[SOLVED] Tried to install TWRP and bricked my phone - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone
Please help me
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633 with Android 4.4.4
Firmware is D6633_23.0.F.1.74_CE
I tried to install TWRP on my phone using this tutorial
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/root-stock-kernel-twrp-v01-test-28-09-t2889794?__utma=248941774.950623471.1412017766.1412017766.1412017766.1&__utmb=248941774.1.10.1412017766&__utmc=248941774&__utmx=-&__utmz=248941774.1412017766.1.1.utmcsr=l.facebook.com%7Cutmccn=(referral)%7Cutmcmd=referral%7Cutmcct=/lsr.php&__utmv=-&__utmk=228295838
Since the links in the thread are down it was hard for me to get the bootZ3dualmonxtest01.img file
But after an hour of googleing finally I got it from another Android forum https://mdforum.ru/showthread.php?t=16534
Then, as mentioned in the tutorial I went into bootloader / fastboot mode and entered following command
fastboot flash boot bootZ3dualmonxtest01.img
But it didn't work. Now my phone is bricked. It's powered off and I can't turn it on again
It doesn't respond to anything
Pressing Powerbutton - Nothing
Pressing Power + Volume Up/Down - Nothing
Hold Volume down and connect to PC - Nothing
Connect to 230V Adapter for charging - Nothing
ADB doesn't recognize the phone
Flashtool responds "Device disconnected"
So I can't flash back stock ROM
Please help me out. What went wrong? How can I fix it? Is it repairable or is my phone hard bricked?
Thank you for your answers

Edit:
After several hours of googleing and trying I found a solution that worked for me
Great thanks to StuartjG who posted the steps in this thread

My Z3 would not power up and no charge LED when cable plugged in. Finally found this solution on Sonymobile support website which fixed my phone!
To force the device to restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") until the device has emitted three vibrations, and then release the OFF button. The device turns off automatically.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
If a forced restart procedure as described above doesn't succeed in turning on your device, you should try another kind of forced restart - the 2-minute restart procedure.
To force a 2-minute restart
Detach the SIM card slot cover.
Using the tip of a pen or similar object, press and hold down the small OFF button (generally indicated by the text "OFF") for 120 seconds (ignoring any vibrations), and then release the OFF button.
Charge the device until a charging icon appears on the screen.
Turn on your Xperia™ device.
I had to hold the 'off' button for about 60 seconds before the phone vibrated and sprung into life - phew!

In my case there were no vibrations. I just held the button down for 120sec and it worked. Then I was able to flash back stock ROM

[Q] Please help my sony won't boot up

I'm using sony xperia V and after flashing a cyanogenmod rom which installed perfectly, until I select reboot and the screen
turns black and no matter which button combination or whatsoever I can't boot up.
The only things that happen is:
if unplugged, pressing the power button will vibrate the phone and green LED flash for a second
if plugged into computer the green LED flashes for a long time. Holding the volume+ button before plugging in will flash a blue LED light for some time
Both plugged and unplugged, the screen shows nothing at all, which means can't enter recovery mode, safe mode or download mode.
Is there anyway I can solve this? Or I can only buy a new phone or act dumb at the sony store.
Thanks in advance and sorry for any trouble
[Edit]I finally found a way to solve this problem after hours of frustration. Thanks to this amazing website which I couldn't post it here due to being a new member, which I could say it's from a website named androidgadgetmatic, really turned a completely useless brick into a perfectly working phone again. The only problem left (which happened before bricked) is that my phone couldn't read or even find SD card, any help in this area guys?

[Completed] Sony Xperia Tablet S SGPT1211 not responding to reset/power comands

Hello,
I think I might be at the end of the road with my tablet. I've never rooted it or tampered with it in an way, however yesterday it locked up so I did the usual soft reset (hold power and vol+ for 10 seconds) I then turned it back on and the sony logo popped up, but there it just hung. If I press and hold the power button it switches off, a brief press on the power button brings it back on in the same state. So I go Googling, including looking at threads on this site, all seemed to advise to try to get the Android recovery menu up. on the Sony this is done by holding the power and vol+ and then releasing the power button (only) when the son logo appears (this process to be started when the tablet is off) so I did this, and no response at all. Worse than that, where it would turn on and instantly hang, it now doesn't turn on at all. Hooking it up to my PC I can see the device in device manager, but it tells me my usb device has malfunctioned.
At the moment, my thoughts are to open it up, to:
1. Check that the power/volume buttons aren't stuck in some way (preventing the boot command being given correctly)
2. Remove and resolder if necessary internal battery to force a power cycle.
3. Bin it and get something new (it is 2.5yrs old so no big loss i suppose)
Any ideas where to look or similar experiences?
Thanks

Good day !

G Pro 2 ... Wrong Flashing. Pls Help.

