When I select text from the Samsung internet, Google Chrome, Samsung notes texts like that which you can select words I can copy without any problem, but I can't copy things that I can't select, for example if I'm on Instagram and I tap on the menu of a photo and select to copy the link it doesn't copy, if I go to a tweet and select to copy the link or the tweet itself I can't copy, so basically I can copy only the type of texts that I can select the words

Tried to flash thru home_csc but got stuck in the Samsung logo so I had to flash it with factory reset with normal Csc, after I was pissed and restored everything I figured what the problem is, when you root you lose the secret mode on Samsung internet but I discovered a line on build.pro that you can change to have it back "r.config.knox=v30" when you change to 00 you have to function back, but after did it tried to copy again and stopped working and when I changed back to v30 it was working again, so I guess I'll stay without the secret mode

I just installed the cyanogen 10 mod to my blaze and tried it. i went to this file manager that told me to reroot my phone so that I may be able to use it better. I went to odin to reroot it again but i accidentally used the original blaze.pit file on it and when it rebooted it showed me the original samsung starter instead of the cyanogen mod starter. That wasn't the problem, the problem was it never went in to the phones home screen or apps. Instead it continues to show the samsung logo and the flying android over and over again. I tried using the SGH-T769-hitsquad tar file to fix it (i need to mention that i bricked it once before and used this tar file to fix it) but it keeps taking me to the samsung logo. I can't even try to factory restore it because it just starts acting strange when I go to the menu. I can still go into download mode, i've gone searching for a file or anything to help me fix it but i can't find anything. Please, any suggestions?!
Here's a link to stock Tmo Blaze tar's from GB to ICS. ICS is the UVLH5 file. I suggest download that one.. then flash that file through odin.. dont include a Blaze pit file. just PDA file which is the one you'll download.
EDIT:

My phone (S3,CM11) randomly crashed and started bootlooping. Typically I just remove the battery, put it back in, and I'm good to go. This time however it didn't work. I'm able to get into recovery, after about 10 or so battery removals, but its clear CWM isn't how it used to be. I think it may be corrupt. The big give away is that the power button is no longer listed, or serves, as the 'enter' function. I can flash zips, and I tried re-installing the ROM, but the boot loops continue. I tried reinstalling my backup, but the MD5 sums didnt match. All solutions to fix that issue requires that I connect my phone to a computer and delete the MD5 sums, which I can't do since the phone wont boot. All my backups are poorly stored on the internal sdcard.
I'm hoping if I can re-install CWM in CWM, that I would be able to reinstall my ROM to a state I can turn the phone on. Is there another way to repair the boot file?
What are my options? Thanks!

OK.
Go look for philz touch recovery in the development section. Click on his main thread link and scroll down to the unified s3 builds, download and flash the latest one in recovery, or Odin flash the .tar file if you can't get into recovery.
Setup is almost the exact same as cwm just a few more features. Try to restore the backup as normal. If it still doesn't work, go into factory reset and select the "wipe before new rom option", then flash your rom immediately afterwards.
If that still doesn't work, dig around the settings until you find the option for ignoring md5 sum check, then it will definitely let you install the backup. Just understand that there's a risk associated with doing that. If something is corrupted it could theoretically hard brick your phone, but if everything is still OK and all your backups are giving you the same issue then everything is probably fine.

I appreciate the help, and the solution seemed like a homerun, but sadly things are worse. After successfully flashing the zip, the phone is now in a permanent bootloop trying to reach recovery. Now if I could only find a way to recover the data on the internal storage card.

Wow, after reading up on the symptoms, that sounds like my problem. It also explains why I couldn't use that button to execute commands in recovery. Unfortunately this puts me in a bad situation. Since I tried to factory reset, and it crashed, I'm worried my install is corrupt now. I do have a backup from before the reset, but its labeled 01-01-1970. Surely that can't be good.
All I want to save at this point are my photos (some of which are more recent than my August backup). Would it be safe to restore my August backup and advanced restore the data from my most recent backup (01-01-1970)? Even if it's buggy, as long as I can transfer my photos to my external card I'd be happy. Thanks!

