Just watched all your videos about p20 pro. Well done, good job!
How is the cheap glass screen protector you've ordered from Amazon? Terms of quality, etc.
Thanks

Yes it is better than the preinstalled one, the only issue is compromising on which cases you can use
1) how do you remove the vibration from the notifications? I can not find any options to do it
2) moreover how do you manage the audio? in the sense if I want to raise or lower only the tone of the notifications can we? because it seems to me that the only way is to raise or lower the voice "ringtone" but so I can not keep the ringtone high for only calls and low for messages or notifications
3) if I remove the drawer and put standard (all apps on the home screen) is there a way to put each home screen in alphabetical order?
4) in the gallery there is a way to hide the pre-set folders called "all photos" "camera" "video" etc., it does me but only for the albums created by me and not from those that automatically creates the phone. .because if I delete them, it will also delete the files in the original albums created by me
Thank for who can help me

I think the device itself is a beast. Taking great pictures, your night mode pics showing it...However! One of the biggest weakness of the P20 Pro is the software itself.... There is a lot more in this device and Huawei needs better software management/Developers to bring out the real beast from this device!

[REVIEW] Huawei P20 Pro 1 Month Later

Huawei P20 Pro REVIEW - 1 Month Later, in this video I give you my good and bad experiences with the Huawei P20 Pro over the past 4 weeks of using it as my daily smartphone. With the Huawei P20 Pro, battery life will never limit you. It’s thanks to AI driven power management for maximum efficiency and Huawei SuperCharge, for fast refuelling.
Spoiler alert I am still using the P20 Pro as my daily driver
Just recently upgraded to p20 Pro but really not liking EMUI so was thinking of getting the OP6 128gb.
One concern is audio quality as I use Bluetooth headphones everyday, can anyone advise if the audio quality is any good.
I'm using the Sony MDR-X650BT headphones and have been happy with that. I don't profess that I'm some audiophile but it's clear, punchy with good bass and higher Max volume then my OnePlus 5 had before adjusting that with a custom Kernel and the headphones support apx not apxhd though. I'm waiting for a good Bluetooth 5.0 with apxhd without spending $400
I got the free Bose QC35ii with the p20 Pro so was disappointed they didn't support aptx but audio is still good. I'm really just not enjoying my experience with the p20 and have always wanted a OnePlus. Managed a hands on with one today and it's a nice device and I like the idea of stock-ish android.
How do you compare the camera?
I'm going crazy thinking the op6 pictures are clearer with better details?
Bluetooth on the op6 is better.
I've played around the op6 and own a p20 pro but I can't make a decision yet.
The camera is a hard one as sometimes I think the op6 takes much better photos with more details.
Where I'm from the p20p has volte and the op6 doesn't (carrier doesn't support op6)
I also dislike emui
Speakers on p20 pro is better however
The fluidity of the op6 is addictive.

Never got to really test the camera on op6, however i fine the p20 camera inconsistent and sometimes over processed especially when using AI. I have a DSLR so camera is not a deal-breaker for me.
Speakers are great on p20, and android experience on op6 is far better as is the screen.
Still can't make my mind up

