Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

Thank you for updating this ROM.

Two things are noticable :
LED notification does not work during charging
Battery consumption is agressive
But overall it's a beast ! Kudos to the development team .

IMHO best rom for Whyred. Thanks dev! I have not found any relevant bug as of now, absolutely recommended for daily usage

Thanks for the update, im using it right now run smooth and no bugs found.

I have random signal drop, this happens often also on other custom roms except some. For example not on Arrow Os.. can we investigate?

Someone will come along and tell you that is not possible, since the modem drivers are in the FW. And you may be sitting there with several ROMs which you can just reload from a backup and compare. Even the time it takes to log onto network or GPS can differ. You watch and hear the difference. But whom am I, only :silly:
Serious, if you are on 10.3.2 and it's drops connection re-flash FW, and if still does not work, then try another ROM.

Facing call issues on this rom. Neither can i nor the other person is able to hear or talk properly. Pls tell me a solution for this. I cant talk to anyone properly. Will have to switch ROMs if there's no solution .

Since I flashed 9/15 update, display is flickering when I reboot system and I cannot see lockscreen. Every funtion is not working.. So sad...

I dirty flashed it from 20190714 directly to 20190915 (to do this I had to update firmware which was never updated before to V10.3.2.0.PEIMIXM) and have been using this ROM for 4 days. Till this morning I noticed only one problem – LED notification doesn’t work at all including notifications for new events and charging light. Other things, like battery life, performance, camera, sound, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi/mobile signal is awesome.
But this morning I find out that my phone had turned off by itself during night time and morning alarm have had not work as well. When I powered up phone it just came back as normal (boot sequence, request for decryption password, further boot sequence, asked for pin for both of the sim cards). During the day phone also works just fine, no unexpected reboots and/or shutdowns. So for this random shutdown I’m going to blame not the ROM itself but weather condition (room window was opened so room temperature was about 5-8 degrees cesium maybe that caused phone shutdown). Do you experience any random reboots and/or shutdown using this ROM?
So one more time – this ROM is AWESOME, thank you for your incredible work Looking forward for future updates.

No internet
ROM is super great, but won't be able to use internet, but you can use Wi-Fi, but mobile data always show "No internet" except for 3G sometimes

Can I get kernel recommendation that matches this piece of art Rom? (To balance battery consumption and performance)

Hi, thanks for reopening the thread again. I still keep using RR even when it is keep updating silently.
I currently use TWRP 3.3.1-1, Magisk 19.3, fw MIUI Pie 10.3.2.0, stock kernel from each ROM version. I clean flash when coming to the first RR which use pie firmware. I want to report several version bugs
1. Forgot since which pie version (still fw oreo), the network speed indicator still disappear after each reboot. And sometimes it also disappear by itself, intermittenly and without any specific cause. When I set Resurrection Tools > Status Bar > Clock > Date > Normal Font size (or small), it seems to disappear more frequently. It seems like the statusbar is not enough wide, although I have already set the display font size to the smallest. (I still have a lot of free space in statusbar). I still have the bug till now.
2. 20190829 : When using bluetooth headset, I face random freeze and then auto full reboot. This happens only when the bluetooth is streaming audio, not when standby connected. It also occured in 20190915. I got this approximately twice a week.
3. 20190915 : I just try this last sunday. I am using wifi all the time.
- On Monday, when I turn off wifi and turn on mobile data, suddenly the phone soft-reboot (it just blackout, dark for about 7-10 seconds, then back to lock screen and ask for password).
- After a while, it loop back again to blackout and to the same lockscreen.
- I immediately know this is because the mobile data. But it freak me out, because it is very difficult to unlock and turn off mobile data while it lags when loading the soft-reboot.
- After several tries, I managed to unlock and then quickly turn on airplane mode. Then phone now don't soft-reboot anymore
- I am curious. I disable the lock pattern state temporary using Automagic (so I don't have to erase the password or fingerprint), then try again. Still the same soft-reboot after turning on mobile data.
- Using wifi, I have no problem at all. If I have wifi on and connected, even mobile data turned on, it won't reboot.
- But as soon as I turn off wifi and the mobile data is connected, the looping soft-reboot happen again.
- Trying to flash previous 20190829 boot.img, still the same problem
- I dirty flash back tto 20190829, the problem disappear immediately. Now mobile data connected and phone still run fine.
- My Primary sim card with mobile data is Smartfren, which operate only at LTE FDD 850 Mhz and TDD 2300 Mhz. Second SIM card doesn't have internet (I have disabled the service), and doesn't cause soft reboot.
I wonder if there is anything wrong with the TWRP, magisk, firmware or anything other. Logcat text file is attached : View attachment 4832885

