Hi,
So after smashing up my S7 i have got a Pixel 1 with Android 7.1 installed, the previous owner said he hadnt updated due to possible problems.
I have read quite a bit about people having battery issues with v9 and others saying their battery usage improved, and people saying v8 was best, then v9 has better camera software......
so
1) Should I update to v9
2) Can I manually update to v8 if I want?
Any advice or more websites to read?
Thanks
My only suggestion would be to unlock your bootloader if it isn't already, it will save you some drama if you get bootlooped at any point in the future if you choose to update.
I'm on stock 10 at the moment and can't say battery is any worse than 9, I get a days use out of a charge on calls, texts, bit of browser, messaging, labs and the odd photo.
I did briefly read about the bootloader at some point, if I unlock it it doesnt affect the phone in any other way does it?
And from what I remember I will need an unlocked bootloader to downgrade?
Thanks
I unlocked the bootloader as soon as I got mine, you will have to put up with the brief warning screen on a reboot or boot up and Google pay and banking apps may play you up as it may not pass CTS profile check but as I don't use banking apps etc it don't bother me (there are workarounds for that if you search)
You'll be able to flash what you want with it unlocked, from factory images to custom ROMs etc

The only way it affects the phone is if lost or stolen it will be easy to just reinstall android OS and use the phone again. Also anyone can get your data which is on the phone. This is the only risk of having unlocked bootloader.
Well if you won't unlock it, at some point you MAY end up with bootlooping device, which you won't be able to use. I recommend to unlock and NEVER relock bootloader!
As to what OS to install. I highly recommend after unlocking bootloader just flash android 10. It works GREAT. I can show you my battery life.

I ALWAYS get more then 4 hours SOT. No matter what i do. Play games, LTE and so on. The only thing i do not do i almost never use GPS.
Best Android version is the latest. This is a Pixel not a Samsung or Huawei. It's made to run the latest.
Thanks for your recomendations.
I've unlocked the bootloader and currently downloading v9 then hopefully 10 and will see what happens
1.5 hours on hill climbing 2 and youtube, that is very impressive!!! My s7 would be close to dead after playing a game for that long
installed v10 and everything seems to be all good so far, no problems at all.
thanks
Android 10 = Best for *any* Pixel (so far)

The family has Pixels at both ends (Mom has an original; I have a 3a) - the quirk is that I bought mine new, but she bought hers refurbished (after she turned down a new 3a XL for Mother's Day - she complained it costs too much). Both are running dead-stock 10 (in both cases, by choice). In her case, it's definitely because of the Camera (app) - which is why I wanted to buy her a 3a XL; she has ALWAYS been picky about pictures. I have not been - largely because I seldom take ANY pictures; with the Samsung S7 (which I used for a year before replacing it with the 3a) I took twenty pictures. Total. Therefore why would I normally care about either the camera hardware OR the Camera app on the phone? (Hence "#whatcamera".) The $0.64USD (sixty-four cents in US currency) question is how much is the Camera app of the Pixel 4 modified from the 3a series - if at all? (I'm hearing a lot of bragging on the Pixel 4's Camera app - even compared to that of the 3a. However, the same app that is on the 3a is on every Pixel that got stock 10 (which is all of them - unless the owners said NYET); what if the same thing is true with the Pixel 4's Camera app is what is true with the app in all the predecessors - better software, not better hardware? I'll let the technowizards dig; meanwhile I'll simply enjoy the deadliest stock camera (app) on any phone - at darn near any price.

What percentage was your pixel after 1.5 hour hill climbing 2 and youtube?
Once i played hill climbing for 4 hours in parts throughout the day and my OG Pixel worked great even had some 20% after.

I havent played any games or youtube on my pixel yet, but I have been impressed with battery life so no complaints from me so far.
Not a huge fan of the fingerprint on the back as i often use my phone with it on the desk, but apart from that i am very impressed with the phone as a whole

You don't HAVE to use the fingerprint reader - my mom doesn't (hers is PIN-only). The reason I do is because that is what I am used to (came from the S7 - which was pattern+PIN; my 3a is fingerprint reader+PIN).
Actually battery life worsened on android 10 for me, performance is slightly worse and phone overheats with easy tasks which wasn't the case on android 9. I'll be downgrading pretty soon after I back up my data.

