Yesterday XIAOMI Mi5 has get a new update.
About TWRP aborts the update, because firmware MIUI 8.8.30 is required as a minimum requirement.
However, I find these not to download - does anyone have a link?
Regards & Thanks
Same here, does anyone can provide the download link ? Thank you
same here and the last update that worked has some bugs.
Apps crashing, battery drains etc.
Was hoping the new update would have fixed these issues but alas
I cannot get TWRP to flash giving the same error about MIUI 8.8.30

This is to all of you, you can't apply stock OTA updates on rooted devices or devices that have TWRP installed. Stock OTA updates require an unmodified system partition(meaning no root, no Xposed, no root mods of any kind).
OTA updates also require stock recovery, not TWRP.
You can all try flashing any stock firmware for your device then wait for the update notification then try the update process.
To those of you that have TWRP installed, this is a good example of why it is so important to create a nandroid backup of your stock ROM before you modify anything on the device. If you had that nandroid backup, you could restore the backup, then flash a copy of your stock recovery, then unroot the device, then wait for the update notification, then you'd be able to apply the current update. Then after applying the update, root the device again and flash TWRP again, then create a new nandroid backup of the updated stock ROM and delete the older backup from before the update.

I am running Lineage OS 15.1 when it applies the nightly update I get this error.
So what you are saying is they updated to MIUI 10 which as what I can see updates to MIUI 8.8.30 which includes new code
that TWRP and Lineage cannot install over. Also there is this Xiaomi's anti rollback that is installed as well so I am guessing
either live with the last Lineage OS update or install stock MIUI and call it day.

Oh, you mean a nightly update of LOS?
Maybe the MIUI update contained a bootloader update and the new builds of LOS were built to work with the new bootloader?

Interesting I encountered the same problem. Lineage Cannont update because 8.8.30 stock ROM Miui is required.
Simply download latest available miui firmware. Via TWRP install it and then immediately install latest LineageOS.
Here is the link to the new MIUI

Hi Guys, got my Mix2s since official release and after unlocking bootloader I only "flashed" the Global Beta from the Updater (no root, no TWRP, only unlocking bootloader)... After that I always installed Updates OTA, but the Xiaomi cancelled the Open4all Beta Channel... Now I "stuck" on 9.6.27. (Germany) and for me there is no Update to 11.0.4.0 OTA !???!?
For me, the official Xiaomi Global Beta Roms - are much more fluid and less buggy like the Official Global Stable oO
Now my Question
1. Are Xiaomi.EU also OTA-Updatable or "Flash" within the Updater? Don't know if I need TWRP
2. How can I update without a Brick? Full Wipe is ok for me, to much waste on the phone
Thanks in Advance
Wow, I am suprised that nobody can help
I am clear that there will be always a risk with flashing and I am no Newbie at this.
But I want to make sure, that I not accidentally make it the wrong way..
So @ all Xiaomi.EU Users:
How can I flash the newest Stable oder Weekly on my Mix2s? And which way I must go, after flash to get future-updates for Xiaomi.EU-Roms (OTA? Flash in TWRP? "Flash" in Updater)?
Hello
I read the thread here posted by h8Aramex
How to flash Xiaomi.eu firmware on Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - step-by-step guide
So this guide was written by DeathByArmadillo who partly copied it from user "Danmue" from an old post. Anyway, it works. Tested on Mi Note 10 with Global rom. Just re-posted it in it's own thread because the information was a bit scattered...
forum.xda-developers.com
And I have a few concerns
I asked in the main thread however the thread looks to be dead
If anyone knows a guide on how to do that and if it's a good idea to do so
I want to do that because the Global Rom lacks a lot of the features in the CN/EU Rom
Here are the questions:
1- Does this guide work on the new MIUI 12.5?
2- I'm on 12.5.3 Global and The latest EU is 12.5.1 , is that considered a downgrade that will brick my device? Because I heard people are not having luck with downgrades
3- What is the ROM used? Is it a stock EU that I can download from any xiaomi firmware source? Or is it a custom thing
I mean can I just go to xiaomifirmwareupdater and download the EEA version (It's same as the EU ROM right?)
4-I saw people complaining about non responsive touch, does that happen only in recovery? Or is it in the System?
5- Is it better if I only fastboot the EU rom and then flash the custom Recovery? And if not, what version of the firmware should I download, there's a recovery version and a fastboot version (larger than the recovery one)
6- Let's say I got a stable recovery up and running, if a new version is released, can I just download the recovery zip of the rom and dirty flash it to update? Or do I download the OTA update zip and dirty flash it, how do I update in the future without losing my data
7- There is a lot of new recoveries for tucana/Mi Note 10 here on xda, OrangeFox and TWRP included, can we use the new recoveries instead the ones linked in the main post?
Thanks a lot!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to know how can i go back to OxigenOS from LineageOS 18.1. I have tried fastbooting an older version of the Lneage recovery, but in their wiki Is no longer available. Also, i have tried fastbooting the OxigenOS 11 OTA but i am receiving an error that saya "The installed kernel version Is higher than this one"(OxigenOS 11).
Any idea of what can i do?
Thanks!
This is not the thread to post your queries.
Ans to your question is there is a Fastboot flashable rom(flash.all bat file in it) flash that. Flashing it will give oos10 and update to oos11 from there.
[ROM][STOCK][FASTBOOT][OP6] Stock Fastboot ROMs for OnePlus 6
Things are changing with the advent of project treble and seamless updates. OnePlus will no longer release ROMs flashable via stock recovery (with twrp is possible but not recommended). The updates will be done on the slot not used for example...

Thank you, and sorry, this Is my 1st post here. About the flashable ROM, where can i find it?

Hi everyone . Couple of weeks ago I received my 12S Ultra, and started with unlocking process. Phone is currently unlocked and I was looking for threads which show the process of updating it to latest EU rom. I've seen this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-miui-thor-xiaomi-eu-rom-for-xiaomi-12s-ultra.4481389/ thread and wanted to ask if this is up to date? I'd like to install MIUI 14 also if that is possible.
Another list of questions, would updates after flashing be working or would I need to manually update ROM as the releases come, and also are there any significant issues on MIUI 14 or should I go with MIUI 13?
Thanks in advance.
2 versions of rom, Weekly or stable. The weekly is a hybrid rom and for the moment the stable is installed with the TWRP.
Both receive updates via OTA.

Thanks for quick reply, okay so if I understood you correctly after flashing I can just update it directly on the phone when update comes via OTA. For the TWRP installation, so I can't just follow the tutorial and execute the first install script (which formats data) correct?
Just trying to wrap my head around this since I've flash global ROM before but without TWRP. Once more thanks for answering.

Installing TWRP does not require data formatting.
But for the first installation of a Xiaomi EU rom it is advisable to format the data with TWRP or use the first install.bat script depending on the version of the rom.