Ok I am going to make it Abundantly Clear. So there is ZERO I mean ZERO CONFUSION.
What this is NOT -
This is not a Weekly. This is not Stable. If you are looking for either, you are in the wrong thread.
This is Not a Daily Driver. If you are looking for one, go to SlimKat Thread.
This is not Fully Functional Picture Perfect Rom. You do not get to Complain and call names on the thread if you expected anything else.
This Build does have bugs. Those that are known to me are listed Bellow.
What this is -
This is an Early Alpha Build. To those who don't know, that's prior Stage of a Beta or Weekly Build.
Its a Preview of things to come. If you notice, my list of Features is lacking quiet a few of Slim Features.
Yes there are bugs. The ones I do know are
Root does not Stick. See Notes Bellow.
Stock Camera clicks but does not take pictures. When you switch to Video Mode, you'd get error "Unable to Connect to Camera". Afterwards you have to reboot to clear.
Some of the 3rd Party Camera Apps work. For Ex. Open Camera, VivaVideo
APN Menu does not show any of the APNs for at least Sprint Variant.
When connected to WiFi, MMS are delayed. Only seems to affect D2VZW.
NOTES -
This is a D2GSM Build. So it is equally applicable to D2ATT as well as D2TMO.
You must Flash SuperSU [STABLE][2015.01.20] SuperSU v2.4.5 as a Zip file along after flashing Rom.
If you posted a bug/issue not listed above, without a Logcat, I will ignore it.
Unless specified otherwise, do not dirty flash on top of SlimKat or Other Roms. If you did and then complained even with Logcat, I will ignore.

Like other LP ROMS, camera clicks but no pics.
I'll be flashing this tonight and posting a bug report in a few days if I see anything out of sorts. Thanks once again for a new build, Perseus!

I was sidetracked with some things in life, lovely snowstorm, and I'm a little slower than others with my bug reports BUT I have been running this the entire time since I posted. Hold onto your butts.
For the most part, SlimLP Feb 7th build has been running well for me. I clean flashed (wiped system and data) and am using the VRBMF1 firmware with VRUDNE1 modem. Also, I flashed SuperSU v2.45. Quick breakdown on what works/does not work. Calls, sms, MMS, 3g/LTE all work for me. What does not work: stock camera (known Lollipop issue) and GPS. I have not been able to test Bluetooth nor NFC. Long winded version follows!
Calls: I live in an area with low signal and I had no issues with calls 5 mins to a few hours. I did not notice any issues talking over the phone. Incoming and outgoing calls work fine. I often talk on the phone with Skull Candy earbuds and I did notice that I cannot adjust in-call volume. It just doesn't seem to decrease for me.
Sms/mms: sms mostly sent fine for me in a range of locations including the DC metro. Initially, sending mms seemed to take a few minutes but over the course if a few days I think it sends in a consistently normal amount of time. Receiving mms is working well.
GPS: Never seems to lock on for me. Perseus you know this from my beta testing. I can get an initial lock however it does not follow me as I drive nor does it consistently lock in while navigation was running. There were a couple times when GPS locked onto me after I had driven 10-20 mins down the road with navigation just running. I tried rebooting, reflash, wiping caches in recovery, and I also use GPS Test to see if satellites ever lock but they never did.
Audio: works mostly fine but there were times when I noticed ringtones/notifications would not go off because they had reset. For the most part, ringtones and notifications rang whenever they needed. I also noticed that sporadically, my alarm or audio when watching a video clip (say a vine or instagram in the browser) would play just static instead of the appropriate audio. The most jarring was the alarm having this occur once, however it is not easily repeatable nor is it consistent. This occurred for one alarm in a 9 day span, but this occurred more frequently when watching a video in the browser or app. For reasons that should be clear, you are most likely to observe this if you view many random clips or videos in apps whereas your alarm likely only goes off once a day so it's less likely to occur with the alarm. I have a hunch that this may also be tied to the issue of ringtones/notifications being reset sporadically because after noticing this audio static issue, I think this is when I noticed my notifications or ringtone were not playing. If I reselect notifications/ringtones, I don't think I noticed the lack of ringtone/notification sound again on a text or call until the next time I had the random audio static bug.
Odds and ends. I less 4 random reboots over the span of 9-10 days on this build. I usually when 25-40 hours between reboots or manually initiated reboots. Three days ago I flashed BMS beta kernel from Feb 3 and I have had no change in issues since flashing. Your mileage may vary with custom kernels. Root apps work for me. I use Light Flow, Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer, BetterBatteryStats, and Wakelock Detector with no issues. Lastly, I restored texts from a previous build of SlimLP and I restored about 20 apps using Titanium Backup.
I want to say that is everything I have noticed since flashing this build. My bad for the delay for anyone who was waiting on my reply.
Edit: One more thing. I edit my build.prop to enable the Lollipop soft keys and also to switch the capacitive back and menu keys. I have done this on each and every beta release and I have no issues with any of these edits nor with muktasking. These all work perfect for anyone who likes to make these specific edits like I do.

