Good day everyone i am having a problem with my j7 2016 china mobile sm-j7108. It would not go into download mode and it only goes into smart switch recovery. I tried the smart switch recovery using the device initialization and my device is not supported. I must add that the device was had some kind of frp lock and would not boot or flash firmware via odin so i tried different firmware then eventually it got to the smart switch recovery and i cant do anything else. I realize i'm stupid af but here's what happened: I was trying to flash a custom rom to my SM-G920F galaxy s6 and accidentally uninstalled my OS. This morning I attempted to flash G920FXXU2POGN to my galaxy 6, I have no idea what the original software was. Everything was going fine until the last minute when hidden.img appeared in the odin log and the flash failed. My device now reads: An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software. However, neither smart switch of kies 3.0 support my device!! My device is still bootable into download mode. Please please please help. I've only had this thing for a day and I've already broken it.

Hi there, you should download smart switch and use emergency firmware recovery, From there you should click 'more' then click emergency software recovery. Key in your device SM-G920F then input your serial number (Found on your device Box, remember to connect your phone on download mode) then voila, it should download and install the latest firmware for you. hope it helps!

I bought glaxay s 6 before couple days
it was 5.0.2 lolipop
i tried to update it but it appear a strange message says :
“The operating system on your device has been modified in an unauthorized way. Try downloading software updates using Smart Switch on your computer or visit a customer service center.”
i didn't know what to do and how to fix this
i asked some people and the tell me to download the framware from sammobile
i downloaded the ksa 5.1.1 framware from sammbile and i installed using odin
after the install end the phone didn't work and it stucks on the samsung slogan
i tried to open the download mode and make wipe data and wipe cach but still didn't work
i try another framware and make every thing
but the phone still stuck on the samasung slogan
i want to your help guys

Try flashing stock firmware via Smart Switch.
1. Download Smart Switch.
2. Put your phone in download mode
3. Press "more"
4. Press "Emergency software recovery and initialization"
5. Device initialization
6. search for you device - For example SM-G920F
7. Type in S/N number that was on the back of your phone.
8. Follow the steps and it should reinstall stock android for you.
!!Beware that your files and stuff will be gone!!

1- Disabled OEM unlock on my rooted phone (im stupid) and now cant boot it.
2- Tried to flash Original rom with odin and failed.
3- phone is stuck with a screen "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
4- Tried to use smart switch software to restore but my phones not showing up in the recovery tab after connecting.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Can you get into download mode ? Smartswitch/kies both require download mode for emergency firmware recovery. Also you could use odin if you have recovery mode

My Samsung Galaxy J700H is not booting!!
When i pull the battery and then open my phone, it says
"An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried to use the smart switch but my device is not recognized. I also tried the Emergency recovery function in Smart Switch but still it cant recognize even the S/N. (My phone is legit btw haha)
Before this happened, I just rooted my phone a few days ago. At first it was working fine then when I restarted my phone last night, after the boot logo the screen just went black and doesnt boot anymore. I tried to repeat this but the problem is just the same.
At first I can still access the TWRP and tried to flash different roms but none of them was working. The problem is still the same after doing the steps to flash roms. I also tried to use ODIN but still it didnt work. And it came to worst that now I cant even access TWRP.
WHAT SHALL I DO PLEASE HELP ((

Hi, I got a problem after updating the stock firmware with odin to the latest version avialible for my country (DBT).
Now after rebooting, I got stuck in the triangle screen with the message "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software."
When I try to connect to Smart Switch then it says that my device isn't supported. Emergency Recovery doesn't detect my phone at all.. ODIN Fails to flash the firmware.
Help?