Biggest deciding factor is volte
Is it worth ditching for the op6
Given that the camera can equal each other.
The p20 pro annoyingly over-softens everything.
I sold my huawei mate p10 pro to get the one plus 6 as i hated emui , i had a one plus 3t before the p10 and having gone back to the oneplus with the 6 i have no regrets, no the speaker quality is not as good but it is adequate and the camera takes excellent pictures but the os is awesome and so smooth. o2 stores have the oneplus 6 in stores why not pop in and try it out.
My Huawei P20 Pro went back for other reasons to do with unwanted branding but if anyone doesn't like Emui then Pixel.2.Launcher.modded.5.3.build.23.apk gives a pretty good impression of a Google user interface. I ended up getting a OP6. It does loads of audio codecs - AptX included. The Huawei have a software fault and you are stuck with one AAC codec..
The Launcher above works nicely on the OP6; I prefer it to the OP launcher.
I don't have a P20 Pro, but a P20. I used it for 1 week, and I was so disappointed with it, on the usability aspect.
Why do phone companies have to reinvent the wheel? Why there are duplicate apps such as calendar, calculator, etc. that Google already provides. Google apps, in my view have more features than the stock ones. True, oneplus has these duplicate apps as well, but they can be disabled. P20 doesn't let you disable Huawei made apps.
Secondly, P20's (EMUI) interface is no heavy and clunky. I am just not made for EMUI, and I would say the same Xiaomi's MIUI and other such skins... Touchwiz, LG. Hence, I returned my P20 and bought OP6. It was like returning back home (I had OP3T before).
But, back to the question on sound quality. I really like P20's audio quality via the speakers and BT headphones (Dolby), it is rich, is punchy, is clear and has descent base. Unfortunately, to my taste, OP6 has underperforming speakers, and a very average BT headphone output, even though it has APTX(HD). I miss the audio experience of P20.
I hope lineageos arrives soon for OP6; I will then install Viper4Android.
My wish is to have a fully functional lineageos/aosp for P20. But, I know it's a distant dream. Huawei will not let it happen. P20 has such an amazing hardware, but a very limited (and annoying) software experience. I don't think P20 will ever get Android P, although on papers it supports Project Treble.
The only phone that has near perfect hardware and software is Pixel, but then the asking price is sky high.
P20 Pro audio is pathetic while OP6 is much better. I use it with Sony WH-1000XM2 / LDAC and they play just fantastic with Tidal Hifi and Roon with high res files, altough those headphones play clearer over BT than on the cable.

Depth effect sucks on op6 i guess it needs a software update
The P20 Pro does have a IR blaster which i used to have fun with in shops but overall Oneplus6 is much better. I am just confused as most sites say oneplus 6 has no mobile HDR support but people in forums say youtube HDR is working
Hi !
I,m looking to replace my dying Lg G5. I,m thorn between the p30 and the p30 pro.
P30:
- less expensive (300$ less than nthe P30 pro)
- Headphone jack
- Smaller and more suited for my small hands.
P30 pro
- better zoom
- Better night mode
- IQ seems better because of the TOF lens.
The p30 pro has better specs and produce better results, but are those results 300$ better ? Not sure about it.
Up to you, only you know what YOUR priorities are. For me, the priority was to have a smaller and less expensive phone. I barely use the camera at all (I take maybe 3-5 photos a year). The P30 was the obvious choice for me. The 3.5mm headphone was also something that I use a lot, so it was another factor for me to consider.

I'm pretty sure the nightmode is the same on both phones. You get more zoom (which isn't that important to me) and wireless charging but you lose the headphone jack and get a (afaik) worse screen. I'd say the P30 is the better choice if you don't care about slightly better zoom and wireless charging. I recommend getting a case with it. It's really slippery and will move around on any surface that is even slightly uneven.
I asked myself the same question about a week ago, before I ended up buying the P30.
Key decision points:
- smaller size, yet still has a large enough screen to enjoy content
- 10x optical zoom is not worth the extra cash that could have flown me to another country where I can show off my new phone's imaging prowess
- 50x zoom is really just a gimmick and the resulting image is embarrassing to upload on social media
- did I mention it's significantly cheaper?
- battery life of the P30 will easily outlast even the S10 and S10e. It doesn't even need to try.
A lot of what was said above.
- Significantly cheaper.
- Smaller screen -> much easier to handle with one hand, plus no silly and useless curved edges that just distort colours.
- 3x zoom is already pretty darn good, even the 5x hybrid zoom produces great results. I see no need for the extra zoom reach of the P30 Pro unless you plan on completely replacing any "proper" digital cameras you have.
- Night mode shouldn't be different and the ToF lens has nothing to do with overall image quality - it's more of a gimmick if you ask me. Might be useful for AR stuff if you're into that.
- Headphone jack is nice to have, yeah, but I could do without it Never bugged me not to have one on my Moto Z.
Also consider they have basically the same computing power as they run on the same chipset. So no loss there either if you opt for the P30.