Just to chime in on gps, it works flawlessly for me. I have been testing these alphas for awhile and GPS has been great so it may be somewhat device specific. SlumsnoopOS, I'm also in the DC area. Do o you get good gps on slimkat? Also does mms seem to come in if you are connected to wifi? For me, if I'm on wifi it won't come until I get off wifi. Finally, occasionally I get a weird android phone FC that repeats until I reboot, like it's trying to connect the radio and it keeps failing, never happen to you?

Ironically enough, it's perfect with the same firmware/modem combo on KitKat. I must admit that I haven't tested on just VRBMF1 firmware or VRBMF1 firmware/VRUCML1 combo. Which modem do you have installed?
If I don't have mobile data turned on, I do not get notifications for MMS. However, I always keep my mobile data enabled while on wifi so I get notified about MMS as they come in. Old habit that I have from SlimKat cuz I don't get MMS when data is not enabled, which is in contrast to TW.
Surprisingly no, I don't get any FCs despite all that I have restored with TiBu lol SlimLP has been rock solid in that regard for me. Btw, I'm adding one edit to my last post about build.prop edits.

Yea, I have no clue either. I've since flashed just the VRBMF1 firmware and then VRUCML1 modem and GPS just never finds me on any modem. That's with multiple reboots and even pulling the sim card I can get one general lock but exiting the GPS status app and toggling GPS again loses me. It's not a permanent lock. I think I recall doing this before and just couldn't figure it out.

You getting camera and video recording to work? Anyone? Using Viva video and open camera? If so do I need to freeze camera first?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Can Someone Do me a Favor ? Do the following.
1. Install Syslog app and grant Root Access.
2. Reboot and then immediately launch Stock Camera. Turn on the Video Mode.(Yes I know it will have error)
3. Grab a Log out of Syslog, It will zip the 3 files (KMSG, LAST_KMSG and Logcat) Post that zip.
Thanks in advance.

Since you flashed firmware as did I, I don't know why this is necessary, but who am I, maybe going back to TW as usual might fix the GPS lock issue. It's seems to have fixed it for me on AICP. I can't wait to try slim agian, and RRO layers. But I'm happy where I'm at the the moment because my phone is my DD and needs to stay that way.

The S3 is no longer my daily driver, but I still have it so I tried out your latest SlimLP build (5.1.1). Everything seems to be working. WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth. I can't comment on cell signal since I don't have Verizon anymore. Stock camera (the one packaged) works now. It's still a bit buggy but I remember it being unusable before so this is a major improvement. Video recording and front facing camera both seem to work fine. Camera will hesitate when flash is on but eventually takes a picture. Way around that is to touch focus first before taking a shot. Sometimes the camera freezes but if you exit the app and re-enter it works again. I certainly did not do any extensive testing so YMMV.
Oh, also the splash screen is FUBAR. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that lol.
Besides that it's snappy and smooth like I always expect from Slim. Thanks for the build!
I'm gonna give this a test but I'm having a hard time finding the gapps. Which section is the slim lp gapps in? Thanks!

