Wondering how is your battery life, I'm 5:30 hours for 54% of battery(75% - 21%)
I max charge it to 75% and usually I don't drain it less than 25% - To achieve the best battery life long term, so I won't need replacement anytime soon. Also I don't fast charge, usually 1A charging or similar(e.g. Wireless charging 7.5W)
Obviously I use underclocking to the point I don't fee any difference in daily usage
Share your thoughts, for 0-100% I bet I can do more than 7:30 SOT

Lol mate you're more like 5:30 min after 75-25 twice.
Such a bad battery life usually happens after using mokee as they change low lever instructions in the processor.
What happens is that the processor microcode is changed such that instead of power being managed by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it’s actually now managed by the modial interaction of adreno-reluctance and capacitive directance of the cores. You can not change that any more as it was a change on hardware level microconductions that can not be reverted.

50%(75-25% usage) of battery gives me 5:30 SOT hours and it's bad?
You troll right? this is only achieved with underclocking, at 100% you should expect more than 7:30 and maybe 8 hours! what about you?
P.S. Give me your SOT 75-25% and if it's more than 5:30 SOT I'll send you my phone for free - Bet you can't even do 6 hours SOT with full battery
just look at the screenshot you provided yourself, the battery graph clearly shows you charged your phone after you hit 25% the first time to 75% and let it run down to 21% again. battery (and sot) stats won't reset until you charge over 90%, so your reading of 5.5 hours of sot is actually 2 instances of your habitual 75-25% drain. in reality you are only getting about half that for 50% use (~2h 45min sot), which I'd say isn't too bad, but maybe you should do a full 100% to 0% use once and see how the battery fares for a more accurate reading. honestly I would say you would still get around 5.5-6 hours sot from that, and that unless you do some serious tweaking to both your phone and usage patterns you wouldn't be able to hit 7 hours sot, but I would be willing to see evidence that proves me otherwise.

Battery Charge Limit - Resets your stats but also limits the charging
I know you are clueless but talking without knowing is bad - 5.5 is for 50% battery due to high underclocking I've got
With 100% I can get over 8-10 hours - High end CPU cores are not more than 1.5Ghz, gpu at power saving but also lowest possible freq for min/max - You are talking crap but ok I won't feed you, I stop feeding trolls the moment I get they troll
sorry but you are the one talking crap, please see attached picture, which is a crop of your battery graph. i personally also use the battery charge limit app, and i know how the reset battery stats option in the app works, which will clear the battery graph as well. if you really did clear battery stats you wouldn't be able to see this upward curve.
how about this, you fully charge your phone and use it normally until you hit your claimed 8-10h sot. honestly i think i can match your sot, but without this underclocking you highly praise.
You're either braindamaged or a troll. You charged your phone and it didn't reset stats so it combined both usages. Did you pass 6th grade maths? Anyways SoT is subjective and you're just being extra petty about this

Only 10?
By doing a small mod on the battery, I get like 12 hours minimum, with 50% brightness fixed. What I did is that I replaced the main-winding of the normal Lotus-O-Deltoid type and placed it in the pan-indermic semi-boloid slots of the battery.

Removed lots of bloatware using adbFastboot tool and connected mostly on wifi. Without wifi with medium usage, I can get around 6 hours SOT within 2 days of use.
aex + canting.
I've had mine for 18 months and am still very pleased on the charge. I can typically get 12 - 14 hours fine, and that does me for most uses. I've seen it go longer when I've used it less (for example right now 20 hours without charge - 6% left, although that would include about 7 hours of sleep so no use in that time).
No modifications on my part.

So my maxx will drain to 1% battery in about 3 days with 3 hours screen time. The thing is once I hit 1% it can stay on 1% and not shut off for hours. Right now its been on 1% for about 7 hours, I have a youtube video going just to see how much longer it will go. Its been playing a youtube video now for about 20 min on 1%.
I just got this phone last week, is this because the system hasn't fully calibrated the battery? Or is the battery defective in some way? Its kind of annoying because you think you are out of battery but it keeps going so I don't really know how much battery I have.
Definitely not normal. I'd do a factory reset to eliminate a software issue and if the issue persists seems like it must be a hardware issue, exchange it
These sound like calibration issues. Can you fully charge your battery and then leave in on the charger for awhile -- like an hour or more? That should calibrate it correctly.
I have never nor will ever let my battery get that low. These batteries don't like to be drained and then fully charged it's not healthy for the battery. I don't let my battery go below 30 to 40 percent if I can help it. Most of the time I let it get to about 50 percent then I charge it.