I almost forgot about this one. I really dislike curved screens and it's absolutely one of the advantages of the P30 over the Pro version.
I had both for a little while, I so wanted to like the P30 over the pro but Huawei just removed slightly too much IMO. I think that wireless charging was the clincher for me as it is something that I have just gotten so used to having.
Anybody looking for a slightly smaller and cheaper option to the P30 pro could do a lot worse than look at the Mate 20 pro.
I'm struggling with the same decision now
P30 Pro:
Better zoom (5x and above)
OIS so maybe better ability to focus. Sharper night mode
Better aperture on main camera
TOF (Just for Bokeh I think)
Wireless Charging
Curved glass makes phone "feel smaller"
Battery life
P30:
Smaller size
Better zoom (between 2X and 4X)
Headphone Jack
Cheaper
Now you can always get a headphone adapter or use bluetooth. You can also buy a wireless charging case. Therefore I find those pretty minor.
As for zoom, it depends what how often you'll use high zoom. If you think you'll use 3X alot, then the Pro has worse zoom. Even if you think you'll use 5X alot, the 5X from the 3X lens is still better then the 5X from a 1X lens. If you think you'll be taking photos of stuff far away alot, then the 5X may be better.
The Pro is only 2mm wider and less than 1mm thicker. With those curved edges, I'm not sure how much bigger it really feels when using it. Ofcourse its 9mm taller and 27g heavier so having it be comfortable in your pocket is another story.
So the way I look at it, is the possibly better photos from OIS/aperture and better battery life worth nearly double the cost?
Coming from a Sony Z5 compact, either will be better. Both will take getting use to since I am using such a small phone now. I've been heavily leaning towards the P30 but I keep thinking I should just get the Pro or even the S10+.
Hi to all ?
First of all I have P30 Pro, and last my 2 phones was Mate 20cand P20 Pro. Because thay all are great phones and great camera. So I search new phone with much better camera, don't get me wrong P30 Pro is best in the market for photography but not for video. So I'm searching something good for both. The only thing what can it be is Mate 30 Pro (that what was I aspect).
But in the beginning wierd thing is, they put just Ultra wide angle camera for videography. (this phone spouses to have best video camera, Huawei said that. Every day in every news you can read this). So they put in Mate 30 Pro special sensor for videography. That's sounds good, but results is not good at all. And they put the smallest "ultra wide angle camera in market for now"!!! Sorry DXO Mark, I can't agree with you this time.
I will post some videos down and I will like to hear your comments.
P. S. I know this is not final software on M30P, and I hope someone will make again new video comparison after final software.
1. Mate 30 Pro vs IPhone 11
2. Mate 30 Pro vs P30 Pro
After these videos I really don't know what to say... ? M30P is very good phone, but camera is even not better then P30 Pro.
I would wait until the phone has been released to the public to make allegations. It's hard when only peeps on YouTube have review devices.
I agree with you completely. I've been waiting for this phone to trade my P30 pro for 2 major reasons....the video quality and the damn color balance.
Unfortunately BOTH will not be addressed. Video quality looks on par with flagships now (especially considering with shooting at a much wider field of view) but at the sacrifice of ultra wide angle!! 18mm? seriously? People need ultra wide angle to capture MORE and they they reducing it from 16mm to 18 mm here!
Also the same sensor without color corrections means I'm stuck with the same color inconsistencies like on my P30 pro. White balance is a joke and 3/4 pics are different, skin tones all unnatural and heavy.
I was seriously planning on sourcing this but as you said, it is by no means king of Camera and far from DXO high horse ratings.
...and I still don't know why they never added auto HDR
The mate 30 pro released early than Huawei expected, most of those early reviews on YouTube are not final version, Dxomark had the latest close to final build installed, according to Huawei CEO thats not the final version, let see the future update... I'll say wait for P40 if you looking for camera big improvement that's what P series focused.
Actually, P series is always the master of camera. Then Mate series. if you want better camera, wait for p40 pro, want better quality and performance, buy mate 30 pro
i just watched the dxomark youtube mate 30 pro video. video quality was very high compare to youtubers . there was a compare in 5lux with note 10 plus. it was clear the winner was mate 30 pro. maybe it needs some patch to software. lets see the final product software then talk. Huawei claimed mate 30 pro it is best in video.

