Hi,
I have a Sprint HTC U11 WHL Device With UHL Japan ROM installed on it. Bought it on eBay for a great price and thought it might work for me. But I'm running into an issue:
1. Official HTC WHL Sprint RUU executables always fail with ID mismatch error (as the installed ROM is 2PZC2000 (wrong ROM) and I'm attempting to flash 2PZC5000 ROM (to set it straight)). All versions checked via MD5 hash.
2. .ZIP RUUs always fail using htc_fastboot, with a "data size too large" error.
My questions are:
1. How can I get the .exe to disregard the Model ID?
2. Why are the .zip RUUs failing with such a ridiculous error?
3. Is this a situation that "S-OFF" can remedy?
Thanks!

I have a Sprint HTC U11 WHL Device (manufactured specifically for Sprint, for sale in the US) which has a UHL Japan firmware installed on it. I am trying to flash the US Sprint device with the original firmware that was installed on it at the factory, or any later update to that firmware.

Hello
I have a HTC HD7 phone, which I flashed with the leaked 'official' mango
RUU_Schubert_S_HTC_Europe_4.05.401.02_Radio_5.69.0 9.29a_22.50.50.21_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
But I didnt get the Microsoft 7740 update yet, nor the HTC update (tethering)
Did any of you guys (with flashed ROMs) get these updates?
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306415on my HTC 7 Pro working good, but isn't Internet Sharing in there.

I used this UPD to 7740 on my unbranded HTC 7 Pro and work perfectly. But in first time I taked error (I don't remember what is error). I changed name *.cab to shorter: diff-7.10.7720.68-7.10.7740.16.cab and update is done.

Not yet... The question is if anyone with official Mango (via Zune) has received it in the same region...
that's true.
I haven't heard any reports from Romania, where I'm from
Anyone? I don't know of I should just wait or try rolling back to NoDo. I've previously flashed with leaked stock rom for HTC 7 Pro...
wow. just plugged in, checked UPDATE menu option in Zune.. and there it was: 7740
Just received 7740.16 with internet sharing for my HTC 7 Pro (Poland). I've got .403 firmware, not .401.
Hey guys,
I am currently following the unroot process here (http://theunlockr.com/2011/10/03/how-to-unroot-the-htc-sensation-4g/), and am running into some issues. I downloaded the most recent RUU from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559), and followed the instructions on both the RUU and the unlockr website. It took almost an hour and a half to download the RUU from FileFactory, and then it failed to do anything. My phone didnt even react to the RUU before it said that there was an "unknown error" and what not.
Right now I am trying to get a different, slightly older RUU but again it is claiming it will take over an hour (honestly, 386MB should not take that long to download). So first question is, are there any reliable mirrors for the TMOUS RUU? Second, does anyone have an idea on why it failed the first time I tried it? I followed the instructions to a T and it failed. Third, is this the only way to unroot and get S-ON?
I need to unroot and get S-ON for warranty work done on this phone.
Thanks a lot.
EDIT: I just tried the different RUU and I came across the same issue. I have no idea why this isnt working. This is the error I am getting...

Ok. I have this firmware: 14.81.2 falcon umts EURetail en.EU
This is not available on sfb.droid, one of less not available.
This firmware is for Italy, Belgium and Spain.
I want simply extract every single partition from my phone to make a complete firmware to flash every time when i need of it like other available firmwares.
My phone is stock, locked bootloader, unrooted.
One of you or any dev can write a procedure so i can to make available this firmware also for other?

I am interested on this as well.
Interested too.
And of course, also interested in 4.4.2 if available.
I'm interested as well. Need stock SL.en.EU version, preferably 14.91.11, but older ones are also good. We need a method to extract stock firmwares.
Please, consider all you people asking in the Firmware Team forums, both for method and new uploads on sbf.droid-developers.org

Well after checking the version in download mode i found that it is g920v but the phone has g920f on the back does this mean that the fw is of verizon or the other way around?
Now i know that my phone started out as a G920v and was rooted and modified to make it look like the international G920F
this sucks, anyways can i flash the g920f roms on this one? if yes can you guys give some guides PLZ reply!

I think it's G920V. Download Phone INFO Samsung, and look for the model in it.
yes it is the g920v i've been scammed im so angry right now! any solutions guys?
I am on the same boat. ..I bought this phone in Australia from eBay and they gave me 920v instead of 920f. I did bit Google and read somewhere that you need to use custom ROM for your model only. Though you can use ROM of different baseband.
My baseband ends in BOK7 and it seems they don't have updates available. I m stuck on 5.1.1 I just don't know if I flash ROM would it relock to Verizon?
The phone is AT&T asurion replacement and as far as I know it hasn't been rooted or anything. I figured maybe it was an Asurion proprietary thing...but I'd love to know for certain.
Thanks

Are you asking if the update toggle is normal? All of my At&t devices have the update toggle that is how you get ota. You can disable it with Titanium backup if rooted or with ADB commands. I know JRkruse AIO firmware has it removed..but you can only use AIO if you're rooted.

The icon is noticeably different than other samsung phones
That is the way my update toggle looks on all my At&t phones. I had unlocked device it looked different. If you have At&t sim the firmware provisions to the sim you have in your device and will reflect that.

My baseband version doesn't match what the number is supposed to be though. The phone is just off. The whole reason I went with this model was because it offered a mid range price without galaxy s21 prices
Its nothing to worry about, its normal
You can go to Samfw and download the firmware for your device and flash with Odin. Looks like you on bootloader 5..so download firmware with bit 5 bootloader and flash BL..CP..AP..CSC. just heads up CSC will wipe device..HOME_CSC will not wipe
