LineageOS needs no introductions. This version of LineageOS-14.1 is a highly customised version solely for the Amazon Fire HD10
- EVEN MORE IMPORTANT: This ROM only works on devices using the bootloader hack. See <<< HERE >>> to unlock your devices.
- IMPORTANT: Do not update Magisk via the Magisk Manager App, your device will enter a bootloop if you do. Instead update Magisk via TWRP only. If you do this by accident then it is recoverable by just flashing the latest version of the ROM again (with gapps etc as required).
Rules
- Please search the thread before asking questions
- Please try to stay on topic, I know it's not always possible

Its regarding media playback (OpenMaX)
Should be able to flash it over cm-12.1.
Be sure to install arm64 7.1 gapps the first time round.
Amazing, you are the man! Thanks! Lots of stuff already working nicely. The only thing I noticed in a quick test is video playback not working, Netflix won't even start, and YouTube just shows black screen.
Edit: WiFi also still drops occasionally, just like on CM 12.1.
I'm having a couple issues already. i dirty flashed over 12.1. installed magisk, then xposed-v89-sdk25-arm64.zip, and open_gapps-arm64-7.1-nano-20190926.zip.
Not Working:
1. Home and Recent buttons do not work. Does not work in navigation bar or in other apps such as LMT and FNG (Fluid Navigation Gestures)
2. when I open Solid Explorer, I get "requested file was not found. Path: /storage/sdcard1
3. Can't get into Developer Mode. Nothing shows up when I tap.
4. the Play Store does not download at all. it just keeps pending.
5. Plex does not work.
Working:
1. USB C Headphones (Earpods) w/ 2 adapters.
2. Amazon Prime Video does work but very choppy. Unwatchable.
3. YMusic. (gets a choppy slightly)
Update: I did a clean install and so far it's working much better. I'll have to reinstalll all my apps and test the rest later.
TLDR: DO A CLEAN INSTALL. a dirty flash from 12.1 will give you problems.

Looks like a clean install is the way forward coming from another ROM.

That's the conclusion I came to. The major issue is video playback. I'll start looking into that shortly.
Great to see Nougat coming to Fire HD10. Thanks!
Just have to unlock my bootloader and will give this a try.
Quick question: if it doesn't work as I expect, can I revert back to stock ROM without any problems?

If you have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed you can make a backup of your fireOS and then try any rom you want. If not satisfied you can restore fireOS. Go back to locked bootloader with stock rom is also possible (but why?).
PS: There is also a fully working Lineage 12.1 if you won't wait for video playback.
@retora Thank you. Tablet wasn't unlocked yet. Just manually debloated and rooted Stock ROM. But not many important things on it, so a factory reset wasn't that much of a headache.
Did the bootloader unlock, no problems at all. After it flashed this 14.1 ROM, GApps and Magisk. So far it seems to work really nice. I am just setting it up and will play around a bit.
Yeah, I saw that there is a 12.1, but I am sure @ggow will get the video playback working soon.
Is the download delay in playstore still present? This seems to be the most important issue as I learned in the 12.1-thread.
One new issue I noticed (was working fine on CM 12.1) is that I can't set up the Gmail app. It asks me to add an account, but if I try to add my Google account it tells me the account is already present on the device. Other Google apps like Photos work fine.
I did do wipe (but no data format) before installing the ROM, and I installed the pico gapps together with the ROM.

Haven't experienced any delay with the Playstore. First I installed some benchmarks to compare it with the Stock ROM. Seems to be 4-5% faster than the Stock ROM, if I look at the average of the benachmarks I used.
Just did an update to all apps for which an update was available via Store (YouTube, Google, Photos) - started downloading right after clicking on "Update all". No delay either with starting the next app after updating the first one.
So far I am very satisfied. Gonna try some bluetooth devices and see how they behave.

So if we're coming from your other ROM, we don't need to wipe? Just flash this and the newer gapps?
@GuyInDogSuit Some people are having issues with that so a clean flash is recommended

Grant gmail app permissions and all will be good.
Any idea why I can't install Google Play Games?
Did a fresh install of the ROM with GApps mini. The Games app is downloaded by the store but fails to install with a general "The app can't be installed" message.