No. Only for snapdragon model.
Camera is not buggy ? Camcorder works fine?
Thanks for working on the ROM.
Do we need to flash a root solution?
Edit - installed magisk, and it works.
Noticed a couple of bugs -
1) the root option in system settings does nothing.
2) the network traffic monitor isn't working.
Amazing ROM! Thanks devs!
Do we need flash lazy flasher?
Bluetooth calling works?
Volume button control the ring volume?
Vpn works?
Gcam works?
Hi @Rk585,
Phone was running lineage 15.1 20180811 build with no issues.
I clean flashed the lineage 16 20181002 build with open gapps pico .
On this build , microphone, speaker/ earpiece does not work for calls.
Only way to get audio in calls in lineage 16 is to use the provided type c to 3.5mm adapter with an earphone.
This was using Airtel and Vodafone sims.
I reverted to the prior 15.1 build (clean flash) and calls work with the microphone, speaker/ earpiece.
Only change was the lineage os.
My phone is indian le 2, with 19s bootloader.
TWRP was 3.2.3 IIRC.
If you get the time, please look into it.
waiting for good feedbacks
nice one lineage team for developing android pie in such a short period of time.
observe mode
It's been about 12 hours since I flashed it, and so far most things seem to work fine, though there are a few bugs.
Calling works fine for me.
I've been having problems with my primary Airtel number for some time, and can't hear the other person if I'm in one of the back rooms of my house. But if I go to a different area and toggle airplane mode it works fine. I've got a secondary Vodafone SIM too, and that hasn't given me any problems.
The camera gave me a little trouble. The stock camera app doesn't work well. On 15.1 Footej was slow, but stable. Last night I tried using it on 16, but after working for a few minutes it kept FC'ing. Resetting the app didn't help. This morning I reinstalled it, and now it's working again. The only change in my settings is that I didn't enable stabilization this time.
For me restarting the phone is iffy. Sometimes it restarts, sometimes it hangs, sometimes it just stays off. But if I power off, and then reboot there's no problem. I had a similar problem with 15.1, which I used for about 2 days before installing this.
I'm using the latest magisk. Also since I'm not using GAPPS, I've had to make the UnifiedNLP app a system app to get navigation to work. Maybe that's what's causing the reboot issue.
Getting a GPS lock was really slow in 15.1 and used to take about 10-15 minutes. It's improved a lot in 16, and takes only a couple of minutes. But, it was almost instantaneous in Lineage 13.
There were a couple of times the phone stopped responding. It hadn't hung, and the hardware buttons still registered touches, but I couldn't exit the app. This happened with the Footej gallery app and the KORE remote for Kodi. Sorry, I don't have the log files for them as I couldn't reproduce the issue.
Battery backup seems to be really good. On 15.1, and this ROM there was hardly any overnight drain. But for me the battery percentage began varying a lot between restarts, showing 4% at one reboot, and then, without charging, showing 50% at the next reboot. I've wiped all my caches, so I'm not sure what the problem is. BatteryBot Pro says my battery is healthy, and it lasts me more than a day with about 4 hours SOT.
Fast charging seems to work too. As does the hotspot.
Thanks @Rk585 for this ROM.
Dark and black theme not working, can't scan codes, camera blurry, force closed on settings until duly sign up on Google play store before stable, no Sim deactivation or toggle as it was call
Feedback (daily use here):
- Sometimes Youtube and Spotify not playing (codec problem?);
- huge battery consumption;

Did you play any music ..
Music from speaker does not work fine
Only one time a song played that too from retro music player then when it stopped no sound came
Ringtones work incoming call works
No issue of network stability
I tried graphene kernel it works fine but music issue was still there
Music works fine for me, as does bluetooth. I connected to my cars audio, and could use it to make calls.
I think the problem I had earlier with the hardware buttons not responding has to do with system profiles. The recent apps button would stop responding randomly, and even a restart wouldn't fix it. I disabled profiles about 7-8 hours back, and the problem hasn't cropped up again. I use profiles to keep the phone unlocked when I connect to my home wifi, so maybe it's a permissions thing.
Also, I changed my GPS backend, and now I get a fix instantly.
And it's still showing negligible idle battery drain. I'm not using GAPPS, or any social networking apps, so that may be why.
The only issues I have now are with apps not being Pie ready. My banking app says my version of Android is too new, and to wait for an update. Keepass2 FC's if I try to use fingerprints to unlock the database. And Lawnchair launcher isn't very smooth.
camcorder is crash

I'm so hyped for this rom, using cr 6.1 so far and its rock stable while beeing smooth. Will test 7.0 soon.
Thank you
delete, wrong theme.
Yes! So excited to see this
Just pointing out that Double-tap to wake is still broken in the latest build. Battery drain that started with the previous build is also still the same (nearly 20% over a 6 hour night).
Thanks for the good work otherwise and keeping older devices up-to-date!

