Android 10 GPS problem - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Is this me alone who have GPS not working after Android Q update? Is there any solution for that problem?

I think it's just you!

Stock rom OTA or some other update method?
Some people recommended resetting data/cache for the "fused location" system app to fix it (not sure the exact name, maybe it is also qualcomm something location, some system location related apps)

OK Google Fracked

Hey folks:
I use MyBackupPro as my maintenance tool. Upgrading to my N5 from my N4 MyBackupPro overwrote the stock launcher, causing OK Google to stop working.
Is there any way to get NOWs listener working again without doing a factory reset and/or installing the Factory Image?
I'm stock, and not rooted.
Thanks.

You didn't tell us which 4.4 version you have, but these links will help you man. I recommend trying the first link first and if it don't work, try the second link( I'm sure the first one will work).

Yeah, HOME only shows in settings/apps NOT in root settings. Therefore that selection isn't available.
PS 4.4.2 KitKat version

Unfortunately installation didn't solve the problem. Must be a preference turned off somewhere.

About ota updat

Will i get future ota update if i downgrade my lolipop phone to KitKat? Thanks in advance
Sent from my Aqua Speed using XDA Free mobile app
Hi. I think that once you downgrade your phone to KitKat you'll be prompted to install the Lollipop update again.
If a newer update will be released after the Lollipop one you won't be able to get it until you get the Lollipop update installed again.
Basically you can't skip an update.
You have to install them in the order they are prompted.

If you are rooted and have a custom recovery, don't install an ota update, because there is a high chance that you may hard brick your device. Install anything only from recovery.
Am not rooted nor using a custom recovery

Have you already downgraded to kitkat??
To force the update, if I'm not wrong, you have to go to Settings > Apps (or Applications) and select show All. Then find Google Services Framework and click the Clear Data button. Then click the Force Stop button.
And then check for updates, sometimes you have to clear the data until the update is not prompted.
The only cons is that sometimes the play store after the data clear of Google services can't install any apps and you have to remove and add the Google account.

Are you saying the OP's now works, or are you saying yours works?
If your phone can download and install whatsapp that's great, but the OP was having a problem, and I was trying to help him.

Mine works fine with whatsapp, seems strange he would have a problem, the only time I have ever seen an issue with installing apps is when you already have it installed and trying to install an apk (even if it is a new version)
You could try under security enabling Unknown sources and see if that works.

There is about 100 reasons it won't install from the play store. Anything from no storage, to a corrupt download, to an issue with the data partition.
These things happen, but with no further information from the OP went do anything to help.

finally i got it to work with this guide:
https://beebom.com/how-enable-google-assistant-any-android-no-root/
+ i did the following (was written in the comments)
*UPADTE ON THIS GUYS COMMENT
Hello Guys,
I was also trying this and it did not work. Then what I did is as follows:
1. Disabled only the Google app. So it restores to factory app(non-Beta).
2. Enable it again
3. Changed the language to English US.(GOOGLE ACCOUNT,GBOARD,PHONE)- I DON’T SURE WHICH ONE
4. Now in Play store again updated latest to Beta app.
5. Cleared Data for Play service and Google App as mentioned.
6. And done. I am able to see Assistant now on my S7 edge.

Now I hope, that assistant will no more disappear :silly:

GPS not working

After a few new updates (I don't know what) the GPS stopped working.
Even trying some "GPS Status" APPs it fails to hook up any satellite.
I have already tried to do a hard reset, but the problem remains.
Does anyone have the same problem? What can it be due to?
Thank you

Maybe try GPS Test and clear and update the AGPS data. Worth a try.
Cheers!