@GuyInDogSuit i did a dirty flash. i encountered many problems. a clean install is recommended.
@ggow perhaps you can add a note in your post to do a clean install if upgrading from 12.1 to prevent further queries regarding this issue.

question: can you turn off the trackpad mouse pointer, to work as 2.3.7
galery not working properly
otherwise a good rom, I like it
Pointer remover!
This update removes pointer but do not worry the D-Pad will work as in Android 2.3.7!
Update Not working so you need to put those files in /system folder by yourself!
Pointer will be fixed in next update!
Can't impossible get Gapps to work. Have tried evrything (I think)!
Have tried a couple other Gapps then latest one given in this thread.
Have tried installing CM9 and Gapps a couple of times, with reboot and cleaning cache etc in diffrent orders... without luck.
Latest I tried clearing cache, data, dalvik, etc.
Installed CM9.
Installed Gapps (given above in thread)
Reboot.
Evrything seems to work, but no icons/apps appear... >_<

thanks, its work for me!!
when i want install new release recovery show me that installation aborted
Now I've done some more testing... and done the installation over and over a couple of times
Theese are my conclusions:
* Installation of Gapps is partially working!
From one installation to another, diffrent apps and function is installed (or working) on the phone.
Theese functions I've found (so far) that vary from time to time:
* Gmail
* Market
* Screen lock
* Installation guide program when new user/clean installation
tested
After a while I managed to set up it to work good
1.wipe data factory reset, dalvik cache...everything
2.flash rom
3.wait for the phone to start
4.wipe again,start the phone
5.flash gpapps
Instead of stock gallery use quick pick.
Little bit slow when entering menu (probably becouse of stock zoom effect).
market working, camera working, synced account without problems
Great job!
I installed CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Nightly 2012.06.18
My phone just flies.

RAM size 140 MB (it is very good)
Less:

Hi,
I flashed Cyanogenmod 11 on my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.1 - cm-11-20131208-NIGHTLY-hammerhead).
Everything is working perfect except that the youttube app cannot play any videos (see attached screenshot).
- I tried reinstalling CM11, reinstalling the YouTube app, wiping cache & dalvik cache
- I can play video files from the internal storage wit the video player app
- Internet connection is working and stable.
Youtube logcat output: http://pastebin.com/BU6qrS6g
Is this a problem on my end, a problem with the youtube app or with CM11 (and should I report the problem to CM)?
If it's a problem on my end - can anyone help me fixing it?
Thanks.

Same Problem with Youtube App on Nexus 7 and Nightly CM 11.0
Fixed with upgrade to the latest Nightly Build
A quick word of advice:
if you flash a nightly ROM (or anything for that matter), especially something that isn't considered a stable release, try reverting back to your old setup to check if functionality returns. That way you can assume that what you've flashed has actually caused the break.
Nightly builds ARE NOT stable builds. Things can and will be broken.

Did you solve the issue? I have just started encountering the same problem.
Nightly builds state that there is a high chance of bugs and should not be used as daily drivers though more people seem to be. Whether it's down to not knowing how unstable they can be I've no idea.
Stick to Snapshots if you want it to work.......

Flashing a ROM is an inherently risky operation. You alone are responsible for any damages, data loss, or dead kittens caused by flashing this ROM. Nexus devices are notoriously hard to brick, but should you do so by either your own error, omission, or a by flaw in this ROM you have been forewarned.
Introduction
Flo++ is an AOSP Kitkat (KOT49H) based ROM with the stock kernel aimed mostly at minimalists that want a clean base installation with basic power user functionality. GAPPS are not installed to allow you to flash flash the GAPPS package of your choice. I recommend going with one of the PA GAPPS packages.

FAQ
Q. Can I install this without a custom recovery?
A. In theory, Yes. Just do a factory reset and it *should* work. You do have backups , Right?
As of v0.3 you must use a custom recovery (until I resolve the signing issue using AROMA)
Q. Why doesn't GPS work?
A. Short answer: Actually it does (confirmed with GPS test), you need to install a GPS app or flash GAPPS with Google Maps in order to actually "use" GPS. Longer answer here.
Q. Backup and restore doesn't work. whats wrong?
A. Backup and restore functionality comes with GAPPS or a special transport service written for a storage service. Since I do not intend to host anyone's backups there is a fix posted here. This issue will be fixed before the ROM is released from Beta status (version 1.0).