SYNET7LP 7" 16:9 800x480, 1GHz, 256 RAM, 2GB IS / 32GB ES, 1920x1080p HDMI, 802.11b,g, 2x USB, Android OS 2.1
Full on going review.. (note I just got this late last night)
Sears/K-Mart Lowered Price .... Veterans Day Special?
Just picked this up in-store for $149.95 plus tax. So far it has booted extremely fast. Trying to confirm the Android OS version. Website says 512MB of memory (which I took as ram) but the box says 256MB. Was told by telephone support that it had a camera but that is not the case (picture on some sites looks like it has a camera but this model my local Sears had does not have a camera).
Too bad about the camera. It may be going back although I like the HDMI output....
No G-sensor! (at least on mine). Have to pick the orientation by upper menu selection (although had to change the setting from automatic to reveal that feature).
Battery life??? Seriously?
I picked up one of these yesterday and was very impressed at first...
As soon as I remove it from the charger (fully charged) the battery drops to 85%. At first I gave it the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to a bug...
After less than two hours of heavy web browsing and full screen brightness the battery was dead... I chalked it up to my usage, plugged it into the charger and went to bed.
This morning at work I turned it on and set up my email. I turned the screen brightness down to low, the display time out to a minute, and disabled wifi. I let the screen time out to, what I assumed, was standby mode and went about my work. I came back a hour and a half later and the battery was at 14%!! I clicked on battery usage and something called 'Cell Standby' was taking up 80%... Now its dead with no way to charge it until I get home (won't charge from usb).
I'll search for a why to possibly disable whatever 'Cell Standby' is but this thing is probably going back to sears TONIGHT!
i was thinking of grabbing one of these, so i emailed them and asked if 2.2 was ever gonna be on option for these tablets. Got this response:

Hello my name is Josh, and I work for Digital Gadgets Customer Service.
I received your email about the Sylvania 7-inch tablet.
From what I understand you want to know when will the 2.2 update will be available.
At the moment I do not have an ETA on it, but there be a software update for 2.2 sometime this month.
You should received an email letting you know when it is available.
If you have any further questions please email me at [email protected].

Mine is sitting waiting for UPS to pick it up. with the possibility of 2.2 that gets me hoping more that this one pans out and isn't a defective POS like the Maylong.

Not too much happening on the Sylvania thread. I got mine today. I will be returning it since I ordered an Archos 70 today, but I will play with it for a few days anyway and comment on my experiences with it here.

