Can the T-Mobile 7 pro be converted to international and utilize dual SIM? Yes would need a dual SIM tray but would it activate the feature?
Yes, the tmo version is dual SIM after international conversion provided you sim unlock via tmobile first.

Hi everyone. I received the unlock code from AT&T and after I insert my non AT&T sim card and boot the phone up, I don't get the network unlock prompt. I get "sim not provisioned mm #2" how do I get the unlock prompt to come back up? I was rooted and running CM 7, but flashed it back to a the non rooted HTC stock rom from HTC's website. Any help/ideas are appreciated!
Are you SIM unlocked or bootloader unlocked? How did you root?

I'm sorry, I don't understand the difference between SIM unlocked & bootloader unlocked, I just want it unlocked so it can be used on different carriers. AT&T has already given me the code to use.
When I rooted, I used aahk, but when I put the stock HTC rom back, I lost root access.
Are you still S-Off? Which carrier's SIM are you trying to use? Some carriers lock their SIM cards, so only SIM unlocking the phone doesn't work.

Yes, s-off and I tried a verizon and a tracphone SIM

Since you used the aahk and are still soff than you already have Sim unlock. Not all carriers and Sims play nice with unlocked phones. Sometimes a different Sim will do the trick.
Example when I had unlocked my iPhone way back in the day (original) it would not work using my sisters tmo Sim but it would on my brothers tmo sim

Sim not provisioned mm#2 usually means the Sim card hasn't been activated, if the phone was Sim locked you would be prompted for the unlock code. Sounds like you're ready to go

Purchased a used D850 that was supposedly unlocked. Is there any way to verify other than trying other SIMS (which I don't have)? Picked up a code from an eBay seller and when I enter 2945#*850# each of the 5 menu items returns "Your phone is not yet personalized" with "Dismiss" as the only option.

I put in a PagePlus (Verizon) SIM and phone booted normally (AICP Lollipop) and there is no service; there wasn't any message about SIM.

Well there is your problem, You can't use the D850 on PagePlus/Verizon... Verizon is CDMA carrier not GSM. The only reason why Verizon uses sim cards is for LTE.
You'd only be able to use a VS985 or a LS985 on page plus.

I am aware of that.
I switched from PagePlus (Verizon) using the VS985 to Cricket (AT&T) using the D850 with the Cricket SIM. The person I bought the D850 from said it was SIM unlocked and I'm trying to verify that; I've purchased an unlock code for the D850, but when I dial the code I mentioned above each of the five options returns the "Your phone is not yet personalized" message with the only option being "Dismiss."
You then told me to insert a non-accepted SIM so I inserted the PagePlus (Verizon) SIM.

Ahh so you where just testing? Well using a Verizon system to test is not a good test. But wait your trying using a Cricket sim? A D850 does not have to he unlocked to work on Cricket, AT&T Go Phone, H20 and other AT&T mvnos. It just works.
If your trying to use a non AT&T/mvno sim then it would need to be unlocked like if you wanted to use T-Mobile.
Also if the phone is locked you CANT unlock it using a custom ROM, you have to flash it back to stock. But if your using it on Cricket the phone doesn't have to be unlocked.

I want to unlock the D850 for international use, specifically using LTE Band 1. The "Your phone is not yet personalized" message only appears when I boot the stock ROM; I can't access the menu in any custom ROM.

So your using the back to stock guide and going 100% completely back to stock before trying by using the tot method right?
So are you trying to use the Verizon sim to unlock it? If so that might be a problem and you'd need something like a T-Mobile sim

Yep, it had Lollipop when I got it, so I tot'ed back to KK.
The seller of the unlock code's instructions indicate their code will work with the Cricket SIM or an "unapproved" SIM, so I restored stock KK and entered the 2945etc code and received the message that is the title of this thread.
Perhaps the phone is already unlocked, as the person from whom I bought it said it was. I don't know this to be true, so I'm trying to verify before travel.

