i dont have experience with your specific device, but yes, it almost as simple as that. thats part of the purpose of twrp is to flash stuff.
the very first thing you want to do is, go to the backup tab and backup all the options.
then, leave that backup on your phone, but save a copy to your pc, for safe keeping, in case you accidentally delete the one on the phone.
after that go to the wipe/advanced tab
note- this step will wipe your data and is manditory, if you have any data you dont want to loose, stop now and back it up before proceeding
select cache, dalvic cache, system, and data ONLY, then swipe to wipe
next go back to home screen and select install, find your rom, select it, and swipe to install
next, reboot and wait for it to boot up.
if for whatever reason it wont boot or is broken,
go back in twrp and wipe the same things as above
then go to the restore tab, and restore the backup you made earlier
then reboot, and it should be back to the way it was.
this will have your phone working while you figure out why the rom didnt work.

How can I see IF the change is made?

Sorry but I have pretty much erased everything on the phone, because I came to that state .. I rather throw my phone in to the wall or press on every button there is...
So here we are now, All I can do is install from USB I guess, but when I´am trying that, it only says error.
adb sideload *something*

there is a sticky in the themes section with the original file.

[Q] Is rebooting Android the same as a P.C.?

I know when you reboot a p.c. you dont lose any setting . I get the feeling that is not the case with Android. Can someone confirm?
Thanks and sorry for the noob question.

of course you dont 'lose settings' by rebooting.
what exactly makes you think it would work otherwise?

Well it seems from stuff that I have read, that a reboot is often compared to a factory reset?
It did not make sense that a reboot would wipe the setting, but I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks!

i dont know what you have been reading, but a factory reset is definitely not equal to rebooting the phone.
+1 all you settings remain intact when u reboot the device. Think about how much of a pita it would be if it did not. No one would buy an android device, and if it could not save you settings data then also your Apps would be lost upon each boot. Thanks AGAIN Silver! I have had an Android for all of three weeks, but if it were any Win

I had read on a few sites that a reset would clear all of your personal info and any d/l s/w?
My next step is to root the phone. It's too bad that you can't just boot from a back up if you mess up, and just reinstall the whole O/S...but from what I can tell, you can't just get a virgin copy of the Android O/S.?
Well in this thread it is the virgin copy of our factory firmware. If u ever mess up u can use Odin in this thread to flashing back to stock.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342348
But also u can make backups that restore every thing before u messed up which will fix ya in most situations. Its called a nandroid backup. Once u root boot into cwm recovery, and click back up restore then select backup. Now anytime u want to go back to how your phone was when u made that back up u just ...boot into cwm click backup restore select restore and choose that restore point..... its just like the system backup/ restore in windows

Nandroid requires root, right? I guess that's why some are nervous when delving into new territory..like me.
Yeah u need to be rooted and have cwm recovery. You do the nandroid backup/restore in cwm recovery

[Q] I used Root uninstaller to remove bloatware, but the apps are still lingering.

I semi-bricked my Optimus One earlier today, but fixed it via KDZ and the India rom fix..
Re-rooted..
and used Root Uninstaller to remove the Bollywood bloatware like I did before..
only this time, all the apps I uninstalled, are still showing in my installed list, but with the "SD card" icon..
they're NOT on the card, I made sure of that..
but idk where to find them in the filesystem..
they're taking up space that I don't really have, y'know.
how would I go about remedying this?
(I'll post a screenshot later, when the site will let me.)

It's possible that your root didn't take or the system partition didn't get remounted RW. System Apps reside in /system/app . User apps reside in /data/app .
The root did take, I confirmed that.
and the files are not in those locations..
heres the screenshot of what one looks like in app list..

I'm at a loss then. I've never experienced the issue you are facing. You rebooted after removing those apps? Are you using some kind of *2SD script?
Yup, I rebooted.
no, I'm not using any scripts or anything..
The only thing I have my phone doing that it "shouldn't" is the root.
am I going to have to re-flash it, and try to remove them again?
Also, the apps in question are not in the list when I go through Root Uninstaller again.
I'm guessing there's something better than RU, but I just don't know what it is yet xD

Possibly as a last resort. Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so, try wiping cache and Dalvik cache and then reboot. The reboot will take a few minutes as Android will need to rebuild the caches.