EDIT: Oh I see you where you got that from. That is good news.
Fred, did you hear that they may upgrade it to 2.2?
Sylvania
First impressions are that the menu button on the back sucks. There should be one on the front of the device. I did install the Aldiko app the market place without any problem. I just find it annoying that to pull up a table of contents I have to push this small button on the back of the device instead of one on the front.
Should be delivered by the time I get home today.
Yea, I saw that they plan on doing 2.2 (probably get it before I get the official one for my Captivate).
I saw the video about potential upgrade issues. So I' figure I'll load everything up before I do the upgrade.
That Archos 70 looks decent, have to let us know how that one is too.
If I take the Sylvania back I still have a couple under $200 units I might try, If not I guess I move up into the near $300 range.
Sylvania
I spent a few more hours with this thing today. There does seem to be a battery issue with the device. I charged it up for 8 hours last night and within 5 minutes of turning it on I had downloaded the battery booster app, checked the status of the battery, and it showed a remaining charge of 75%. I would say from that point on I got around 2.5 hours of use browsing the internet, reading, and downloading a couple other apps. The lack of a g-sensor/accelerometer was not a big deal for me since I could change the screen orientation using the button provided. Maybe this is more of an issue with some games--I don't know.
Otherwise, I like the weight and balance of the tablet. The screen size is ideal for me to read on and I hold it fairly easily with one hand. The resistive screen works fine with a stylus or a fingernail. It does not work well with the ball of the fingertip, however.
I don't think there is a significant overheating issue. It does get obviously warmer during charging but I am usually holding the edges of the device so it wasn't a big deal.
Assuming an upgrade is forthcoming to 2.2, and assuming it improves the battery life closer to 4 hours, I would say this is a decent tablet. However, assuming the Coby Kyros comes available soon for about the same price, I would check it out first since it has a menu button on the front and because an accelerometer is included.
P.S.
I have stayed away from doing any software updates that may exist to this point. It sounds like they may cause more problems than they resolve.
Got mine last night, yea I have the weird battery meter issue too.
Loaded up a ton of stuff that I had on my Captivate, so far so good.
Did the upgrade and didn't have any issues, was still able to install apps unlike that video that is out indicated.
Also got it rooted with no problem using Z4Root, rooted in about 2 minutes, so I got Titanium Backup on it and CPU Tuner going on it.
So far I'm really liking this and if they keep their promise with the fixes and upgrade this is a sweet little device.
Between rooting it and doing the upgrade the battery issue seems to have resolved itself.
The only thing I have found is certain apps will change the screen orientation for a reason not related to the app and I get the force close warning now and then, but if I click WAIT instead it comes right back.
Funny the only web site that I seem to have a problem loading is XDA, and the XDA app seems to crash every time after I log in.
Other than that, I'm satisfied with this for what I wanted it to be. But I can see myself getting a decent tablet to replace my one netbook once it is out with gingerbread or honeycomb.
Battery
I had charged it 8 hours and it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it in the charger and it wouldn't boot up past the Sylvania logo. I performed a reset and was able to boot-up. I then immediately performed the update mentioned in the Sylvania booklet. It is now charging.
I am beginning to to think that the battery booster app that I downloaded doesn't work properly with this device since the readings are always seem dubious. Anyone have a battery app that they think works for their Sylvania?
P.S.
The booklet specifically says to take out the SD card when doing the update or they will be deleted.
Installing apps
After completing the update, everything seemed to be working fine but I just tried to download and install a new app and I am receiving the error message that the SD card can't be found. I have removed and reinserted the SD card a couple of times to verify it is seated properly and the OS is recognizing it since I can use file manager to explore the contents on the card.
At this point it doesn't really matter since I am planning to take it back anyway, but it does seem that the update causes problems.
I got that error immediately after the update, took the SD card out put it back in and it's been fine.
I'm using a 8Gig Kingston card, wonder if the card has anything to do with it?
There are2 usb ports the one is host only.
The other one is non-functioning until they release the net firmware update which they told me is in beta and should be out shorly.
How to reset?
Elmonica - or anyone else who has performed the reset -
How is this done? I see the reset button on the back, but if I press it while the unit is on, the screen goes blank (looks like powering off) and nothing happens.
The documentation online stinks and the manual leaves a lot to be desired. Any feedback is appreciated!
I also stood in line at Toys R Us and picked one of these up for $139.
And I also noticed the battery being chewed up very quickly on what seems like a full charge. For example, used it for 2 hours yesterday and set it down with 61% battery remaining, after about 6 hours of stand by - dead.
Looking at the running processes it appears the dev's didn't disable the cell phone portion of the OS.
aLogCat also reporting loads of fails on the radio buffer:
E/RIL (1957): opening data channel device - /dev/ttyUSB0. retrying...
Also, if you check your running processes and battery usage statistics you'll see the "Dialer" and "Cell" processes running. Not sure why.
I've tried killing these via term but they start back up again.
Maybe killing the WiFi before I set it down will save some juice.
After rooting it I got some battery improvement. But certain apps still time out on occasion and I'll get a run away key stroke while typing that is really annoying.

Have you had a chance to load a different launcher? I loaded ADW and got away from that goofy launcher. One press of the home screen gets you all the apps you have installed and press it again for a screen with widgets. Whats the point of having widgets if they are not on the screen full time?
Now I have to figure out how to disable the cell/radio process for good and also kill that silly yahoo api weather widget.
Next step is to solve how get adb working....

