Sir, I have a Redmi Note 4 device, two years old. I'm having some hardware issues with it like power button doesn't work anymore, one of the speakers is not working.
The phone has switched off couple of times, but I managed to turn it on with pressing a specific part of the power button. This time, it's not working.
I surfed on the Internet and found a solution by using FASTBOOT mode. I did as instructed -
I pressed the volume down button and plugged the USB cable of my phone to my PC.
The fast boot mode showed up and now, whatever i try, it' s stuck there.
Please sir, need you help ASAP.
Regards,
A noob.

my nexus s was working fine with Android 4.0.4
a couple days back its power button stopped working. and when I re-insert the battery, it boots automatically.
now I am not able to boot it fastboot mode. I used sabra toolkit to root it, but doesn't respond in fastboot mode.
yesterday its battery was down. Now when I plugged the USB then it keeps on rebooting every 10-15 seconds.
Please help ...
You will have to send it for repair to fix the power button, it being broke will make the volume buttons not function in fastboot mode aswell.
As for the battery you might have to buy a new one.

A friend of mine tried to root his S8+ from T-Mobile while following random instructions on the Internet and got his phone into this weird boot screen, which I must say I have never seen before.
Note: I have tried many times to enter to download mode by using the power button, bixy, vol- combination to no avail. When I turn the phone off and plug it in into the computer it gets recognized as QUSB_BULK.

I was wondering if any of you have had similar experiencies or perhaps even help me find a solution. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
This isn't anything out of the norm and has been covered more times to count. Get back into Download mode and finish the process.
Thank you for your answer and thank you for pointing out that I should have said that I've tried countless times to enter download mode by pressing vol- + power button and then power + vol- + bixby to no avail.
The only way to get the phone to boot into something is to press all buttons together while waiting around 10 seconds which, gets me to the screen in the picture.
Is there another way to enter download mode apart from using the regular bixy + vol - + power button combination?
hold down vol- and power only. when it resets, immediately keep trying bixby vol- and power. also if the phone is in a case take it out.
i think you have a fake s8+
It doesn't work, it gets detected as QUSB_BULK every time, only if I press all buttons does it give me a screen which is the one posted.
This is a genuine S8+ from T-mobile, I've made sure of it!
This happened to me
This is the worst, after giving up thinking my phone was bricked I just let it run out of battery. After it was dead i held volume down + power + bixby while plugging in a charger and to my suprise it went into download mode. I tried again and again to confirm it worked and it worked every time. So you just have to wait till the phones completely dead, and hold those 3 buttons while plugging it in to a charger.
Thank you for your answer, I did try that but it didn't work for me... no download mode, just that upload mode - unknown error...
I have the same issue plz help
Yup I've seen that same screen you're referring to on my S8+ Tmobile. It's tricky but you can make it work. Change the way you try to hold that combination of buttons. As previous answers mentioned, you have to be quick.
Here is what worked for me:
I plugged the phone into the computer, using the original USB cable.
Hold "PWR"+"BXB"+"VOLUP" until you see the phone's screen blacking out completely. Then IMMEDIATELY hold "PWR"+"VOLDN" and keep holding. That should put you back into Download Mode.
Again, it'a bit tricky so keep trying and checking your technique but you should eventually get it.
I've seen that issue before where no button combination gets you out the QUSB_BULK mode. I'm afraid it's a corrupted bootloader (aboot), which can only be fixed using a special "Dead-Boot" package, which uses a QComm low level loader (not download mode). You can search for it, but it's pretty hard to get since it's specifically written for each model. Here's a package available on a pay site https://combinefile.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=32731
Hello everyone
Please help me
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633 with Android 4.4.4
Firmware is D6633_23.0.F.1.74_CE
I tried to install TWRP on my phone using this tutorial
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/root-stock-kernel-twrp-v01-test-28-09-t2889794?__utma=248941774.950623471.1412017766.1412017766.1412017766.1&__utmb=248941774.1.10.1412017766&__utmc=248941774&__utmx=-&__utmz=248941774.1412017766.1.1.utmcsr=l.facebook.com%7Cutmccn=(referral)%7Cutmcmd=referral%7Cutmcct=/lsr.php&__utmv=-&__utmk=228295838
Since the links in the thread are down it was hard for me to get the bootZ3dualmonxtest01.img file
But after an hour of googleing finally I got it from another Android forum https://mdforum.ru/showthread.php?t=16534
Then, as mentioned in the tutorial I went into bootloader / fastboot mode and entered following command
fastboot flash boot bootZ3dualmonxtest01.img
But it didn't work. Now my phone is bricked. It's powered off and I can't turn it on again
It doesn't respond to anything
Pressing Powerbutton - Nothing
Pressing Power + Volume Up/Down - Nothing
Hold Volume down and connect to PC - Nothing
Connect to 230V Adapter for charging - Nothing
ADB doesn't recognize the phone
Flashtool responds "Device disconnected"
So I can't flash back stock ROM
Please help me out. What went wrong? How can I fix it? Is it repairable or is my phone hard bricked?
Thank you for your answers
Edit:
After several hours of googleing and trying I found a solution that worked for me
Great thanks to StuartjG who posted the steps in this thread

My Z3 would not power up and no charge LED when cable plugged in. Finally found this solution on Sonymobile support website which fixed my phone!
To force the device to restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") until the device has emitted three vibrations, and then release the OFF button. The device turns off automatically.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
If a forced restart procedure as described above doesn't succeed in turning on your device, you should try another kind of forced restart - the 2-minute restart procedure.
To force a 2-minute restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") for 120 seconds (ignoring any vibrations), and then release the OFF button.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
I had to hold the 'off' button for about 60 seconds before the phone vibrated and sprung into life - phew!

In my case there were no vibrations. I just held the button down for 120sec and it worked. Then I was able to flash back stock ROM
I have had my OPO for about 4 years and am currently running Lineage 18.1 with no issues. However the Power button on the phone stopped working and will not do anything. I inadvertently put it in Fastboot and cannot get out of Fastboot and reboot to normal. I have tried adb to see if I could do a reboot there but it is not detecting any devices. Before this incident the phone was unlocked, in developer mode with usb debugging set. Is there some other sequence to try. I have tried vol down and plug in usb, and vol up and plug in usb, and held vol up and down and plug in usb but none have worked. Any suggestions please.
Update: I just got Fastboot on the PC to reboot the phone. Yea. The Power button is shot. It has been in a case for years and I hardly ever use the Power button anymore. Don't know why it has failed, no abuse, maybe lack of use. Thanks anyway.
If I take the button out, does anyone know if the inner switch could be pressed with something to turn it on and off. I assume there would be somethin like that although I have not been inside one of these before. If I ever lose power on the phone I will not be able to turn it back on without the power button/switch.
Hi, I have a One Plus 8T that won't turn on, won't charge, won't get into recovery mode, the screen remains black, won't vibrate on changing ringing mode either and gets recognized as QUSB_BULK_CID:xxxx_SN:xxxxxxxx when connected to the laptop. Phone was in my hand and in a perfectly good condition when it happened. I tried all the physical keys and their combinations many times. Is there any solution to this?

You're in EDL mode. Hold power button and volume up button until it reboots. Then see where you are. However, you may need to use this tool to flash back to stock - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4180837/

one thing i want to add here is when phone is conected to a laptop and i press Vol Up + Power key, i hear a beep on laptop (may be it does the reboot) but screen remains black. I dont think the issue is with the disoplay.
Then you will need to use the msm tool. Your phone seems to boot into EDL mode just fine. Follow the instructions in that link.
