Mass defect of Meizu M3s

Meizu M3s is popular smartphone.
But M3s users have problem in connection with mTouch button factory defect. In all Meizu M3s smartphones. In all !!!
Button is guaranteed to break after 1-6 months: mTouch sensor and a fingerprint scanner stop working. Moreover, after the break of the Home button, the smartphone starts to spontaneously hang and reboot. Button replacement under warranty solves the problem for a few months, then Home button will break again. Again!

Home button lasts only 4 months. What a shame

hi, I have a similar problem, Mback and fingerprint only work first time I boot without powering off the screen, when I do it, it stop working , but if I reboot, it work again till I turn off the screen, I have reset to several firmware version but no luck, any way to fix it? can it be simple firmware fault? or it has no solution...?

The only way is button replacement. It's the hardware problem.

Don't you think that if the button is functional when u first turn on the phone then maybe it's a firmware problem ? if it was a hardware failure it wouldn't work at all.

This is a hardware problem that manifests itself after a while.

same problem after 13 month

hii i have another probleme with my m3s fingerpreint work only with system applock its not working with other app like applock app... Why?

I have this phone since January 7, 2017 and I didn't have any problem with the fingerprint or with the mBack. Phone still runs completely perfect, even in Flyme 6

In my M3s the applock still works perfectly. I didn't test the CMlock yet. I have seen that a lot of apps like "CPU-Z" doesn't detect the fingerprint, so maybe there is a compatibility issue with something.

It's my probeme, a lot of app dosn't detecte fingerprint scanner i need a solution.... I think its due to android version 5.1 my freind have m5 run in android 6.0 fingerprint work perfectly with cmlock

November Update changes

How many of you have updated your Mi A1 to the November update and what are the noticable changes which you all are facing? I am noticing a better battery life after the update as the doze feature is working very well on my phone.

When did you update? The update came out less than a day ago so I wouldn't trust any comments on the battery life yet.

Ambient display "black screen when unlock while notification"-bug seems fixed.

Simply head over to apps, on the top right click on the menu dots and select "show system", scroll down to locate Google Services Framework, click on it, select storage then clear data.
Go back to >> About Phone, System Update, and you should now see the update.

I have installed this update and I have noted that the poor and annoying audio quality while recording videos using the camera app due to noise cancellation is now gone and am able to get normal audio on videos I record with the default camera app or any other third party camera app.
Now if they can only add the screen flash in their next update for the selfie pics since the phone lacks a front facing LED flash for low light selfies.

im having Gcam hdr+ problems with this update , random Fc , black and white front camera under low light .
tested all versions of the app and no fix, its the update.

when we can ger android 8 for this device?

My vivo nex just got updated to Android 9. Global version India.

Hi while writing this post my phone is upgrading to Android 9. I'm in India . I'm sure more of us will get it too. Let's share here what's new in Android 9 for vivo nex.

I am currently downloading as well, situated in Denmark.
I did change region to india in settings and activate vpn through india before going to bed however, so I cannot say if this made some difference...

I noticed camera has more features under ai face beauty option but sad is 24mp snapping is removed from vivo nex camera . Other changes are mostly UI based.

Here in Belgium we also receive the Pie update now...

I am downloading in Poland (EU) without any VPNs and region changes. Here is, in the end Android 9 will give the Global version without a combination.

Edit: update applies quite quickly like less than 20 min. Dark mode is cool.

Use Autonotification app. Removes the red line and many other messages that you don't want to see.

I'm not happy with the dark mode it is not absolute black instead grey it is. So it is not going to help in saving any battery. Only it will be less stain to eyes at night. I still miss my 24mp camera in vivo nex.

The Nex battery life is so good it doesn't matter. I'm just happy I'm no longer blinded every time I open the phone.

Question Proximity Sensor on Xiaomi 12?

Hey guys. Does the Xiaomi 12 have a true Proximity Sensor or is that trick they have been doing with the front camera that sucks? Thanks!

Apparently, they use a "virtual AI proximity sensor". For those who use them, who do they really work? The Implementation in the POCO F3 sucked.

I had in the past Poco F3 and proximity sensor was really a mess.
I have now a Xiaomi 12X and I can say that is of course not perfect (like a physical one) but is working fine (acceptable).

Proximity sensor is working fine so far during phone calls, I even tested it multiple times to see if it detects right

I have big issues with this virtual proximity sensor. Very bad!

where do we see the mentioned "calibration option" ?!

I'm almost leaving Xiaomi for that issue.
My Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G touch is always hitted on the pocket. Sometimes, even calling the police.
It really sucks.

My relatives with 11 and 11 Lite dont have it neither

I have the 12, and i`m on LOS right now. The proximity sensor was and is still very bad. The screen fails to close when i put the phone over the ear and screen touch is muting conversation, putting on hold or even ending conversation. I really hate this phone because of this.
I will never ever going to buy China stuff again. I will go back to Sony ASAP!

My proximity sensor was no working. The Android not was recognized. I downloaded the lastest update package and installed using MIUI update function.
To enable this function.
Go to Settings > My Device > MIUI version. Press several times on MIUI logo until “additional features are on” text comes up. Tap on hamburger menu. Now tap on “Choose update package” option.
After that my proximity sensor was working again.

Any other tips on how to fix this error?

Blinking red light (diode-like) on POCO X5 PRO

Hi, can anyone advise - how to get rid od this blinking Red light visible in the photo?
It's not related to any notifications and it's herę throughout whole day, both on filmy charged and discharging battery.
This might be proximity sensor - but still - blinking like crazy all the time.
It's POCO X5 PRO with Android 12 / MIUI 14.

Then, after unlocking, 1/10 times it stops; but 9/10 times it's still there.

Ok, so that's because of the adaptive lightness. When AL turned on, this red light is there and pulsating. No option to minimaze it though?

yeah, i believe it's a bug and the red light shouldn't be visible.

Hi,
No, no resolution for this so far. I was advised by support in Poland to submit feedback in Settings -> Service and feedback.
Maybe it would be fixed with update but no response from them after the feedback.
Can you submit one as well? LET'S SHOW THEM WE'RE NOT ALONE!!!