I also have an X5, which won't let me into the play store. On the odd occasion it will get to the home page, but then brings the message up saying "unfortunately Google play store has stopped"... I have tried a hard reset, resetting the cache, forcing the app to close and reinstalling it.
Non of which works. Please help it is driving me nuts! Thanx in advance Andie
I am still having this problem. No Google play. I have tried the manufacturer and got no reply. This is a great phone for my everyday work, but the backup is less than poor.....
no issues here
Hi,
I finally got my Runbo X5!
Mine was delivered with 4.0.4, and it runs smoothly, however, when I try the update feature I have the same "sim not registered to server" issue.
I used the "many ics root" method, it works on the runbo in normal mode. Just don' forget to disable usb storage mode (mine was in camera mode during the hack). Unfortunately, I don't have the rights to post in that forum to report it's working with this model... it would be nice if someone could report to Bin4ry.
Infos when booting in firmware:
Modem ver: MAUI.11AMD.W12.22.SP.V5.P2, 2012/09/25 15:10
UBoot Ver. : 2010.06
Kernel ver: 3.0.13, compiled with gcc 4.4.3
Android ver 4.0.4
SW ver: A105_K508_RunboX5-W-EN_20130410_V2.3.5
Custom Build Verno. : 20130410.173452
Unfortunately, I havn't found any custom recovery to backup everything so far.

I just found a page full of official Runbo roms.
I didn't give it a try yet, but it might be a good resource for an interested dev.

Hello guys... I am struggling with my Runbo X5 unit.
I got it three days ago and I have big issue with its battery.
First: it charges SLOW. It is so slow if I am charging it when it is ON. In one hour the battery loads up of no more than 2% of charge.
And when it reaches 99% it stops charging. It actually did charge up to 100% but only once. After that, 99% and so slowly.
It is only me experiencing this?
Thanks!

Update. I was very pissed off this stuff and I tried reverting the firmware back to 201305. Battery went up to 100%.
Now I really want to see if it will be also LOAD fast - that is what really matters.
Hi folks,
did any of you get some custom rom running on the X5 yet? Currently thinking of getting one but would like to at least upgrade to latest available AOSP. From what I got back from Runbo support they don't have anything themselves.
Cheers!

So, it sounds like the X5 is a big piece of crap at this point.
Overheats on a device rated for 60 degree C, slow performance considering specs and generally a bad user experience with many problems.
Dissapointing for me as my xperia Z just died due to overheat. Looking for a more hard wearing replacement.

How to instal CWM for Runbo x5???

Hey, the x5 isn't a piece of crap! Had mine for 5 months, no problems at all. Much faster than my previous phone, an HTC Titan which had a 1.5 gig processor. Get from 3 to 6 days on a charge, no need for an extended battery or case, tho I do use a screen protector. I'm really happy with ics, so don't know if it can be upgraded to later versions. When I watch a video it gets warm but never shuts down.
Just one tip, when phone has been on a full charge cycle, about 6 hours, I always do a soft reset to clear memory and cache , and I find this helps with battery life.[COLOR="S

Hi all,
So I got a Samsung galaxy s7 from o2 yesterday. It's less than 24 hours old, and it seems to run quite hot!
Sometimes it'll be next to me, I'll pick it up, send a few texts and browse the internet and I can feel warmth/heat coming from just near to the camera.
It's also frozen on three occasions where I've been on chrome. The screen and all buttons become completely unresponsive, and even holding the power button down doesn't do anything, for a while at least.
I've read on Google factory resetting can help, but surely that shouldn't apply considering this was fresh as of yesterday? I'm pretty sure my phone shouldn't be crashing and being unresponsive so quickly into its life.
Question is, is this a fault? Or software?
It can sometimes, I would recommend resetting it, giving it some time and if needed taking it back for replacement

Hi. I went through the same issue a few weeks back. Mine was a unlocked uk model brand new.
I did everything from factory resetting, to installing firmware from scratch and nothing helped.
Ultimately for me I believe it was a hardware issue and ended up returning for a full refund.
Also for me I was getting a lot of random reboots.
My model was manufactured in march.
Used the phone info app on Google play to check.

Hi mate thanks for replying.
Mine was made in April according to that app.
I think I fixed the issue, and it was to do with 'Mediaserver' being the number one thing using my battery up. So I reset the phone, cleared the cache etc and it seems to work fine now with no crashes. It's a shame because the average user would just buy the phone and not even think about doing what I did.
My phone still gets warm though. Did you find that? And if applicable does your new s7 gets warm too?

Mine gets warm too, so I downloaded GSam to monitor the temperature. After monitoring the temperature for a while I realized that my nexus 5 runs hotter but I don't notice it cause it's made out of plastic instead of metal/glass.