This is a new-ish issue that started with the end of January build, in previous builds of CR7 (that aren't hosted anymore), battery usage was just fine, and I would expect that to get fixed again.
Tried it for the last day, was on CARBON-CR-7.0-TBA-UNOFFICIAL-z3c-20190129-1316.zip for the last month. And I've noticed some great improvements so far:
the great news:
I wasn't able to reproduce the lockscreen and notification bar bugs anymore.
docking the phone seems to work now also without problems
viewing .gif and videos directly in Whatsapp is working again
performance is splendid
the bugs still present:
battery drain seems to be still present (but no problem getting over a day with moderate screentime for me)
the camera: video recording is not working at all. changing between front and back camera multiple times doesn't crash anymore, which is great. The bug about the second picture crash while using the stock camera app is still present. Taking multiple pictures directly in whatsapp is working. Frontcam does show a correct live picture and taking a picture does work as long as you don't try to use the display flash (stuck on display flash).
double tap to wake doesn't work
Not tested: USB and Wifi tethering
Well, I can live with the few bugs listed above for now, as long as you don't use the camera too often or just use Whatsapp for taking pictures directly, nothing is stopping me from using this rom anymore.
Thanks for keeping my favourite phone up to date!
Big thanks to @Myself5 and the team to keeping z3c alive!
Clean flashed the 29/01, dirty flashed 02/03 and dirty flashed 21/05 (using modules from here). Regarding to bugs these are the most visible that I encountered so far:
battery drain still high in my view but I'm still investigating (It seems a bit better than the last CR6.1 tho)
video recording is kinda broken!? I don't know how but I managed once to get video from front camera, using back camera it didn't work at all till now. Switching between cameras and modes also make the camera stops. While playing music I tried to record videos and when the camera stopped the music switched or also stopped every time (don't know if it matters or not). Fixed on 21/05/2019 build
manual network selection not working (cannot select network but it connects fine on automatic mode) Still present on 21/05/2019 build
clock overlay even after changed its position, after taking screenshot or pulling down the status bar it disappears (minor bug) Fixed on 21/05/2019 build
I suspect there might be an issue with alarm since I set up it to 6:12 and it rang at 6:22... I'll keep investigating trying to get logs..
No FM Radio..
Every time a new app is installed using 'files', screen freezes (trying to get logs)..
Offline charging not working(?)
Logs and screenshots are attached. Will update this as I find more relevant things...
Cheers!
The latest build (0302) brings big improvements to GPS navigation. It seems to be working now. The bugs I've faced are the following:
1 - WiFi tethering is still not working for me. After toggling it on, it starts the process, turning the WiFi radio off, but it is automatically toggled off right afterwards, and WiFi is turned back on.
2 - Screen cast seemed to connect, at first attempt. My smart TV showed the connection screen, but my Z3C phone undergone a soft reboot. Further attempts showed no TV sets available in my local WiFi network.
I'm keeping this ROM, anyway. Thank you very much!
hi, nfc payement is working on this release?
First impressions
@Myself5: Thanks a lot for making cr-7.0 for the Z3c! :victory: I know that it's not finished yet, so I want to share my own first impressions.
Since I have a spare second Z3c, I used my working cr-6.1 installation from my first Z3c (which I transferred via TWRP backup) and installed cr-7.0 plus 9.0 Gapps ontop of it.
Basically it works, but I have a big problem using an SD card. If I already have it inserted when booting up cr-7.0, the phone reboots at lock screen or soon after unlocking. If I don't have an SD card inserted when booting up, everything is fine and I can use the phone, but as soon as I insert a card, it reboots.
This behaviour stays the same even after freshly formatting the SC card on my PC. And - before anyone asks - I have the same problem after clean-flashing cr-7.0, so it's not caused by dirty-updating from cr-6.1.
Does anyone else have such SD card / reboot problems and knows how to solve them?
I just did another test after fully removing the partition from the SD card by using a partition tool on the PC and then letting the cr-7.0 phone do the formatting. Now it seems to work well, no reboots anymore. Now the card is formatted in FAT32, whereas before it was formatted in ExFAT, so probably ExFAT support is missing or buggy!?
About battery usage: As some users already wrote, so far it's worse than on cr-6.1. During standby at night, the cr-6.1 phone had a battery drain of only about 0,3 %/h, whereas the cr-7.0 phone had a battery drain of about 1,8 %/h. On the cr-7.0 phone, the mobile network ("Mobilfunk") consumes more than on the cr-6.1 phone, so maybe that's the culprit?
About double tap to wake: It's working for me, but I had to activate it via Kernel Adiutor.
About camera: I have the same problems which have already been mentioned.
General: CarbonROM 7.0 already seems to run smooth and stable. What's great is that I can use EdXposed (I mainly need it for the Disable Desk Dock module because otherwise I wouldn't be able to properly use my car holder) but at the same time still pass SafetyNet and use banking apps (putting them on the black list of EdXposed).
For now, I will stay on cr-6.1 for daily usage until the battery drain and camera problems have been fixed, but I will update cr-7.0 on my second Z3c and see how the development goes on. I likely will also make and maintain a "user experiences and issue list", like I did on the cr-6.1 thread (I already reserved post #6 for this.)
Keep up the great work!