I have a Lg G Pro 2. Few days back it got bricked by its own( a crazy fact). That time it was showing QHSUSB_BULK. I figured it out as 9006. Took the phone to a local service shop. Today I got it back and found that nothing had happened to the phone, except worse. Now it is not detected by PC, only green light blinks for some time if tried to power on. And then everything is black and cold as death.
I think it have been flashed with wrong ROM. Anybody here can guide me with the test points of Lg G Pro 2 (D838 F350) ? So that I can force it to QHSUSB_BULK ? Or any step by step advice to get it up ?
I am in real need of assistance, and thanks in advance for any sort of help. Best Regards.
I would like to mention that the phone indicator blinks for sometime if I try to power it on, as it does on boot, but nothing else is there. No recognition by PC, no presence in Device Manager. Blinks for sometime, stops, again starts blinking... and this goes on at regular short intervals. The area around the camera gets warm after sometime. Everything loops till I pull off battery.
Now, am I missing something ? Is the problem not as deadly as I am thinking ? Is it soft bricked ?
Hi, I not sure how it got bricked I never brick LG device.
Normally if anything happen we try pull battery out and put it back in, try then to turn the phone on.
Have you try connect to to pc with USB cable, one end of USB connnect to pc and other end connect to the phone. Then try press Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down, this is to try to get into phone download mode. If you can get into download mode you can flash the kdz file to make it useable again.
Or without the USB cable we want to get to factory reset mode by use hardware method try press:
- Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down
- If you see LG logo come up release the buttons you press above 1-2 second
- Press again Power + Volume Up or Power + Volume down
- Until it show and ask to use volume up/down button to select choice, say yes
Caution factory reset will delete all data on the phone and reset it as when you bought it new.
- Again it will ask for factory reset, use Volume up/down to choose and select yes for factory reset
turn on the phone and when light is blink press volume up or down button for some time and see if it it is detected as usbhulq?

Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro (SK17i) stuck in Boot Loop, can't connect to PC

Hi,
I hope this is the right place for my help request.
I don't have any experience with rooting, unlocking or any of that stuff, but I have a bit of background in Android app development.
So I have been using this Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro (SK17i) for years, because it is small and has a hardware keyboard.
It has Android 4 installed with no modifications whatsoever.
A few days ago the battery went completly dry (0%) and the phone turned itself off. If I remember correctly I was using it to play music via bluetooth when it turned off.
After that (and a bit of charging plugged into the wall) I tried to turn it on again, but ever since it is stuck in this boot loop where it turns on, shows the basic white on black Sony logo for a few seconds, shows the animated Xperia logo for maybe a minute or so and then reboots!
I have no idea what actually caused this or how to fix it. I didn't use the phone for any modding/flashing/unlocking or stuff like that ever.
I can't even properly connect it to my PC (Windows 7 64-bit) anymore. The timeframe where it is turned on (during the Xperia logo) doesn't seem to be long enough for the drivers or PC Companion software to detect it.
Taking out the battery or SD card didn't change anything about the rebooting behavior.
The only thing I could do (after some research, I really have no idea about this stuff) was put it into this "fastboot" mode by holding volume+ down while plugging into the PC. Then front LED went blue and I could see the device listed after executing "fastboot devices".
But I don't seem to be able to do anything else with fastboot (like flashing a CWM recovery image, which I have no knowledge of either...) because the device is not rooted.
I have the Android SDK / Android Studio installed if that helps.
So any ideas about this situation?
I really want to keep using this phone, and I also have some important personal data on it that I don't want to lose.
Any help would be greatly apreciated!
Thank you.
Sorry for the double post!
Ok, so I have just read about this "recovery mode" thing, but I am unable to enter it!
According to most guides (like this: http://www.hardreset.info/devices/sony-ericsson/sony-ericsson-xperia-mini-pro-sk17i/recovery-mode/ ) I should turn the phone completly off, then hold volume down (-) and power on simultaneously until the device enters recovery mode. But it doesn't! It just keeps booting normally!
What should I do?
Thanks.

a few years later but I had to bring back to life my old Mini Pro.
To boot in Recovery Mode I've had to remove the SD card and it worked with Volume Down+Power key. With the card inserted it didn't work.
I LOVE this little keyboard!

D2206 bootloop, side buttons doesn't work

D2206. Got into a bootloop (the phone only shows the Sony and Xperia logo but ain't starting the system and just restarting forever doing it again and again). Can't get into Fastboot mode because volume buttons and power button isn't reacting at all. The only solution to force it to show some traces of life is plug him to PC or to a charging device but nothing happens except the charging lightning animation appears. And after connecting to PC, it seems like Flashtool recognize him, but nothing can be done because of the periodic 5-7 second interval disconnects.
Any solutions or tips?
You need to power off before connecting. Here's how.
I don't know if you figured this out or still need the help now, but I'm answering because it's the one thing here that I do know the answer to.
From your description, it sounds like you are trying to connect your phone to PC while the phone is still in boot loop. This will not work. You need to power it off first. Since your power and volume buttons won't respond during boot loop, you will need to use the hardware override that is provided.
Under the back panel of your phone, between the SIM2 and microSD slots, you will see a small punch-hole about 2 mm in diameter and labelled "OFF." Use a pen or precision screwdriver to gently press the off switch located inside this punch-hole for about 1 sec. Phone should switch off.
Wait about 15 sec before connecting to PC in Flash (Vol Up pressed down) or Fastboot (Vol Down pressed down) mode until the LED flashes the respective colour and then you can follow whatever instructions you are following.