I can understand that. Did you use ROM Manager to try and install recovery? I've written a tool for Windows that can flash recoveries via fastboot and fastboot mode. If you're interested, it's called Android Flash Recovery and a link to it's thread can be found in my signature.

What version of Android is on your device? 2.2 is Froyo which is old baseband. 2.3 is GingerBread which is new baseband.
Download my tool. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on the device. Complete instructions are in the download archive. It's up to you tho.
I have used Root Uninstaller for 11/2 years on my Optimus V. The Uninstaller doesn't work that well.
I just use it because it auto saves all downloaded apk's, every version. I have to manually delete any saved versions.
Great when an update to an app is borked, or too slow of a data connection to re-install Titanium Backup after a ROM flash (I go to folder on SD card and move TB apk to root of SD card, then install).
Try using Link2SD
It has worked flawlessly to delete any unwanted pre-installed apps from ROM developers and Google Apps.

fastboot is a little weird. Boot device into fastboot mode, but not connected to PC. Then connect to PC after getting into fastboot mode.
I think I've seen something like that before. I think it's when the APK is gone but the cache, dalvik etc for the app is still there.
If you haven't yet done anything hardcore to your phone. EG: Reflashing.
And can still boot into your ROM then you might wanna give Clean Master a go.
It's here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
It's got a Residual Files cleaner which might get rid of the files that are causing your problems

Yeah, the driver from LG.
Go Here.
Scroll down to Manuals & Download, Software Update tab and then "Install the USB DRIVER"
Just get the driver, don't worry about the LG Mobile Support Tool. That's for updating the stock ROM.
Officially but there are no official updates since GB.

Internal Storage seems gone

Hey, i have oneplus 6.I have unlocked the bootloader,i have stock rom and my phone was rooted with magisk. Few days ago i unrooted my phone, clicked uninstall in magisk and it started unrooting. Then if it was done i clicked reboot and after that my phone was only able to boot into twrp. It couldnt boot into ROM.Nothing on the internet helped,so i flashed my stock ROM again (i was on my stock rom already) from flash drive. It went well and my phone booted up. But since that my phone doesn't show internal storage. In file manager it shows 10/128 GB used, but if i try to look into my storage it doesnt show anything. Also if i try to take photos, it cant, and i also cant download and update several apps in play store.
Can somebody help me? Can somebody explain what happened?Does somebody know how to fix it if its even possible?
Ty for help :')

Hi kimmix, and thx trying to help. I havent done the factory reset yet, but i want to say that my phone doesnt have root either twrp anymore. Unlocked bootloader is ofc still there. Do i need to do factory reset from phone settings then(settings/system/recovery and resets/factory reset), somehow from my stock recovery or i need to put twrp again to my phone (from pc)?
This happened me a day or two ago.
Drove me really crazy, tried bunch of stuff flashing full zips over and over. Nothing fixed it.
Then inside twrp I used fix contents button (if I recall correctly it should be under advanced menu)
And that totally solved my problem, It should solve yours too.
Before factory resetting boot twrp via fastboot and try.
Hope this helps because that gave me some sleepless nights.

Tried to update, now stuck. Failed to mount data

Is someone able to help me? I messed up in a big way. Long story short, I cannot seem to get the DATA partition back on my phone. I did read the part about encryption but was so excited I (Yes, confirmed dummy) was thinking that it meant android encryption and not simply lockscreen/password.
My passcode is correct, but the data is corrupted. I cannot repair the Data partition, nor can select it in TWRP. My computer no longer recognizes the phone. My backup somewhat works but not really, since the data part of the backup can't be installed.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I read the entire thread and thought I was prepared but nope. Or do I need to go phone shopping?