not to be rude but where is you information or evidence backing your statement? this goes against everything i know and i certainly always allow my battery to fully die then i fully charge it over night while it is off, i believe charging at 40 percent fools the battery into thinking that is the end of the battery's daily life span and therefore dying prematurely due to it believing that 40 percent is the end.
I do not have any real evidence except i've gotten exceptional battery life with my Ultra after allowing a full cycle (draining all the way and then fully charging while powered down)...i have gotten just under 32 hours with 4 hours and some odd minutes screen on with about an hour of voice calls and random other usage such as tapatalk browsing, internet, texting and maybe some email or youtube....i occasionally play some games like the new CoD Strike Force

The best source is battery university. Here are a few good links. In the first, look at the third column (Li-ion), as that's the battery pack in the Maxx/Ultra/Mini
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_charge_when_to_charge_table
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
From the second link (emphasis mine):
Similar to a mechanical device that wears out faster with heavy use, so also does the depth of discharge (DoD) determine the cycle count. The shorter the discharge (low DoD), the longer the battery will last. If at all possible, avoid full discharges and charge the battery more often between uses. Partial discharge on Li-ion is fine; there is no memory and the battery does not need periodic full discharge cycles to prolong life, other than to calibrate the fuel gauge on a smart battery once in a while.

Coming from a Gnex, I have a charger within 3 feet of me everywhere I go. I'm trying to break myself of the habit of plugging it in but mine still gets a charge at some point during the day, if only in the car. It has always been my practice to let my phones run down almost to dead maybe once every couple of months. I feel like it keeps the phone's battery meter calibrated although I have nothing to base this on.

Just got a new Z3 D6616. This is the battery life projection I'm getting. I bought this phone because I heard great things about it's battery life. Also, when I saw a YouTube review, the guy's phone had a battery life projection of several days. Is something faulty with this specific handset? Am I doing something terribly wrong? Please advise.
PS. I'm at about 30-40% screen brightness with the adaptive setting on.

You should actually use the phone from 100% doing your daily stuff till about 1% and take screen of your on screen time. On screen time is what matter. They claimed to have at least 8 hours SoT with normal usage but the max I can get is only 4.5 or 5 hours.
I did a lot of reading before buying the phone. Heard about the "memory" screen or something that helps towards battery life. Several users claimed 10 hours SOT. Could it be the newer firmware that might have reduced it? I'll post the YouTube videos I saw shortly.
I use brightness at about 1/3 and have location and autosync on. I get about 8-9 Hrs SOT in a 36Hrs period.
At first even I got 4-6 Hrs SOT until it calibrated over a few charge/discharge cycles.
It takes a few cycles for the battery to calibrate, if you want to do that faster do the following:
1. Drain to 0-1% with normal use
2. Do a full charge till 100%
3. Do another full discharge (Dont charge in between)
4. Do another full charge till 100%
5. Now just use it how you want.
Thanks! Guess I'll have to report back report back after a couple cycles.
I have the same problem, I have enable the stamina mode, have the brightness at half and auto, and the battery won't last for one day,as an example today when I get up after I unplug the device it go from 100% to 99% right away and now after 10 hours without game, photos just Internet reading over WiFi the battery is at 31%. It doesn't seem normal, what should I do?must go to service?
I'm at 59% and my phone predicts 1 day remaining.
D6616 as well
I do suspect an app draining my battery though...

Nope, 1 day 19 hours standby
Well, it says 23 hours now... and 1 day 18 hours in Standby mode.
I also have no power saving features enabled, with max brightness..
I can get 6+ hours if I limit my brightness, but I settle for less with max brightness throughout the day.

I doubt I'd get the 24 hours from now with my current use either. As long as it lasts me throughout the day I'm fine.

I fully discharged and recharged my phone. Now I got 18 hours usage, including 7 hours SOT with the screen on max brightness for half an hour. It's getting much better now, certainly a huge improvement over my previous phone!

That's more like it, it should get a little better.
Please have a look towards the end... My phone's been awake when I was asleep. Is there an issue with this phone deep sleeping? While I get a good SOT, the idle drain is too high! Please advise on how I could investigate if a particular app is doing this. I used to use "wakelock detector" but that no longer works without root.
EDIT: Stamina Mode always on.

I have the same problem too... Whenever I leave the phone idle, even with the stamina mode on, it still uses the battery as if I was using it.
This is my first time owning a tablet so I don't know how battery life works here.
At 29% from 100%, I have 17h 29m, SOT 3h 14m, wifi 17h 29m, fallout shelter 40m, YouTube 22m, and some minutes on fb, etc.
Does my battery life ok or not? Thanks guys
Btw I'm on 6.0.1 v1.4 rooted, stock rom and kernel.
Seems a little low sot the tablet is generally going to get 5 or 6 sot hours
It depends on screen brightness! WiFi also takes more than it shows in the stats!
In the beginning, the battery drains a lil faster. But after some recharge cycles it last longer and even recharges faster.