Known Bugs /Issues
[20140408] Backup and reset do not work out of the box. - workaround here . This will be fixed in next release, but you can enable the function by following the directions in the post.
[20140314] Aroma signature breaks ROM signature. Will fix this when I get a chance, but until then use unsigned zip.
[20149316] It has been reported that GPS is not functional on v0.3 will investigate the report and update as soon as possibile
GPS works (confirmed with GPS test) For user functionality install a third party GPS Nav app or flash PA mico modular GAPPS and install GMaps.

Whoops I misread your question. This is built GNU make 3.81 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu on Debian Jessie/SID using the standard AOSP /prebuilts. I have not decided whether or not to use Linaro.
Right now I'm working on getting the Aroma installer configured. The next version (probably tonight or tomorrow) will include the qc dalvik and bionic optimizations and a couple more tweaks.

Advanced reboot and immersive mode and I would be set, especially with the QC and bionic stuff.
This is the perfect ROM I think for me to build my car nexus off since I will be running Timur's kernel + services. I want as minimal as possible.

Btw, how did you build this? I returned my flo today since Verizon has the deb/lte for 49.99 this weekend! There is nothing Like this over there and would really like something similar, even if I have to build it myself but I am clueless on how

I'll have a look at this and recheck the proprietary blobs to make sure they are current.
If you want to give building a ROM for deb a go just start here:
http://source.android.com/source/index.html
To compile it you'll need to have a working 64 bit Linux installation, it seems most of the folks here are using Ubuntu. There are tons of tutorials and if you get stuck shoot me a PM and I'll help if I can.

Apparently this is a semi "known" issue with AOSP stock builds. It has been reported in the past that GPS won't work without GMaps. I flashed PA mico modular GAPPS (it doesn't have Gmaps) and installed GPS test and it reported that the GPS is indeed working.
For a car installation this would work well if you have a third party Navigation app you prefer over GMaps.
I then installed GMaps which further confirmed GPS is working. I've come to the conclusion that this is not "broken" , but is a feature that is not supported "out of the box" by the AOSP build. Makes sense to me since supporting the hardware is OS responsibility, where utilizing the data is application level responsibility.
Any updates ?
Mind if I try to port this to deb?

I took a short (enforced) break due to internet issues last week. Right now I'm in the process of recompiling the ROM and cleaning up the installer so It will be a couple days before I upload a new version.
Have at it I don't have a deb device to test with, but if you have any problems I can try to help you through it in PM.
Work issues have slowed down my progress (double shifts and no days off... ) The next update will include freshly compiled Android Terminal and the latest update of SuperSu.
This project is not abandoned - just slowed down for a bit
Status update:
v0.4.0 [20140405]: Recompiled with latest version of busybox and added Android Terminal Emulator, TitaniumBackup 6.1.5.4. Updated Supersu to v1.94 - Temporarily discontinued use of Aroma Installer

TESTING!!
CyanogenMod 12.1
Code:
I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war,
or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you
have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before
flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
Note: If you're on Miui 7, flash the following stock ROM zip before flashing any of the custom ROM available on the forum.

First of all I'd like to thanks dh.harald, smoki3, k2wl and everyone else who helped in building up the device tree.
In other ROMs, the biggest problem is of random reboots/shutdowns and that Clash of Clans is not working. Initially, I spent for over a week to fix those bugs but really couldn't find what actually causes the above two issues.
The problem lies in the kernel because flashing intersectRaven kernel or the stock kernel for that matter fixes the above two issues.
Unfortunately, I couldn't track down the commit in the mi4i-dev/dh.harald kernel source which causes these problems.
So, I started with the stock kernel, booted it with CM, made WiFi drivers working and applied the patches from intersectRaven's kernel source.
Now everything is working with no random shutdowns and with CoC working.
I'll keep maintaining this ROM now.
Also, I'm not planning to bump the kernel version because I have feeling that some change while bumping the kernel version only is what caused the problem in the first place. Neither does bumping the kernel version gives any performance boosts.
However, I'll keep making important changes in the kernel as required.
Installation Instructions:
1. Root your phone.
2. Copy the ROM zip to your phone (the link of the ROM zip in the first post).
3. Flash TWRP using Mi4i toolkit. (Advance users can flash the image manually from this link).
4. Reboot the phone to recovery mode.
5. Wipe data/factory reset.
6. Flash ROM zip file.
7. Flash GApps (can be downloaded from here)
8. Reboot to System.
9. Enjoy!
going to try this once i figure out why my CM12.1 goes to black screen at startup
camera performance?
Thanks for taking out time to build this, I am looking for a pure stock experience in Mi4i and your build seems to be very close.
Can you please post some camera shots taken indoor and outdoor?
For installation, just factory reset from twrp or full wipe (include wipe system)???.
btw you should write how to install.
Is it as smooth as Wilson3q's build. The reason why I'm comparing is that out of all the custom ROMs out there, I find his ROM the smoothest.