CWM doesn't input the proper date when you make backups. It has always defaulted to 1970 on the S3. TWRP does and I believe PhilZ recovery does as well allow you to post the proper date. Just make sure you have a total of 1+ GB file in your CWM folder. If you can pull that folder onto your computer (if its on an sd card) just right click the folder and check the date when it was created.
Edit: and as @BadUsername wrote, youtube videos may help out. I had a stuck power button and this clip helped me. It has been almost 11 months since I did this and I have been fine.

Idk if you want to try since none of the other backups worked. How many total CWM backups do you have? Is there an accompanying "BLOBS" folder as well? Or did they get rid of that too or are CWM backups now self contained? Over a year ago, there was a Blobs folder and folder of your backups.

I have two. One marked 8-8-2014 and one 1-1-1970 (newest). I haven't looked at how they are stored in a while, but I remember it was multiple folders within folders taking up almost 2 gigs of space. As I stated, at this point if I could salvage my photos that would be enough.

I think the backup is still good, you can probably salvage photos pretty easily with ADB if you have USB debugging enabled. I still think that fixing your power button will fix your problems and you'll be able to restore a backup.

I actually just checked my backups, I'm using philz latest but my backup has the correct date and I didn't have to manually input the date from within philz settings. There is also no more blobs folder. I think recently cwm redid their entire backup system, it's definitely different than it used to be. Has to be a fairly recent change though.

i dont have experience with your specific device, but yes, it almost as simple as that. thats part of the purpose of twrp is to flash stuff.
the very first thing you want to do is, go to the backup tab and backup all the options.
then, leave that backup on your phone, but save a copy to your pc, for safe keeping, in case you accidentally delete the one on the phone.
after that go to the wipe/advanced tab
note- this step will wipe your data and is manditory, if you have any data you dont want to loose, stop now and back it up before proceeding
select cache, dalvic cache, system, and data ONLY, then swipe to wipe
next go back to home screen and select install, find your rom, select it, and swipe to install
next, reboot and wait for it to boot up.
if for whatever reason it wont boot or is broken,
go back in twrp and wipe the same things as above
then go to the restore tab, and restore the backup you made earlier
then reboot, and it should be back to the way it was.
this will have your phone working while you figure out why the rom didnt work.

Yes, it probably will. If you are that worried about it, backup your data first. Odin will work even with the bootloader locked. Locked bootloader does not prevent you from loading official firmware.

I extract and I get several files? None of them being .tar files. Does anyone have the 4 files to flash in odin? Am I the only one who didn't get the 4 files mentioned when extracting the Md5? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nobody?

You have to go in odin and select PDA and then add the entire md5 file! If you don't want to do it that way, then you have to download a zipping app like 7z or similar and create the .tar yourself.. Which is pointless unless you're planning on flashing 1 file like the boot.img for a reason or other.. The md5 file has all of the files that need to be flashed there's no need to unzip the files. Just flash as is!
If you're downloading from the OP then you need to unzip the file from the .zip because you can only flash .md5 or .tar.

Thanks. I have issue of my note saying "searching for signal" with full bars until i make a call. I dont think flashing the full file in Ap reset my modem to stock.

Try flashing a modem only file then which is for that signal.. Also boot into recovery using the 3 button combo and clear your Cache after a flash..

I've cleared it after flash and no fix. Does anyone have a modem file I could use. Does it have to be from the same firmware version? Sorry just not really experienced just need to fix this phone it's killing me. I got it off Craigslist don't know the history of it I just know that flashing a fresh stock rom didn't fix the issue.

