Hi.
I would like to ask about something annoying that happens in my redmi 5 plus (oreo version).
Ok, so there is the signal icon and next to it there is the network type icon (E,3G,4G).
I'm happy with the network type being always visible, even if mobile data is off, but when wifi is turned on, the network type disappears.
In other words, the wifi signal appears in the same spot where network type icon was.
I have searched so many hours through google to find a solution, but nothing.
I have downloaded Edxposed installer to find modules that could help... I found one module "flat style bar indicators", but for some reason this app makes the signal icon disappear. So, the app is not fully compatible with miui 10 (oreo).
I couldn't find anything else to solve it.
Also, my carrier's name is displayed only on lock screen. Why is that?? I would like to solve that too.
Has anyone any advice to give??
Is it easy to create a module myself?? I study computer programming but I need guidance for this type of things.
Can anyone help me??

On the other hand, is it a defect for your current firmware? Why not to check if there is any update for your system software(Oreo)?

I don't think it's a defect. I think it's the miui 10 that has this style by default.
Also other mobiles with android 8 and above don't display the carrier name on the status bar, except on the lockscreen.
I did all the updates, but nothing.

On my Huawei mobile phone, the network type (4G,3G,2G) and the signal strength are in same icon.
I will manage to contact some friends which have a Xiaomi phone in order to verify the network type icon issue for you.

Yesterday I confirmed with a friend about the network type icon on his Xiaomi phone.
Here are the screenshots:
The first was a screenshot when WLAN option was off.
The second was a screenshot when WLAN option was on.
His phone model is Xiaomi MI 5s plus with MIUI 11 9.9.26 and Android 8.0.0 Oreo.
For your reference.
Perhaps you need to update your MIUI 10 to MIUI 11 at first in order to work out the issue.

Well... I don't think his phone has miui 11.
If it was 11, his version would be something like 11.x.x.
The latest official update of my phone is miui 10.2.3.0 and it's oreo 8.1.0.
I think there are still many months until they manage to create miui 11 for redmi 5+.

Well.. I googled it and found that in China they released some beta miui 11 updates and for some reason they put 9.x.x version for some phones.
So his miui 11 isn't official, but it's strange anyway.
Maybe the official one will say 11.x.x

I have found one more bug. "Styles and Wallpapers" crashes when you try to click on "Styles" to change the system color theme. Or it's only me who face this issue
First things first, tank you for working to bring this ROM for whydead whyred, i'm glad to comeback to PE. Now, i did not find any fatal bug so far, but it seems that the kernel don't support KCAL, and -you can guess it- my device has screen retention, if possible, can you please add support in the next release? Much obliged.

Encountered a really strange issue, cannot use apps like Tidal & Netflix when on wifi they say network issue, tried on mobile data it worked and after initial startup I can switch to wifi and use it.
Can confirm nothings wrong with my wifi I can use both on my computer just fine.
I got some problem with network..when I change 3G to 4G the LTE icon gone and the network connection connect and disconnect repeatedly..UI freezing problem are here..so far everything good for me..hope our new dev will solve every problem..

Does anyone else have an issue on 12.2.4.0 where you cannot use another launcher with the system gestures? It's really frustrating I hate the system launcher and I don't like the navigation bar either and I don't know how to make the full screen gestures work with lawnchair launcher or even nova
If anyone knows any workarounds or fixes can you please let me know

i have same prob with miui 12.2.2 version and none of the gestures apps working.
I have the version 12.5 xiaomi.eu and the gestures with external launchers do not work either. I think it's an Android 11 issue that launchers developers need to fix.
try to use "fluid n.g." app for gestures!
you can try " gesture-control pro" app too.
btw. to work with nova (6/7) you have to set poco as the system launcher!
Please enable poco gestures after installing gesture app.
If poco is not running as the system launcher, you will loose taskmanager function!! (recent app)
Be sure, that developer option "miu optimizing" is set to on!
Otherwise you will get a lot of problem's too.
tip:
it can be helpful to set nova and setup icon to be used at the lower side of home screen. So you will be able to switch fast to nova if it necessary.

Just note that fluid ng must be kept running in the background - the moment you kill it from Recents, gestires are gone.

Yes, you have to protect it against killing by the system!
1.) Battery optimization for this app set to "off"
2.) Recent task list -> Fluid N.G."locked"
3.) App setup for Fluid N.G. " running in backround "
4.) app energy management " no limits"

Unfortunately the app I tested I would not recommend it can suddenly stop working I was stucked. Lucky I didn't buy it yet. Xiaomi is we can hope more ppl complains to them. I wish 3rd party apps would have worked.

