I am looking for a cheap set of headphones which supports phone calls for my OPO.
I tried using my iPhone headphones (which do have mic) but the other side won't hear me.

I had Sony headphones "mdr-nc31em" that have 5 poles "TRRRS" they worked great with Sony Xperia x with noise canceling when I switch to Google pixel headphones won't work there's sound out but not clear.
If there's any adapter that will make them work on pixel lemme know please

Can anyone confirm the codecs supported?
My HTC 11+ supported all, SBC, AAC, aptx, aptx-hd and Ldac.
I know the Nex supports aptx and Ldac but does it support AAC? I"m tempted by the Bose qc35s but not if I"m limited to SBC.
Any assistance appreciated.

All I can say is that AAC is listed under developer options/bluetooth codecs.
When I am using the Bose Soundsport the chosen codec is the SBC and AptX for the Sennheiser Momentum.

How would you put it, headphone jack plugged, sound wise quality?

Haven't had the opportunity to compare with the axon 7 but have compared to Galaxy Note 9. With the HiFi turned on in the Vivo Nex settings and the adjustting the equalizer settings, the Vivo blows the Note 9 away. (using Bose qc35 plugged in by the way). Also... When using headphones that are plugged in, you have access to more audio settings that are not available when using headphones via Bluetooth.

Thanks, I tested with a friends beats and my 66 Audio BTS and they both used SBC but used AAC on my HTC U11+.
Its a pity.

I'd put it comparable with the Axon 7 but behind the LG G6's quad dac.

I have a question regarding bullets 2. Do they fit inside ear channel or do they only cover it holding on the ear tips? I think they are missing ANC but what about noise leak from environment?? What about bass and sound quality in general paired with oneplus 7 pro?

I would like to ask if any of you was able to try usb-c headphones with OnePlus 7 Pro? I want to know about sound quality is it better/worst than 3.5 jack or bluetooth? What headphones did you test and what are your experiences?
I use Sony MDR 1000x bluetooth over ear headphones as my daily drivers but want to have some backup headphones specially when it is to hot outside to use over ear ones.
I was thinking about Xiaomi Mi ANC & Type-C since it has some good reviews.

I bought a pair of KZ ES4 used them with the 3.5m adapter from 6T didn't sound that good at all I ordered the Type C addon cable and it improved the loudness and sound quality was much better.
So far I'm impressed with the sound quality over Type C for such a low cost and with Dolby Digital Plus and V4A can tweak it too my liking.

I use the type c from Oneplus and think they're great. Fit well and great sound. The cable feels a tad cheap, but that's the only negative