Same here. I did a clean flash and I couldn't manage to pass the lockscreen. I didn't have such a problem on the 20190129 version.
SD card worked without issues for me, 32GB FAT32.
Can also confirm that enabling DTTW from within Kernel Adiutor works.
@Myself5, about the so far not working exFAT on Pie: They seem to have the same issue on the LineageOS 16 thread:

New build
Just finished uploading a new build.

Hotspot fix thanks to @NeoArian
Other reported bugs are currently WIP. E.g. we made some breakthroughs on Video recording, more on that soon.
Hi myself5. The new release of ROM does not work for me. I flashed clean, but after some seconds after first boot the phone rebootet (home screen was already appeared). And it robots anytime shortly after boot. I can e.g. just insert sim pin, but at least then the phone is booting again.
I tried first flashing with gapps, but also without flashing gapps, so only ROM, shows same result.
Greetings Odiad

I bet that you are using an exFAT formatted SD card, since I faced the same problems.
Your only options ATM are not to use an SD card or to format it in FAT32 file system (which has some drawbacks of e.g. not supporting files > 4 GB in size).
Hopefully the devs will get it fixed soon. :fingers-crossed:

I turned my Z3C phone, running the latest 0310 build, off, then, for test purposes, inserted an exFAT formatted card into its slot, and turned it back on. For me, a specific popup message came up stating that that card was not supported, but no unexpected reboots. I wonder what might cause reboots in your case? The Gapps package, perhaps? I use the opengapps mini one.

Thank you!
Clean-installed lineage-18.1-20211008-HTML6405-i9305 and it's looking really good.
I've installed LOS and the same apps as when trying out the 19300 build. No Gapps or Magisk.
All of the things I observed as not working with the i9300 build on this device are now working:
Hardware buttons are now working
Home button now wakes device
Wifi connects automatically to dual-band network and seems stable
GPS is working. I haven't tested thoroughly, but it does see satellites, which it couldn't before
Camera works and photos are right-side up
Screen rotation is working correctly (once I turned on 270 degrees in rotation settings - other angles were already on).
Audio volume is still low on internal speakers, but fine on Bluetooth.
I haven't yet tested telephony (which didn't work on the i9300 build). Going to leave the device on for a while to see if it's stable.

Thanks for testing, but you can't compare these two builds because of different hardware .
If you're facing a random reboot, it would be great to create a last_kmsg file and send it to me,
otherwise I can't debug anything.

You could change the Speaker Boost Volume level from 6 to 7 in the /vendor/etc/sound/i9305 file,
this will increase the audio volume.
I will include this in the next build.

Yes, I wasn't intending to suggest that they are directly comparable - just confirming that everything that's supposed to be working is working.
Telephony is working, I can now confirm. The SIM was visible but not active on reboot after inserting the SIM, and after a second reboot it became active.

