Camera image blurry after Evolution X update! - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I recently updated to EvolutionX_2.3_violet-9.0-20191020-1517-OFFICIAL and then it asked me to update again so it OTA updated to Android 10 which caused my phone to constantly boot in to recovery so I installed EvolutionX_2.3_violet-9.0-20191020-1517-OFFICIAL again but now my camera image is blurry for some reason maybe somebody know why? I installed anx camera with the patch but nothing seems to fix it.

You were not supposed to OTA to android 10, we're not OEMs to be able to provide seamless android updates . The only way to fix is to clean flash either of version 2.3 or 3.0

Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.0 Oreo FAQ / How to install the latest update for MI A1

Q: I haven't received the lastest security update, how can I get it?
A: Just wait. Updates may take up to two weeks to reach your smartphone.
Edit: there's now an official way to force install updates:
Download and install the latest version of Google Play Services - it's an official signed version, 12.2.17 (448-186052348) (12217448).
Check for updates - you'll receive an update immidiately.
Q: What's the current build number?
A: As of March 1, 2018, the current build is OPR1.170623.026.V9.5.4.0.ODHMIFA Security patch level: February 1, 2018. Kernel version: 3.18.66-perf-g90e3040 [email protected] #1 Mon Feb 26 11:58:45 WIB 2018
Q: Does Picture in picture mode work?
A: It does but only a few apps currently support it: e.g. VLC (it must(!) be enabled first in VLC settings), Google Chrome (for desktop mode), YouTube (YouTube red subscription is required), Google Maps (only in navigation mode) and WhatsApp (during a video call).
Q: What are the known bugs?
A: Check this topic.
Q: Where can I get a firmware image to flash offline (fastboot ROM)?
A: Check this page for updates.
Q: Are there EIS or Camera2API? Has low light camera performance been improved?
A: Sadly, both are still missing and low light camera performance is still horrible.
Q: How can I improve low light camera performance?
A: Root your phone, enable EIS/Camera2API, install Google Camera with HDR+.
Q: Can I use/install Google Camera with HDR+?
A: No. (Yes, if you're willing to root your phone and enable EIS/Camera2API).
Q: I've heard about Quick Charge in Oreo, is it indeed present?
A: No, this has been verified by many people, some of whom used multimeters.
Q: What about the Google Phone (dialer) and Google Messages apps?
A: They are now both stock straight from Google.
Update: The latest version of Google Phone is incompatible with the MI A1 for unknown reasons but it's Google who made this decision.
Q: How can I hide the X mark for mobile networks?
A: You can disable WiFi or you can install a substratum theme, "Hide X".
Q: My favourite app or game crashes under Oreo.
A: Factory reset your phone, install just this game/app - check if it crashes. If it does, contact its developer. If it doesn't then some other app or your settings have broken the app/game.
Q: How can I disable/hide/remove App is running in background notification?
It's a "feature" of Android 8. There are three methods to get rid of this nuisance.

No. If you install Magisk you will be able to receive and install OTA updates. You'll just have to reinstall Magisk after each update.

There is not fully working TWRP for Oreo as of now.
Magisk can be used by flashing patched boot.img, which already contains Magisk or follow a bit complicated TWRP guide.

I got this Decryption Unsuccessful on side B (updated to Oreo on side A), while the side A is working just fine. Can anyone assist me with this?

You have to restore stock boot before OTA installation, currently that's possible probably only manually.

Oreo changed the encryption scheme, only the latest TWRP version or Oreo system supports it. Nougat system and older TWRP versions will have problems with decryption.

I tried flashing my phone with latest Nougat, both locked and unlocked bootloader. All fine and good, then I updated to Oreo on my partition B. Worked just fine but I cant boot into partition A as the encryption failed.
Not sure what I have to do on my phone.
Has anyone noticed this thing where if we open a slightly darker or dark image, the display boosts up the brightness in the dark areas ? Sort of like the sunlight display on some phones. I tried to record an instance but it doesn't show it clearly.

Is it just me or Has anyone else noticed it ? Is it something that's built-in or can I disable it ?
Ok so my A1 is rooted bootloader unlocked but for some reason the google camera is not working on this and it used to work on 7.1.2 i enabled HAL3 but still no result can anyone help me

What are you trying to do? Once you upgrade to Oreo, you can't safely boot Nougat system. Even if data wouldn't be encrypted, many apps would force close due to changes between these systems. If you want to downgrade, factory reset is probably inevitable.

There are still A/B partitions. Could you describe what are you trying to achieve? I simply don't understand why do you try to boot into Nougat once you have successfully upgraded to Oreo.