You can get a T-Mo sim for free. Either go into a T-Mo store, or get one on their site.
I inserted a T-Mobile SIM and dialed 2945#*850# and after selecting each of the five options I recieved the "Your phone is not personalized" message.
Perhaps the phone is already unlocked? The carrier logo at the top left of the screen said T-Mobile, and when I went into Settings/About Phone it said T-Mobile LTE.

Your phone is unlocked. If your phone was locked when you turn it on it will tell you. I'm not sure but that code I don't think has anything to do with unlocking lol. You never enter a code in the dailer. You always just enter your unlock code when you boot your phone.
Your phone is unlocked or you wouldn't be seeing the T-Mobile network.
I'm having a similar situation. I have the 851, and I'm receiving this same message. The phone was locked to T-Mobile, but I want to use it for Metro. Please help.

Call the original carrier of the phone, they should be able to get the unlock code. If not them, call ur carrier.

I got unlocked code from AT&T but did not get the unlock screen when I boot the phone with other sim card. The unlock did not work when I get to the unlock screen by dialing a special code. After reverting the phone to a stock ROM, the unlock works as the instruction that come with the unlocked described. Thanks
Hello fellas, I bought my TMobile Oneplus 7 pro on a payment plan yesterday. I already have it bootloader unlocked, rooted and twrp installed, volte works, Netflix works(480p). Running an international version OOS 9.5.11. My question is..... Since i already did all that, can I sim unlock it in the future, after 40 days, without having to revert back to stock tmobile?
As far as I know, you only have to wait 3 days to request a permanent sim unlock. @mobbdeep can do it for you with just the account holders last name and the phone number the OP7 Pro is currently on. You will need the T-Mobile "unlock" app so you can select "Permanent Unlock" in the app though, so you *may* need to temporarily reflash stock for that, but if you ask around, someone might be able to pull the apk from theirs for you to try on international.
Also out of curiosity, how well does T-Mobile service work on the international ROM? I've been thinking of converting mine and buying a dual sim tray since mine is unlocked.

If you're already on the international firmware and have stuff flashed, you will need to revert back to the stock T-Mobile firmware in order to truly unlock your SIM. If you try downloading the Device Unlock app via Play Store or APK, it will give an invalid network unlock reading. If you have a T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro, PM me your phone number and the last name of the account holder of your T-Mobile account and I can unlock your phone in seconds. You can then use the Device Unlock app to unlock your SIM then flash the international firmware if you'd like.. that is what I did myself.
Anyway, the international version firmware is good but there's no significant difference except it's used to unlock your device but not your SIM. I have SmurfKernel and xXx NoLimits ROM module installed and my device performance has increased greatly.

I just hate the boot logo, bloatware and I heard the international firmware runs alot smoother plus gets updates quicker
Are you asking if the bootloader would become re-locked, or if the SIM would become carrier locked? Are both currently unlocked?
Once you are carrier unlocked you are always carrier unlocked. But flashing international wont make you carrier unlocked. You have to have someone on the T-Mobile side do that for you.

So would the Amazon renewed oneplus 7 pro tmobile gsm unlocked be permanently carrier unlocked?
MSM tool will not relock the sim. The lock is in the efs. And this is not flashed by MSM.so you are good to go. But before flashing ,if you are scared it will lock, you can use qfil or edl.py with the firehose programmer elf .and make a backup of modemst1 and modemst2. With these 2 copyed in the unlocked state ,u will be ok. I have locked and unlocked the sim many times for testing by having backups of locked modemst1 and 2 and unlocked. U can go back and forth all u like.alway back these up ,they will only work for your device. With the same HW I'd.
Seems I can get a great deal on a US unlocked Note20, but for my use case I want to dual sim it with a physical Verizon Sim and a T-Mobile e-Sim.
Can I do this with the unlocked phone, or is there a way to flash the firmware to the T-Mobile ROM to be able to do this? Do I lose anything by buying a U1 generic unlocked version?

I am using the same setup with a U1 device. Flash TMobile firmware, instructions are in one of the threads here.
I have question if I flash T-Mobile firmware, what bloatware comes with it. Secondly both sims can be non-T-Mobile or eSim can be only T-Mobile and nano sim from other carrier?
Both sims can be non TMobile.