Video better after updates. Can't see choppines while panning left and right anymore
Agreed, video recording seems miles better than what I got from before. I've already had 4 system updates since unboxing the phone last week.

I ditched my P30 Pro for the Note 10 the moment they announced the Mate 30 Pro and confirmed that it will have an RYYB sensor.
The color science is god awful on this sensor, it's way inconsistent, and makes the skin of my kids look pale and dull. My Mate 20 Pro took much better pictures, with vibrant pleasing colors. The night mode on the P30 Pro was also useless, due to the RYYB sensor, the phone would try to correct the colors and 10/10 times, I'll have a green cast all over my pictures.
Even with Google play services, and a much cheaper price, I wouldn't have got this phone, no more RYYB sensors for me.

Nothing can beat the P30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro in complete darkness, but honestly, how many times do you take pictures in extremely dim areas? It was a fun trick to try the 1st few days after buying the P30 Pro, but then it was something that I barely used.

Yap, thats is it.
Is red tint problem(in low light) + light bulb artifact has been fixed?
Tint+Color shift+Artifact are problem since P30pro using RYYB.
I'm very confused why they still use RYYB If they can't fix it

You just posted 2 videos as evidence while ignoring alot of other videos out there. BiG bRaIn move right here.
-Green cast only ocurred if you used nightmode, the thing is you get the same result minus green cast with full automode.
-Color Science its way better than the Mate 20 pro.
Having owned both and since updates have arrived it's 100% better than all those phones.
Now I have both Mate 30 pro & Note 10+.. So far I noticed that the mate 30 pro doesn't have auto focus on front cam, my face gets blurry when I take a selfie at a distance of below 50cm from the phone. It sucks for me, or maybe bec I already get used with my Note 10+ which gives me more detail on selfie either close up or not. Why Huawei never fixed it since P30 Pro I think or even earlier.
I'm impressed with the 7680 frames per second in Slow motion video.
Very impressed with the overall photography and video capture of my M30P.
Weekly updates almost once every week on my CN M30P just make it better and better. I have a strong feeling it blows the stock firmware out of the water too.
i'm a heavy RAW photography shooter via the ultrawide lens , and from what i've researched im tempted to get a CC9 pro ~$370 USD and shoot computational RAWs with gcam with it. With this price range, there seems to be a huge explosion of "flagship killers" like the POCO F2 / X3, K30 Ultra, Realme X2/X7 etc. While all of these seem to have really competitive processors like the Dimensity 1000+ being almost equiv to SD865, none of them have as good cameras as the Mi note 10 especially the ultrawide.
It's VERY difficult to find any phone with a good sensor for the ultrawide, phone companies just dont seem to care. The only other one is Huawei Mate 30 pro but it doesnt support google pay and that's a deal breaker.
Is the CC9 Pro my best option...?
Thanks,
Hi, for this price range is for sure the best option. Other competitors better with ultrawide (bigger sensor/ better lens) would be probably closest as you mentioned Huawei Mate 30 Pro, P40 Pro, OP 8 Pro and newest samsung s20 series. Also Xiaomi M10 Ultra seems with same sensor, but updated lens design - providing less distortion and better details.
Do know, when you shoot RAW, gcam or stock cam does not provide distortion correction - so you have to do it afterwards in post-processing software. Love the output from gcam, can manage all preferences and detail, denoise etc. With adequate settings and provided very good light, it is really usable next to my DSLR in photoshoots (don't have wide angle lens). With little post production photos comes astonishing (especially from tripod and night sight astro setting). If you don't raise expectations too high - it won't disappoint!