My screen brightness is like 25-30% only everytime. Power plan is Max. Yeah the battery charges faster now, i get like 1500mA-3100mA, most of the time is 3100mA using LG G4 charger. In recharge cycle, do I need it to charge it to 100 then down to 0%? Thanks
Yeah, max performance takes most juice. Really no need for it until a heavy game lags, which so far never happened. I played Godfire with high rendering and it's smooth.
I usually recharge to 100% when the battery is at 5% or below. I've battery saver turn on automatically at 5% so I know when to recharge. At 2 to 1% the Shield makes an auto shutdown. Some say, it's not so healthy for the battery to drain it 0% every time. I dunno.
Okay, just found out that my Shield takes about ~5% per day when being idle. Hence, you'd get 20 days standby. Airplane mode on, WiFi off, processor mode: optimized!
Just got the phone on Wednesday. So far this is my third battery cycle. Earlier I just noticed the battery percent dropped to 94 after unplugged for roughly an hour and I didn't use it at all since it was fully charged. Checking the battery report it said the screen on time was 37 mins. My concern is since we are so fixated on SOT as a true reflection of battery life, is SOT report really accurate? Can someone please confirm this?
Yes...
What is the SOT you getting with normal use?

For me the report has been accurate. Are you using the stock report in the battery section? Or a third party app? Did you see it charge up to 100%. Seems like it maybe didn't but it is suppose to reset at about the 90 mark.
Personally I don't use SoT as a accurate reflection of battery life. Someone using their screen for Netflix vs another who's playing a game will get two totally different SoTs.

The SOT is absolutely accurate ... It just mesures the exact time the screen is on haha, not a lot of error cases possible
I easily get 3-4 hours SOT before I get down to 40%. Communications always on, adaptive brightness with don't at 50%. By the end of the day I usually have about 5 hours SOT with 5 or 6 hours standby and about 45% remaining.
Hello dear XDA members,
I bought Poco X3 NFC two days ago ( The Global version ) and I noticed that the battery performance is very poor.
At first I was using the screen @ 120 Hz frame rate and I was able to get 7 hours SOT normal usage, and 6 hours SOT while playing PUBG.
Then I changed the screen frame rate to 60 Hz but the situation didn't change... And I got 5 hours SOT only !
I would like to know if you are getting the same SOT?
Is it a general problem?
I'm on MIUI 12.0.4.0
I didn't get the chance to test the previous firmwares to compare screen SOT.
thanks in advance.
WOW, I have it set to 90 Hz and when I do not play, I get 11h SOT and over 40h on the battery.

Lucky you, I have been doing some research and I found that other people have battery drain issues too, and other people have wonderful SOT
Yeah people either say it's insanely good or just plain garbo. I for example can't even tell lol. The built-in battery monitor doesn't seem to work properly. It spits out some nonsensical numbers and doesn't show all the apps I'm using. For example it shows 1,5h active for the display after 20+ hours of usage were I've watched multiple YouTube videos during this time (some of them longer than 20 minutes). And YouTube app doesn't even show up in the summary. Same goes for Opera browser which I use quite a lot. Didn't realise at first though, as I charge my device every other day or so and don't game much on it really (it significantly shortens the non removable battery life span). AccuBattery only shows estimates (free version). Don't know how they get an accurate/believable measurement with like 30h+ standby.

I heard of this issue too, and I started to use accubattery today to keep track of the battery usage
You need to calibrate your battery
Calibrate Battery:
Do two full charge / discharge cycles (from 100% to% 0, charge off to 100%) and finally a full charge (or half charge / discharge cycle, which is the same)
With that it would already be recalibrated.
Half cycle equals one full charge or one full discharge.
One cycle equals one full charge + one full discharge.
These are the so-called battery life cycles
Or charge / discharge cycles
Both terms refer to the same thing.
What kills lithium batteries are these cycles, it is like a flash memory, it has limited write cycles. Lithium batteries, the same, but both discharges and charges count.
That is why they recommend doing small charges and keeping the battery between 20% and 80%. Older people recommend carrying out a charge / discharge cycle every 15-20 days, to ensure the correct calibration of the battery.
Credits to the Mi8 Lite Group in Spanish for this tutorial.
So maybe it is the adaptive battery feature which takes some time to work correctly, I think I am getting a slight improvement.. still testing though
Battery Improved a lot since I wrote this thread, I think adaptive battery feature started to work.
My SOT is even worse than yours.
I am using poco x3 indian varient with 6000 mah battery
What did you do to increase SOT ?