I get the recent apps swiping lag. I made the mistake of flashing the stock gapps so now im re-flashing and flashing the kernal. But so far it seems good other then a little issue i had with APNs and data.
The setup screen is actually very laggy and i don't have a keyboard to type in my wifi password.

I haven't used his build. I can't say how does it stand in comparison to his build.
In this release, I aimed more at getting the bugs fixed (random shutdowns and CoC not working) which were becoming too annoying.
I'll now be focusing more on making it even smoother.
I'd suggest you to try and see for yourself how it stands.
I flashing dh.harald's build now as i couldn't go past the setup screen cause play services kept crashing after i re-flashed the rom and gapps.
I'm reinstalling your build currently.

I remember I was also getting that crash. I guess I've fixed that in my build.
Feel free to post bugs.

DISCLAIMER:
Your warranty is now void by proceeding. Flashing your device's partitions or modifying its stock configuration poses an inherent risk of permanently damaging your device. By proceeding further, you are absolving me of any liability in the event your device is damaged or rendered inoperable. You -- and you alone -- are solely responsible for your device. Follow the instructions carefully and things should go smoothly.
ETHEREAL-OS v1.1
As its name implies -- Ethereal -- this stock-based Lollipop ROM is very light weight & refined. It combines a pure stock experience with several features and enhancements beyond those of which are included by the manufacturer & service provider. Furthermore, this ROM has been debloated, and freed of those pesky /system apps for which many of us have no need or wish. However, should you have the need for those apps, I will eventually be providing a download link for the /system APKs that I removed.
REQUIREMENTS:
In order to flash this ROM to your device, TWRP custom recovery must be installed. While it is possible to flash this ROM using an on-device flashing utility, such as Flashfire, these instructions will be geared towards custom recovery. If you do not have TWRP already installed on your Alcatel Ideal, simply search the XDA threads for the files and instructions to do so.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the ROM and save it to internal storage or, preferably,
an external micro-SD card;
2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery;
3. Perform a full wipe (/data, dalvik, /system & /cache). NOTE: If you saved the ROM zip on internal storage, DO NOT wipe internal storage. If you saved the ROM zip to external storage, format your /data partition;
4. Select INSTALL from TWRP's main menu, navigate to the storage location of the ROM zip,
select the file, and swipe to commence with installation. The process will take around two minutes;
5. When installation completes, to prevent possible boot looping, wipe cache & dalvik cache. Reboot system. NOTE: first boot may take several minutes. Do not interrupt the process and be patient. Subsequent boot ups will occur much faster.
6. After completing initial setup and signing in with your Google account, it is very important to go ahead and update Google Play Services and all GApps which require updates through the Play Store. This step is important to ensure proper functionality of the Google Assistant Launcher.

BUGS:
When reporting a bug, if you are not submitting a bug report, please provide, with as much specificity as possible, the exact nature of the bug. Screenshots can be helpful as well.
NOTE:
I am in the process of adding more features to this ROM, such as the CyanogenMod 12.1 Theme Engine interface or Substratum OMS management. I was not able to implement theming just yet, due to my wishes to get this beta release posted as early as possible.

No I mean in this custom ROM. Does the Pixel Camera take and store photos OK? Is it just the video camera giving camera error?

Perhaps. I'll check on the possibility of adaptive storage. Yeah you can set it yourself by using a terminal emulator and entering the following:
adb shell sm set-force-adoptable true
I just wanted to let everyone know that the old Rro layers manager works with this OS... Some layers work, some don't... You just have to fool around with it to find one you like that works properly. Here's some of my settings screens with Jeremy Beck's Acid layers installed. For some reason I can't get the main settings screen's background to go dark to match. Same thing on the stock rom though... Does anyone know how to mod the settings app to change the background to black?

USB Debugging is the same as ADB Debugging on this device. You are correct there. I'll see if I can get adoptive storage enabled on mine. If so I'll make a flashable mod.