I have problems to access my contacts, SMS, settings and other things because background becomes black, time, battery disappears. Attaching example:

I need to have gmail, google play and other Google service.

All google apps working as before. Only one problem with this "dark mode" - I still didn't find solution for it.
Since I upgraded to Harmony Os, I lost my dark mode too.....no theme is compatible with it. They all show blank dark everywhere. Now I have Harmony Os 2.0.0.140 and no dark mode available.
Honor, can you please give us dark mode in our Honor note 10 Harmony Os in the next update? You need to sort this out for your faithful customers.
If anyone has the solution of how to get well functioning night or dark mode in Honor note 10 running Harmony Os 2.0.0.140, please let me know. Thanks

Actually i own a huawei p30 pro the Chinese model n i faced that issue as well when i upgraded to harmony os, my gmail app nomata how updated it was, it neva hard dark mode feature there i had to downgrade back to android and once i did that, dark mode was there on my gmail app so i decided to NOT upgrade back to that Harmony Os untill i find some 1 online to confirm that that issue was solved, it was irritating, to not have dark mode on gmail app

because the blackground and text are same black color. 09-04 is battery sunlight mode,text color change to not black, not same color to blackground black.

Have you tried factory resetting the phone at all with it being a dirty install and Major Version jump from Android 12 > 13 rather than an incremental update
Also I'm now on the beta version C10 however I'm missing the Widgets for stuff like Weather, Battery etc
Anyone else missing this?

Mine has Chinese letters too.
I thought it was just me. There was one other menu option that showed Chinese characters for me but I can't get back to it when I was trying to submit feedback. Does anyone know if a screen recording is necessary for the feedback to get submitted?

I submitted another feedback. I saw that my previous feedback was no longer in the My Feedbacks section.
Another thing, do you notice how the screen always lights up even when there is no notification? I get it, it's AOD, but I turned off the setting for Screen Always on yet it still is randomly lighting up.
Does anyone know how to turn it off?

I don't have Spotify, but I saw the Chinese characters when I tapped on the Widget for media playback in the Control Center and saw it there. I submitted a feedback for it too.
I've noticed a few minor bugs, but I don't know how to report them. In the feedback menu, when I submit a new log it asks me to restart the phone, and after the restart, the bugs don't happen again.
I have dark theme on from sunset to sunrise, and some days when I wake up, the dark theme remains on SwiftKey keyboard although dark mode is off in the system. But maybe this is a 3rd party app problem.
I also have eye confort active from 21:00 to 07:00 and sometimes when I wake up, and it's past 07:00, although the eye confort is off in the settings menu, yet the screen has that yellow tint.
Also that Wi-Fi calling quick settings tile reappears after a restart, although I have previously removed it.

Hi guys, it´s an hot summer .... Using your phone in the heat is not good for your device! Therefore the newer Android devices try to throttle down and ultimately shut down before your device get´s too hot and potentially damaged. Ever wondered about the live internal temperature of your device?
Most devices have a built-in battery temperature sensor, but no easy way to look at that temperature. There are some apps to read the battery temperature but i wanted something more comfortable and having this information in real-time in the quick settings / notification area ... Did not found any App which could do that, the way I wanted it, so I decided to write my own little App for that.
Did not release a public App for a while and did not plan to release this one too, but it came out quite useful for me and I had some sparetime, so I decided to release this one for the public ....

Possible to change the tile behavior that when you click on it, it opens the battery settings and not the Battery Saver settings?
This is now standard behavior for the BatterySaver tile. Before A13, it opened the battery settings.

Possible to change the tile behavior that when you click on it, it opens the battery settings and not the Battery Saver settings?
This is now standard behavior for the BatterySaver tile. Before A13, it opened the battery settings.

yeah, the battery saver settings seems to be the new standard behavior ... not sure if I could or should mess with that for compatibility reasons ... but it´s noted down as a request ... i will look into it

Thanks for the feedback! Could you explain what does not work? You are NOT on Android 13, right? So you have to add the tile manually... problems with that or does it not show battery % or temperature?

I have android 12, when clicked it shows like in screenshot and can't add manually (maybe I can't )

Glad it works on Samsung devices...they mess around a lot with the android standard functions...I wonder if the automatical adding will work on their A13 firmware ... feedback welcome
