Not sure it was like that before, but when charging the charger is getting very very hot: is it normal?
Mine gets hot a bit when the tablet is charging, I think it's normal.

How's your sot on this latest firmware guys and did you notice any improvements from 3.81 firm version? I'm on 3.81 and I'm disapointed about the battery life. It's too short...

I really don't know what you're saying. Sot means screen on time. On the 3.81 firmware I'm getting about 4h sot, just browsing, youtube mainly on wifi, a little bit of data traffic. 4h, no games with screen brightness at minimum is just pathetic... Bad deal with this phone...

Even without updating to the latest version, I sometimes experience that phenomenon. Heck, my phone sometimes blatantly stops charging for no reason at all and I would have to turn off the phone to be able to charge it.
No problems for me thus far, but the battery is extremly week. I wonder if undervolting the cpu would increse a little bit the life per charge cycle... Anyway, I regret buying this phone, but it's my fault entirely that I did...

Unfortunately, my problem escalated quickly. The phone isn't charging anymore and I've tried different cables and chargers. It seems like my xa has a hardware problem, thankfully though I haven't rooted and unlocked the bootloader of this thing. Gomna have to send it back for warranty.

I think it is because QNOVO ADAPTIVE charging
That adapts your charging behaviour
Like many of us leaves the phone to charging over full night that damages the battery
So sony added a featutre qnovo adaptive charging that adapts charging behaviour and if someone is one of those people who left there mobile to plug in full night
It will automatically decreases charging speed from 90 to 100 %

Dash charge stopped working during 84-86%. I have to remove and plug the device many times.
May be the cable, happened to my when dash charge works 1 time / 10 and after wiggling even if the cable was in perfect conditions, i bought a new one a'd now it works, try another cable from a friend if you have before you buy a new one
Above 80% charging, usually the charger is slowimg down by the Ampere..
But the lighting icon is still there as the sign of the dash charge

Dash charge stops every time, charging about 84-86%. Screen showing lightning icon But charging further, the battery does not increase The blue charging indicator also disappeared.
# I have to take off and plug the charger to 87%.
It will charge 100% of the battery.
Fast charging is not working on my poco x3 pro. I'm using the original charger and original cable. It was working fine earlier that shows charging animation like 65.89% (the fast charging animation with increasing numbers after the decimal)
Now it's not showing that fast charging animation and charging speed is reduced a bit. Tried restarting device.
What is the issue? Can anybody suggest a fix

Have you tested it with an app like Ampere??
I'm asking you because the fact that it doesn't show the decimals, doesn't mean the fast charging is not working. Sometimes that happens (software bug) but after that it charges quick anyways.
I mean the same bug happens to me from time to time but the fast charging it's working anyways.
Check for signs of case swelling especially if there's been a drop in battery capacity.
If present replace battery asap.
Erratic fast charging can be a sign of battery failure which can happen at any time but becomes more likely as the battery ages.
i think the new .6 update did this. fast charging is working but the animation of percentage increasing is gone. prolly a bug will be fixed in next update

Tested it with ampere. The charging varies between 12 to 15 watts. I think its a bug in 12.0.6

You're welcome.
Make sure the battery temp is at least 82°F when the charge cycle starts. If the temperature is too low fast charging will not engage.
I have that 87-92°F works best*.
If it too hot fast charging will disengage, usually above 101°F or so.
Fast charging will disengage at about the 70-80% charge level then low level charge after 90% to avoid battery damage.
On a new phone I would suspect a hardware failure; the brick or cable, charging port PCB or mobo.
It should want to go.
*keep an eye on the temperature as it charges and cool as needed to keep the temperature between 85-99F or so. Fast charging can create a lot of heat fast. Some heat is needed, excess is not. As ambient temperatures exceed 85-90F cooling will be needed.

Current multiply by voltage for normal charge.
Ampere x Voltage = Watt
Normal charge has 5V.
Is this normal? When my screen is on while charging, it stays around 1000mA and when screen is off, it goes upto 2800mA approximately.
My device is just 2 days old and updated to 12.0.5.0 (Indian Variant)

Normal. Phones charge faster when screen off.
Observe 15~20 minutes screen off and also record the battery percentage before and after.
Can't know if it's fast charge or normal charge with only amperage.
Turn on super power saving and then leave the device to charge itself
It will receive full 33w with full charge in an hour or so
For me this animation sometimes does not work but the charging speed is same. Miui is full of random bugs

dis the answer, it's totally software bug... you should clear data on "Theme" and speed animation charging will back!

So out of nowhere my phone has stopped fast charging both wired and wirelessly. I'm using the same wall charger and cable and even my car had a fast charging adapter and also does not work anymore. I tried my old LG phone and it still fast charges using the same chargers/cables that used to work with my pixel 7 pro.
What could be wrong?
Try toggling the fast charge setting on/off 3 times. Try a hard reboot.
If intial battery temperature is too low or high at start of charge fast charging will not engage. Best start temperature is 82F.
A battery failure will skew fast charging.
Any recent upgrades or updates?
Possible firmware corruption or a hardware failure. Use DeviceChek to view the temperature sensors to see if their readings are nominal. A false low or high can disable fast charging.

Try cleaning out your charging port. You may have debris in it. It's surprising how much lint and dust gets into the charging port.

Except wireless fast charging isn't working as well.
A port pcb failures is possible as they interact with the charging and other systems.

There was a recent google update that maybe caused it. I wasn't really paying attention but this issue has started very recently.

Power settings probably. That's a trick used for Samsung's. After updates double check settings.
Personally I never upgrade or update firmware if it's fulfilling its mission... you're starting to see why

It does but the fast charging speed increase is more modest than with cable charging.
Personally I never use this because it's inefficient and generates more heat. The C port can withstand (or should) many thousands of use cycles. They are fairly robust compared to the old micro ports, they seldom fail.

Try toggling adaptive charging. Pixels power settings differ from Samsung's it seems. Fast charging originates from Google Android... different flavors.
Try a different outlet on another electrical circuit. There may be a wiring fault.
Try replacing the Google brick and cable with a new pair. Always good to have a backup. It may seem like overkill but it's also the easiest and most obvious solution.
Shoot no luck. Turned off adaptive battery stuff, shut the phone off, booted it back up, switched adaptive stuff on ...still no fast charging.
Major bummer
May have to speak to Google about a repair

It's not the phone, it's physics. Fast charging generates a fair amount of heat.
In ambient temperatures of 90-95+°F cooling is needed for fast charging; a fan and/or a damp microfiber cloth. Fast charging will disengage if the battery temperature reaches approximately 102F. Charging will disengage completely at about 106F to avoid damaging the phone.
Charging beyond 82% in high ambient temperatures isn't a good plan for battery longevity...
I just checked my battery temp and it's just above room temperature at 23C (73F)

Thanks for lecture from physics. No, its phone.
I am not talking about issue, that it wont fast charge for very long.
Iam talking about how fast charge never even engage, even when phone is low on battery.
And I never keep my phone on sunlight, also never game on my phone. Thermal management on pixel is just crap.
