Hi,
I want to root my Galaxy S6 using CF-Auto-Root.
Unfortunately my model (SM-G9200) on Android 7.0 does not have my build available in CF-Auto-Root.
I wanted to ask, can I root my model with an older build of 6.0.1? The page states:
"To be clear, just because you have a newer Android version than listed here, does NOT mean the CF-Auto-Root will not work - there's a good chance that it will!"
Is it safe to try and use an older build?
If I try and it doesn't work, will the process fail gracefully without any damage to my phone, or will I brick my phone?
What if I try to use an android 7.0 build of another model with the same board and platform?
I'm a noob at rooting, so I'm not sure why I gotta root a specific build, as long as I have the same chipset as other S6 devices with different builds?
I'd be very happy if someone knows the answers to the questions above - I'm terrified of trying these stuff and bricking my phone.
Last thing - if I cannot use any of the methods above, can someone please ask to add support for my current build & model in the CF-Auto-Root thread?
Unfortunately, as I am a noob here, I cannot post in that thread by myself.
My devicedetails:
Device: Galaxy S6 (China Dual Sim - Hong Kong)
Model: SM-G9200
Android version: 7.0
Build number: NRD90M.G9200ZHU2EQE1
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks
Is there any nougat 7.1.2 custom rom or higher for the galaxy j7 2016 ??
Well a quick <search> would answer your question very fast, but I'll try to help you. The answer is YES there are custom ROMs running Nougat on the J7,
but it all depends on which J7 you have. There are many different J7's. You said yours was J7 2016 but there are a couple different J7's released in 2016.
After releasing the first Galaxy J7 in 2015, Samsung released two new J7 models in 2016 and five in 2017 -- making it a bit tricky to work out which phone
you actually have.
The fastest way to know for sure is to check the About Phone section of Settings. Open the Settings app, scroll to About Phone, then scroll down until
you see the model name listed. The 2015 model will be called the Galaxy J7, while the 2016 model will be called ‘Galaxy J7 (2016)’. After that, it gets
more complicated as the roster of Galaxy J7 phones has swelled to include the J7 Prime, J7 Max, J7 Pro and J7 Nxt.
From a quick search I see:
[ROM] Download Lineage OS For Galaxy J7 Nougat 7.1.1 [SM-J700F/H/M]
[ROM] [NN] [7.0] [Stock] [G610XX] FeedStock Nougot Rom for J7 Prime
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][7.1.2] LiquidDark For Samsung Galaxy J7 [OMS][24 Apr 2017]
[ROM][7.0][J7 2015 Exynos] Revolution OS v4.5 Updated 22/08/2017
[ROM][7.0][V2][HYPERION FIRST TW NOUGAT ROM FOR j7 2015]
[ROM][7.0][Version 1.0][SPECTRE UX NOUGAT ROM For J7 2015]
[ROM][AROMA]Pixel Experience ROM for Galaxy J7 2015
[ROM][7.1.2][j7elte][UNOFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix N R_1 [SM-J700F/H/M]
## I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY OF THESE, so do so at your own risk. But first off you need to be sure you have the correct ROM for YOUR phone.
Good luck my friend

Hello there. I have a Samsung QE43Q60A TV.
I want to cast the audio from the TV to my phone/tablet with the use of Smart Things app. GUESS WHAT?! It's not possible on most of the SAMSUNG devices that I have tried.
THEY ALL HAVE BEEN UPDATED AS WELL AS THE SMATTHINGS APP.
Let's sum it up:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (Android Pie, unrooted but knox flagged) : NOT POSSIBLE
- Samung Galaxy M31 (Android 11, unrooted) : NOT POSSIBLE
- Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android Pie ported rom, rooted): NOT POSSIBLE.
- Samsung Galaxy A71 (Android 11, not rooted): POSSIBLE
- Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 (Note 10 Lite port of Android 10, rooted) : POSSIBLE.*
*previously tried with the TW stock Oreo rom and another port, but on Pie and it was NOT working.
Guess what?? The A71 is pretty useless to me and the A5 2017 is SUPER SLOW.
I have found no way to make this feature work on those other devices. Rooting those recent devices is out of questions. I have tried both the Play Store and Galaxy store version. Useless.
Any help? Thank you
I have had a Samsung J7 for awhile now, and recently got interested in rooting the device. However, I cannot find any info for how to unlock the bootloader of this specific model. I have the newer version of the J7, and it is running pie, rather than oreo as I see in most of these threads here. I have come across a few threads discussing it(

Thanks in advance!