Good - I was going to ask just what logs you'd like me to collect re the reboots. I'll grab last_kmsg next time it random reboots.
There've been two random reboots since install, both while it'd been playing music over bluetooth continuously. The first was after ~4 hours and the second ~2 hours. I will just leave the device idle now and see if it happens when it's in deep sleep. There are no tombstone files, by the way.

Thanks! That does help (after a reboot). Still not loud, but it is more audible.
@html6405 - I have a logcat and last_kmsg from a strange half-hung event this morning. Should I upload here, or would you prefer a PM?
The device had stayed up without a random reboot overnight (and ~75% deep sleep). I connected the Bluetooth speaker and started the VLC media player. For a while, all seemed well. Then I pressed Home to send the player to the background, and instead, bootanimation started. Very briefly - didn't complete half a loop - then the screen went blank, hardware buttons were lit, and no response to buttons or quick press of power button.
adb could still connect to it, so I grabbed the logcat and last_kmsg before trying anything else. htop worked, but none of the running processes seemed to be using an unusual amount of memory or processor, so I didn't try killing any.
I had to force-restart (Power and Volume Down) to get it to respond.
Now it tells me there are new updates. Is that expected?
@html6405 - the 9 October OTA update dowloaded and installed via TWRP, and the system booted OK. I connected the bluetooth speaker and started playing music via VLC media player. The system rebooted almost immediately. The attached zipfile contains last_kmsg (called last_kmsg-2) taken after that reboot, plus the last_kmsg and logcat from the 8 October build, mentioned in my previous post.

@html6405 - the device got another OTA update today. Thank you - and I like the fact that they install automatically via TWRP!
It has had quite a few random reboots now, and ALL have been while it's playing music files continuously. It does this with LOS's music player and with the VLC app, and it doesn't matter whether the audio files are local or on a network fileserver, or whether the output is bluetooth speaker, wired headset, device speakers, or muted. After a variable length of time playing - usually 15-30 minutes - the device will suddenly reboot.
But it doesn't seem to do it when playing video continuously. I haven't tested this thoroughly, but yesterday VLC played video files from a network fileserver for over four hours without any reboot. I'll try it again today to see if that's consistent.
Do you need any more last_kmsg files - or only if it reboots under different conditions?

The GSI from the linked thread and all coming GSI's should fit for all exynos4 devices.
But I had no time to test it on the I9305, there will come updated versions soon.
Update 26.10.2021:
Fixed modem crash issue in Kernel, the connection still get's lost sometimes and you still have to reset the APN settings after every boot, I'm working on this...
I'm testing this ROM right now, unfortunately I lost my SIM card day ago so can't say anything about mobile data etc. In 2 hours of listening music on youtube, using social media apps and browsing web there wasn't any reboot. I didnt encounter any major bugs, one thing that is happening to me is when i try to send photo (directly from camera, not gallery) in messenger app, when i click to send photo it is jest restarting messenger application, I will test how it is with other apps and edit this post. In overall this ROM is working really nice. Thank you for working on this ROM. Maybe it is now not the smoothest or fastest working ROM but it is usable and gave me "fresh feeling" of this old phone
EDIT: sending photos from camera works on instagram
Is it possible to get the GPS time fixed?

Hmm ok,
I've downloaded the GPSTest app from the playstore and I didn't get this message,
do I have to do anything to see this?
For sure I've tried GPS outside.

Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
This ROM includes MicroG. The microG project creates an alternative to installing Gapps, which install and execute closed-source blobs on our phones. This ROM is a fork of LineageOS with just the necessary changes to have microG built-in. Find out more on https://lineage.microg.org
It is strongly advised not to install GApps as this ROM includes a replacement for them.
This ROM is based on the build of @tarkzim (see here: [ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL][M7-ALL] LineageOS 18.1 [STABLE])
If you are looking for a build without microG, see my other build here : [ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL][M7-ALL] LineageOS 18.1 [STABLE]

Thanks for that zsoerenm.
I have tried it and it seems to work at a first impression. Unfortunatly I need the play store so I hat to switcheback to tarkzim's version without microg so it has run only short at my phone without haveing any problems regarding sim card detection wifi and so on.
Have you tried Aurora Store?
You can also download apps, that you have already purchased, if you log in with your Google account in Aurora Store.
New build released
Updated Android with May 2022 security patches.
Selinux set to enforcing
This update can be dirty flashed (Clear cache and Dalvik cache)
There seems to be a problem with selinux still. After some suspend time the display won't wake up and surfaceflinger has 100% CPU usage and deadlocks. I, therefore, recommend to use the 2022/04/09 build or manually set selinux to permissive with setenforce 0 (You'll need to do this after every reboot and you'll need to enable root debugging in developer options).
I'm not totally sure how to debug this issue. Unfortunately, dmesg doesn't reveal any denied requests, that could be a problem. I've already allowed other denied requests, that were visible in dmesg, but they did not solve the problem.

