Q: What the hell is madOS ?
A: madOS, (M.A.D. Team OS), is a ROM based on pure A.O.S.P. with extended capabilities and customizations made by or merge/adapted by M.A.D. Team.
Q: Which recovery should I use for this ROM?

A: Latest M.A.D. TWRP 3.2.1-0 recovery for the Jiayu s3 OREO 8.1.0

Q: How do i flash new recovery ?
A:
1: You can flash it with a scatter file (LP rom layout)
2: You can simply flash it from the existing twrp recovery: Install> Install image> Select Oreo TWRP> Select "Recovery" as partition to flash.
Reboot to recovery to use new one
Q: Do i need to make full wipes?
A: YES, dont come crying at me, if you didn't .... ;p
Q: What is "full wipes" ?
A: To Wipe : Cache; System; DATA ...
Q: New TWRP fails on wiping, why ?
A: You need to go TWRP Settings> Select the option
"Use rm -rf instead of formating"
Update madOS April 2018:
New TWRP is fully working now, no more need of this workaround
Native wiping of both ext4/f2fs is working and twrp is faster then ever
Q: What should i use f2fs or ext4?
A: Both are supported, choose the one you desire
You can only use f2fs on cache & data (backup your stuff, as it'll be all erased)
Q: is the Data connection issue of going to / from 4G still present?
A: nope data switchs pretty fast on our new RIL
2G>3G>4G | 4G>3G>2G pretty fast

A: Yup, We have working Theme Engine (madOS extras)

Q: My Jiayu s3 Basic (the 2GB RAM Version), shows "NFC has stopped"
A: The 2GB version, doesn't have NFC, however in the last NFC updates we did, this is now showing, as an workaround:
Go to TWRP:
Mount /system
Go advance>file manager
Navigate to /system/app/ and delete the NFC app, this should fix your NFC service force closing while on boot
Q: What's working ?
A: Check first Post for current status
Q: App "x" doesn't work, why?
A: Probably not compatible with OREO yet, feedback is welcome
Q: Is the rom rooted?
A: NO, But you can easily root with :
1: Magisk ( v14 )
NOTE: magisk v15, v16 aren't working (don't spam me, im not the magisk developer
2: Super SU ( v2.82 onwards)
NOTE: v2.82 or even latest beta of 2.82 will work fine
after flashing it, you need to go on the SuperSU.zip and install the management app

A: Not advised.. mainly the Magisk that gives some weird issues...

First I installed new Recovery but version is the same as previous: 3.1.1-0 ¿¿??
Then, when trying to wipe all partitions I get the following errors:

Unable to wipe Cache
Unable to wipe /cache
If I try to flash the ROM, then I get these errors:
E1001: Failed to update system image

Hi – my device is constantly rebooting. Sometimes it hangs in and I can use it for a couple of minutes, then it suddenly reboots and also sometimes hangs on the bootscreen and reboots right away from there. Do you have an idea what could cause this? It's unlocked with latest trwp and lineageOS for gohan installed. Had this problem for every trwp / lineageOS combination so far. Can I share specific logs that make it easier to find the issue? Kind Regards!

That's not my thread tho and i could make PIe run at Gohan, but the prob was that GPS wasn't working so i decide to remake Oreo sources for make a better upstream to Pie and make it stablish easier

Hi, no device isn't dead i just didn't have much time, but asap will follow working at it, I am redoing sources etc.
Prolly this weekend will have a bit of free time for working at gohan.

I have just flashed v12 and everything works fine except for the Lte/4G/3G connection(mobile data). It doesn’t work for me. Has anyone had the same issue? Is there anyway to fix it?

Where Could An Idea Like This Come From?
This project started as a joke on a Polish Redmi Note 4 users group (not available anymore). Someone managed to post a fake screenshot of PornHubOS running on a Redmi Note 4 to @rn4official. It was met with great enthusiasm, and even greater expectations. So, while it was going viral, we thought "Why not make it a reality?". And thus PornAOSP was born.

I missed this One
I am just putting the finishing touches to a stock ROM but had some issues with the pixel launcher and google assistant not working as they should "OK Google".
I think It's fixed now but I need to update all the google apps and perform a factory reset to test everything works from a clean install.
Hopefully this will give L1 users a daily driver until we can fix the RIL on these custom builds if ever.
PS: I have just got an Xperia 10 now QC SoC

That ROM would be fine, with it we can try to make Flyme Nougat Patchrom at least, that would be a custom stock rom where RIL will work for sure.

Are there future updates planned for this version? Especially fixes e.g. regarding the Bluetooth call issue?
I'm looking for a new small (not tiny) phone and this is one of the best candidates.

updates plane, but BT Call idk. it is common issue... i think if we get oneUI3 = new FW/Vendor/Kernel trees.

Dual Sim still working, one card is dead i deactivate this from Provider but booth mumber still shows etc.

At first - many thanks for the crDroid made for a40, superb!
There is a question I have - what about the gapps..?
Nevertheless which gapps package I install, the phone gets into the bootloop (not rooted or rooted - this is not a matter)
I've tried a following:
FlameGApps-11.0-basic-arm64-20210404-BETA.zip (90.8MB)
open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20200911-UNOFFICIAL.zip (180MB)
NikGapps-omni-arm64-11-20210130-signed.zip (308MB)
..in twrp or shrp seemingly installed with a success, but after a reboot - this is a spectacular EoL and I need to do all things from the scratch.
Or maybe there is sth more to do in prior to install gApps?

hi guys! auto brightness working on this Rom?
Tried, auto brightness and double tap to wake are broken, recent button crash sometimes.
Upon unlocking the screen, a red box appears all over the screen. (crDroid 7.6 & last FlameGapps Version)
Nice , clean and really smooth , exactly what I wanted. Thanks!