Is it an actual Verizon phone? And do you know for sure that it's Verizon? Go into settings then about phone and tell me what model it says. If it says other than SM-N920V then it's not a Verizon one.. You can only flash firmware for a specific carrier.. Also check the APN settings too.. And about the modem no you don't have to use the same exact one from the same firmware version you can try a different one however I don't think that'll fix the problem.. Try checking the APN settings first.. Also if you just dropped a sim card into it without first giving Verizon the IMEI then it's not gonna work! You'll have to give them the IMEI and if the IMEI is bad the phone will never work at least not with Verizon.

It is indeed n920v clean imei through verizon prepaid. It gets apn through SIM card which is accurate I have signal T all times and internet/mms work. However when I boot my phone or randomly every so often it will say 'searching for service' throughout the day while still full having signal. During this time I don't receive calls/messages/internet notifications and it is stuck that way until I notice it and dial my voicemail which it then displays "Verizon wireless" and then all notifications come through.

Maybe try using this downgraded version from my Android File Host and flash it using odin but before flashing take the sim card out and after it's done flashing immediately do a factory reset by holding the power and volume down button and after the screen turns off and then back on select shut down and then boot into recovery and do the factory reset after it's finished put the sim card back in then turn it on and go through all the setup and see if it works.. Let the phone charge some first don't try doing this at 3% battery cause if it shuts down in the middle it can brick the phone. Not likely but it could.

I've never flashed a cellphone and I don't even know if I can flash this one. I bought the phone through and when I was still with Sprint. I was told flashing it might be tricky if not impossible since I bought it through a carrier and was also told to come here and ask. So that's what I am doing. Thanks for any help!
Even you haven't said what you want to flash and why (mean what you want to achieve with flashing)

As above, what do you want to achieve by flashing it, and what do you want to flash to it?

I'm sorry. It was a little late at night and I was trying to put the child down for sleep and was in a hurry. But I'm looking to just flash a stock ROM to get the vendors (Sprint) pre-installed apps off the phone. So I'm not looking to do anything to fancy.
Try flashing non vendor specific rom. But before that simply keep copy of rom which is installed currently, so in case something went wrong, you can restore it.
You can download stock firmware with friza or Sam firmware tool (little search over xda you can find it)
Okay, so I used Frija to get the file and now I'm using Odin to flash it. I have the BL, Ap, Cp, CSC, and USERDATA files. Only issue I have is I have two CSC files and I'm not sure which one to use? One is called HOME_CSC_OMC_OYN_N986UOYN1DUB5_CL20936746_QB38027387_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 and the other is CSC_OMC_OYN_N986UOYN1DUB5_CL20936746_QB38027387_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5. I want to say it's the second one I mentioned but I want to make sure.
Home_CSC* won't delete your data while CSC_* will do.

What data is the Home file saving? Also what's the USERDATA file?
All other data that you have addled other than factory set.
Some apps install as non system, that known as userdata
Okay, Odin said it passed and my phone restarted to a Android Recovery section giving me a ton of options and now I'm nervous... The options are.
Reboot system now
Reboot to bootloader
Apply update from ADB
Apply update from SD card
Wipe data/factory rest
Wipe cache partition
Mount /system
View recovery logs
Run graphics test
Run locale test
Power off
Repair apps
Do I just want to reboot it?
Okay so I restarted it and the phone works, but everything is still the same. If I do a factory restore will that remove Sprint's apps? Or should I redo the process without adding the CSC and USERDATA files?
Sorry for bumping this but does anybody know the answer to my question?

From what I remember once you flash an unlocked firmware (ie. Not carrier branded) you need to factory reset to remove the carrier stuff from the old firmware
But don't quote me on it, just what I remember reading from others threads, I've not had to try it myself

Sounds good. I'll try it when I get home later and am more prepared and report back. Thanks for the help so far everyone!

You can kill 2 birds by using CSC instead of HOME_CSC when you flash the firmware, that initiates a factory reset after the flash (ie. Clean install)

Actually I might just do that then tonight.
Unfortunately, it didn't work... Not sure if I did something wrong but Sprint's app's are still on there.

Which ROM you have downloaded?
If you are flashing same sprint then it will always remain there. Make sure you are flashing unbranded firmware.
