed Paranoid Andrid 7.2.3 which does not support F2fs. i realize it in the middle of flashing that my phone is on F2fs format not ext4 , now its stuck on oneplus logo , but i can still boot into TWRP. and when i open file manager on TWRP , there's nothing in there , tried to use my laptop too , yet still nothing there. any chance i recover my data plz or fix my phone ? thxx
Try the "fsck.f2fs" command from TWRP's terminal, with the -a and/or -f arguments. I've never needed to use it, but it's worth a try.
thx for ur reply . any chance of my data will be back ? *bad englsh
No idea. But it can't hurt to try.
As for the device (partition) names, for our device:
/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 (cache)
/dev/block/mmcblk0p14 (system)
/dev/block/mmcblk0p28 (data)
Make sure to unmount these partitions before you run any commands on them.
Let me know how it goes for you.
but how about the internal ?
update : tried to use fsck.f2fs but it says Error : Device not specified

Internal data is a subdirectory of /data. So by targeting the data partition, you are also implicity targeting your personal data as well.
