Hi guys,
I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone has a Leagoo T5 and might be able to help with rooting it, ideally without flashing the OS?
I'm worried about bricking the phone, which is why I'd rather just root the current OS if possible. My current OS version is: OS2.1_E_20181025
I'd looked at many of the well know root tools, like KingRoot, KingoRoot and OneClickRoot, but so far none of these offically support this device.
So, has anyone successfully rooted this phone with the default OS, and if so, which rooting tool did you use?
Note - My goal is to install an app (needs root access) that can prevent the phone from charging over 80%, to boost the battery's lifespan if left to charge.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
So, is it not possible to root Android without flashing the device first?

Helloooo community ,
I've got a question for y'all. I want to root my AT-AS45IPS but their are some complications. The adb program(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460) Will succesfully complete the cycle, but whatever I do the phone won't gain root access.
Does anyone know how to root the AT-AS45IPS ?

Did you know that the Aldi Wolfgang AT-AS45IPS is the same (rebranded phone) as the Amoi N821.
I can install the rooted Amoi firmware on it (after you took a backup copy of your current firmware).
The method is described here: http://dfourn.com/?p=49
The firmware is here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-vvQ3P2Q9o0UUVUaEZ3RTVyajg/edit?usp=sharing
I would suggest you also note your IMEI number before you start, because it seems you need to copy it back after the firmware is installed.
Please let me know if this worked, cause I would like to buy one too.
Hi everyone,
i have been searching for 2 weeks how to root this phone, but no luck yet. I am saying no luck for a proper way to do it , because you can do it with the avant method, or by using the CF method which uses the SM-G386T firmware, and for reading lots of forums, i know it works, but the problem is if i ever want to update later, i would not be able to do so. I already have the firmware for my phone, G386WVLU1ANJ1, running android 4.4.2 KITKAT, and i have extracted the recovery.img from the firmware file. I am searching how to unlock the bootloader so i can apply whatever rooting method i want. Since i am new to this, i need some information. If i ever want to use the CF-Auto-Root method using the SM-G368T model, can i go back to stock phone whenever needed by flashing recovery image from the SM-G386W ?. If not, is there any other method i can use, preferably one that doesn't trip my KNOX flag to 0x01. Until now i have tried 2 methods, Towelroot and Z4root, which didn't work at all. The main reason i want to root is i want to get rid of the bloatware installed by default on my phone and gain control of my phone without any restrictions, and customizing it.
Please need help.
Thank you very much
P.S: can anyone recommend some reading about rooting android phones?

I also own one of these phones and would like to root the phone to get rid of bloat ware and make the phone run smoother. I would appreciate if you could give a quick run down on how you managed your root. Greatly appreciated.

Canadian carrier use Kingo one click root
Hi
i always used Kingo one click root it has super su that make it easy for bloat removal in a click of a button for all my Samsungs Galaxy core lte
galaxy s4
Hello, I really need an expert who can help me to root my device, it comes pre-rooted. Im trying to fix this for couple of days and cannot manage, I unrooted the device from SuperSu in the settings>full unroot
My phone is a Meizu Pro 5 with Flyme OS 5.1.2.0G that I installed following this guide (guide-how-to-install-i-international-firmware-on-your-chinese-mainland-meizu) when I had root acces. It originally came with Flyme OS 4.5.4.2I.
Now I need root access again and it seems impossible to get it, I tried recovering the telephone and changing the OS back to the original but nothing seems to help, maybe some of you know how to manually re-root the phone?
Thank you all very much for your time.
Hello Seniors: Complete newbie here. Pardon my ignorant question, but I would truly appreciate if you can please assist.
I have bought a new S7 (SM-G930F). want to root the device but have no clue as to what it takes. Have some questions -
(a) Are rooting and flashing rom two different things ?
(b) Does flashing rom mean installation of a new OS for the device ?
(c) I just wish to root the device. Want to have Super SU access. I do not want to remove stock OS and install install any other OS on the device. How can I achieve that ?
(d) I recall someone rooted S5 few years ago, everything went okay for few months, but then the rooted device started popping messages like Google Update service disabled quite frequently. Is this something that happens on a properly rooted device ?
I would truly appreciate your help.

Hello and Welcome to XDA-developers!
(a) Rooting is the process made in order to have ROOT access on device and Flashing is exactly the same as "Installing"
(b) Yes and No. You can flash a new rom (new OS) or you can flash an update of your current rom.
(c) HERE you have some information on how root your device. If you have any douts about it just ask it there, there are plenty users that can help you.
(d) This can be/not be related to root access
Report if you have more doubts and have fun! :good:
I have recently obtained the US version of the Honor 8, I would like to root it but I have never rooted a device before and I am worried I will accidently break my phone doing this. Is there a high chance of this happening? Also, what are some easy ways to root the Honor 8 running Nougat (easiest for a noob), thanks?