Finally, this seems to fix the wake up issue that I described above.

@beanpeti
I've created a new build release without microG (see here: [ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL][M7-ALL] LineageOS 18.1 [STABLE])
Let me know what you think.

Installed previous build and now updated. Seems reliable so far. Thanks
Thanks for that, zsoerenm. After your "advertisment" I've read about microG and the Aurora store and will give it a try if it works for me.
Do you plan to develop both versions in parallel?
Yes, I plan to support both version in parallel.
which version is best for battery performance? (MicroG or Normal)
and can you work on battery drain? in tarkzim version a little darin in battery, (if it work like original 5.0.2 version is very good)
and another problem in tarkzim version is call in speaker mode and Bluetooth call mode (its Voice echoes and poor qaulity in other hand listen to me)
I haven't compared the battery performance to the exact values. I think both have outstanding good performance in battery. I have replaced my old battery with a new one about 3 years ago though. Without much usage it lasts longer than 20 hours. My guess is that microG has better battery performance.
I have recognized voice echoes and poor quality using bluetooth call, too. If I have time, I will tackle this issue.
I'm using the recent version with magisk now since 8 weeks and want share some points I've recognized:
- Reboots and sometimes black screens occour about 1-2 times a day. For me it is somehow ok.
- WiFi hangs up and cannot be disabled anymore so a manuell reboot is needed 1-3 times a day. The problem is, that the phone phone is offline and it is not recognizable.
- Battery usage seems normal. But after a reboot it shows sometimes significant lower SoC. Looks like an calibration issue. I will change the battery with a new one the next days and will see if it is due to the old battery.
- the sim PIN is always asked 2 times, but you have to input it once. Is this meant to be for dual sim verions, which my phone isn't?
- bluetooth headsets do not work for phone calls at all. Tried Sony, Jabra and my car. Bluetooth audio playback is working.
All this I think also occour with tarkzims 18.1 rom as well.
I'm happy to got rid of the play services and play store. I really miss nothing.
All in all many thanks to making me able to extend this phones live as it has all i need (especially the good speakers) and I'm not able to find a good successor.

I have reboots and black screen very seldomly (once a week or so)
Yes, I've also observed WiFi hang ups. Those are actually quite annoying. Apparently the wpa_supplicant is going into state D. I was unable to find the root cause of this. If someone has an idea, I'm will be happy to dig further.
I haven't got a bluetooth headset, so I cannot test it.
I'm glad that you like the ROM nonetheless.
There are a few thing I haven't tried yet but so far this seems to run beautifully. Performance is better than I ever would have expected from this phone and my battery life is also much better than the last ROM I came from. Bluetooth earphones seem to work fine so far, the only bug I've noticed is that if i turn on the torch, it switches off shortly after saying something about the camera being in use. I'm really surprised by how good this is, thank a lot!
Nice ROM. Had "No SIM" issue, solved by flashing lineage 17.1, then wiping everything and installing this ROM. Thanks
Bug report: when I open flashlight, it will turn on the flashlight but show "camera in use" message after it turn on and then turn off the flashlight immediately.
Hi, I'm still using this ROM since a few months now.
I got my bluetooth headsets to work but still facing often reboots or wifi hang ups. Sometimes the sim got lost and I have to reboot.
As the internal flash memory has run out of space I have freed space and it seems that it has run more stable after that.
But sduddenly since yesterday it refuses to boot again after the htc boot logo.
Will install it again and try if I will get it to work again. Hope my spare battery is still good because I try to change the old one (second in life). I'm not sure if it's because a weak battery which was recognized with very random soc.
Is this ROM still maintained? Would be great but I guess this device will die out due to it's high age.