It is somehow possible to hide/disable update to Oreo? My phone is not rooted.

Long exposure issue after manually updating camera from APKMirror

After OnePlus 7 Pro release, I had installed the stock camera from APK Mirror. Later upon experimenting with it found that under pro mode even with 5 seconds shutter speed I was unable to capture Long exposure photos like I used to. Reverted to Stock 3.0.16 it works, on v3.2.99 its just saves the first frame. Is anyone else having the same issue. I had cleared cache and storage post installation of the new camera and still get the same results.
Try the new 3.3.8, and if it doesn't work then go back to 3.0.16, cuz i think those apk arent really made for the op6 or maybe it'a a firmware problem that needs to be updated( each apk comes with a specific firmware in the update i guess and sometimes there is no need for a new firmware update )

Sometime your method working for 30-40 min then the issue remains same camera show black screen...
I have OnePlus 6
Since past 2 months I am facing this issue. Whenever I open camera. It goes completely black. I am so frustrated with it as my daily usage is from camera....any permanent solution
I updated it via Oxygen Updater app, from Android 9 to 10 and then Android 11.1.1.1. The camera was working completely fine on Android 9/10 but 3-4 days after updating to Android 11.1.1.1., it started crashing. On 6-7th day it completely stopped working on stock Camera app.
Now when I click the Camera app, it opens the Camera with black screen and closes within two seconds. That's it, no response at all. It does not switches to front camera at all. If I select any other Camera Mode (Video/Portrait) on back cam it closes without any response.
I need your help Any solution

Got a bootloop to TWRP after downloading latest update from Arrow OS and installing it

Dear all,
Hope you are doing great, I was downloading and installing automatic updates just fine and the other week got a notification about a new update of over 1.4 gbs and the automatic installer was not possible to do and requested me to download it and installing it manually. I downloaded the Rar and everything was going smooth and when I enter TWRP I installed at first shoot without doing any wipe or clear cache or data.
All was installed and it told me to restart the phone, I did that and vroom a vibrating sound happen and got me back to the main screen of Poco and then to TWRP and show me 3 workarounds to clear data and cache and the last resort do a clean flash rom.
I had to end with the last option since I was unable to install the update. What could be gone wrong here? I am back at stock now and I am very sad that this fricking update break all the custom firmware and got me bootlooped
I look for your inputs and maybe I can try again.
Thank you!
You must install Android 11 firmware for newer versions of Arrow as it has switched to OSS vendor.
I was on arrow os 11 so Android 11 was on there, the issue was when I was installing the new update from surija I believe si called the developer.
Do you guys have an idea what did I did wrong? Should You recommend staying vainilla stock miui 12 with root privileges or arrow 11?
Thank you!
I was able to flash the latest version update but I am having a System UI is not responding and got WIFI broken so if anyone is installing this update be careful, does anyone installed the last arrow OS update?
I am currently having issues with the last update, I think I will stick with no updates on the firmware
Sorry I am posting multiple updates on my thread, but I tested it and definetly the last update from Surya break the OS when you login you do not have WIFI and is showing the error I mentioned UI system unresponsive. I installed the version from April from Arrow OS and all works like a charm.
So if anyone reads this be careful with latest release from Surya 5/14 version
Yes, i can confirm. The version I used initially was from april 30. The update from may caused bootloop. I'll be turning off updates when I restore it with miflash.
The main reason I went with arrow is that it is selinux enforcing and supports safety net. But this really makes me think..
@SebixWolf The problem may have been that you flashed arrowos from the wrong miui version. I just miflashed back to the original regional version, flashed twrp again and flashed the R firmware. See https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ng-flashing-custom-rom.4274891/#post-85002889

[HELP] Camera Bricked?

All right I spent a good chunk of the night trying to solve this but was unable to do so.
On OOS 10.3.8, I tried installing an updated APK for the OnePlus Camera that I got from APK Mirror. After the updated APK installed, it came up as a black screen. I tried reverting and I still got the black screen. I tried updating to OOS 11 to see if maybe the actual newer APK would solve it but it did not. So I did the MSMDownload back to OOS 10.3.8 and was still having the same problem.
I was able to get the camera working after MSMDownloading OOS 9.5.3 to the phone and updated it to the latest OOS9 (forget the number right now). Camera worked on there. Soon as I update to OOS 10 again, the camera stopped working.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Ahaan it's happening with me also, i was using corvus os 4.O but after updating a newer version of corvus os 5.O, I am facing same problem like you ( camera is not working)
Someone help me to fix my camer
