How to install Youtube Vanced Root as User App? - General Questions and Answers

I've tried to install Youtube Vanced Root as instruct but the app won't appear after install using TWRP. Later, I notice that Youtube Vanced was installed as System App but System Partition of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is only 596MB and full. That's why it doesn't show up. Is there anyway I can install it as User App?

App "PhotoTAN Raiffeisen Schweiz" on rooted devices

If you don't know what the app "PhotoTAN Raiffeisen Schweiz" than this is probably not interesting for you.
I'm just writing this to confirm that the aforementioned app can be run on rooted devices. First I tried several of the root hiding apps in the market, but for all I tried, the app still detected root and deleted the credentials.
The next thing I tried was suhide which left my Tab S2 (T810, 6.0.1, rooted) in a boot loop.
I ended up trying Xposed with RootCloak (Xposed Guide for S7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039). Installing Xposed using FlashFire didn't work for me, so I copied the zip to the external sd and installed using TWRP. In Xposed I installed RootCloak and added the app to the apps root should be hidden from.
After a restart, I can now use the app without an issue and I can also backup/restore the credentials using TitaniumBackup.
I hope, this helps someone and I hope the devs of the app don't read this and fix the app.
Using Titanium Backup I also detached the app from the market, so I'll not get automatic updates.

YouTube logo gone after installing Vanced via Magisk

Hi everyone,
I've recently installed the Vanced module via Magisk
prior to the i think I've uninstalled the YouTube app and now I the logo and the app name are gone (don't remember if I've only uninstalled the updates or was it the entire app). I can only see that "com.google.android..." which opens the vanced app (properly I must say).
I think there's a problem with the app's path (because it may have been deleted) but I'm not sure
Its galaxy s9 plus

Uninstalled apps comming back after unrooting.

Device: OnePlus 7 Pro
Os: Oxygen OS 10.0.1
I decided to uninstall the pre-loaded Netflix application that comes with the phone. I rooted my device and downloaded System App Remover to the successully uninstal the app. Once uninstalled the app, I decided to unroot the device. After unrooting the app came back.
Is this normal? Do I need to be rooted to uninstall the app? And where is comming the uninstalled app from after unrooting?
Thanks.
I usually delete the APK I use root explorer
Thanks for the replay
I also tried that. When I deleite the APK and reboot the app is deleted. Then , when i unroot with the magisk manager app, the uninstalled app returns.

Removing YouTube from system?

Hey guys, so I tried using a system app remover to remove YouTube. On reboot, phone froze, crippled my OS. No biggie, just reflashed my rom. My question is, is freezing YouTube with titanium backup a better option or will that likely yield the same result? Making me just have to reflash my rom again anyway.
I'm running OOS beta 9.
xxx-No Limits works at doing this. As well as replacing it with You Tube vanced if wanted. I prefer NewPipe as my replacement.
Use magisk module Debloater(Terminal Emulator) to remove any system app, you also need to install magisk module busy box and Termux from the playstore.
If you want to install YouTube Vanced you can only disable official YouTube app and install non root Vanced and it will work without problems, root methods will need to disable apk verification, and magisk modules will overwrite official app so, the playstore Will update it even if you deactivated automatic updates.
Sent from my OnePlus7Pro using XDA Labs
Navigate to /System > /System > /App or /Pri-App Some apps are moved into /System > /System > /Product > /App or /Priv-App
With a file manager with root capabilities or just file manager in TWRP don't forget to mount system first. There you can delete any pre installed apps you want just careful what you remove as could lead to issue or loss of features etc. The tomato debloat script or xXx module should have a list of safe to remove apps.
twrp file manager has been the best. Just follow the confusing steps below
Reboot to twrp
Go to mount
Mount system and vendor
Go back to main page
Go to file manager
/system/system/
App
Data
Priv-app
Vendor
Product
there are several folders with these apps installed into so you'll have to go around and delete them
Only thing it doesn't delete is India.img (because oneplus has been sucking Indias dxxx while letting everywhere else struggle)

Magisk microG made play store and play services stop working

Hi,
I installed YT Vanced through their manager app via root (magisk) and then (for some reason) installed microG from magisk, thinking it is the same microG that vanced uses.
Now that didn't work so I uninstalled the module and in doing so somehow play store and services were converted into user apps. I flashed the ROM once but they didn't switch to system app so I uninstalled them (dunno what I was thinking) and tried flashed ROM again.
I flashed the ROM by downloading it from oxygen updater and flashing it in settings and then flashing magisk again from the app, but play store and services don't come back.
I tried the flashing process 2-3 times, so pretty sure I have flashed it on both partitions by now, but no luck. How do I get them back?
Root versiĆ³n of ytvanced (from official vanced manager)don't need VANCED microG, so I don't know why you flashed the microG version from magisk manager.
To restore your apps you should do a factory reset.