Yours is rooted? Why is Knox flipped?
Yes, it is or was. I was having the problems before rooting and after rooting.
Made no difference at all.
Mine was just defective. No software updates made a difference.
Phone : Samsung s7 G930F
Android: MM 6.0.1
I went into o2 store earlier today explained the problem, and because i was in my 14 day period i got it replaced no questions asked. So far even though this phone was manufactured a month prior to the one i returned (March), it seems fine and was only warm downloading the latest updates. Hopefully im on to a winner here!
Hey,
I have the same problem!
I have tried many things but not rooted my phone or did any modificiation.
I found out that I got these problems because of my Spotify App and I am sure the actual version of Spotify causes a big problem deep in the system of the S7.
Have you an idea how I could prove that?
I removed my Spotify App for 2 weeks and had not even one problem. Since I reinstalled Spotify, I get all those issues again

So the new one doesn't get slightly warm after browsing for more than 20 minutes?
Are you using a case?

Slightly warm. Was during downloads etc but not anything abnormal or to worry about. The other handset was clearly faulty.
No case either for now.
How stable is your Moto X Pure Edition? What's the greatest length of time that you've kept your device going without restarting or running the battery to shutdown?
Share your best records and the story behind them!
I just reached mine last night (see attached picture). That equals out to just over 35 days. The reason for the eventual reboot was because I triggered some kind of weird glitch that made everything on the screen go all washed-out. No matter what I did, nothing short of rebooting the device would make it go away, so I had to give up my streak.
This would be a good thread. Mine usually runs fine till 6-7 days then I could notice stuttering or frame drops which gets solved with a reboot.

You definitely rarely reboot.
I have never tried to see how long I could let it go. I reboot once a week just to avoid issues.
Any other records? Why do people reboot their MXPE?
It looks like that 75 day figure is the record so far.

Interesting. What kind of issues do you try to avoid? I'd also be curious to know the main reasons why people reboot. Whether it's the screen glitch, a catastrophic software malfunction, the installation of an Xposed Framework module, or even just because the battery ran down, I would love to hear what "broke" your records as well.
I reboot as many apps get buggy the longer they are up.

I'm just trying to avoid issues in general. I've been doing this from before my Pure days. I've had a few instances of problems with network connectivity after 3 to 5 days off usage on this device with the only way to fix it is by rebooting. This just reinforced my weekly habit.
I hope that the uptime improves for you

I used to have to reboot rather frequently with the Galaxy Note 2 as well. For some reason, the auto-rotation system would completely stop working within 2-4 days of having used the dialer app. It was weird because, when this happened, the tilt sensor would behave weirdly in applications that made use of it and auto-rotation would only work in the dialer (and a couple of other apps). Even stranger was the fact that it would magically start working again as soon as "auto brightness" was enabled (but fail as soon as this feature was turned back off). It was a known issue with that particular rom, but went on to ultimately never be solved. If it wasn't for that one pesky problem, I could've probably hit a month (or more) of uptime on that phone too.
At any rate, I hope you get the network connectivity issue resolved. You might've seen the long thread on the issue that I posted a few months back, and I never did get to the bottom of it. Hard reset was the only cure. Thankfully, the bug hasn't come back, even though my setup is pretty much the same as it was before.
Endurance record!
Hit another high score! Only reason I shut it down was to replace the battery. Works out to a little more than 50 days.
People have been really *****y about the delayed software release, but I'm glad that they took their time and allowed us to not only achieve this kind of stability, but also multi-window and night mode. The Moto X Pure Edition truly is the ideal smartphone. :good:

Yeah, it's definitely difficult to pin down. I've only seen it 2-3 times in almost a year and a half of ownership, so it's hardly a serious enough issue to raise a fuss about.

Solid run! That's somewhere short of 3 months, which is very impressive, especially when you consider that some people don't even keep their phones that long .
Good share.

when I rebooted I realised that I forgot my pin code and I've locked my sim card XD I'm not recommending such a long runs if you have short memory xd. Btw phone was running perfectly fine without any slowdows.
What is the support for unlocked and for root and roms like? What is your experience if you have it, pros & cons? what would make it perfect? whats it missing?

It's an early scene for roms there's a few out there ... But support usually falls off
Not an expert by any means, but it was very easy to root--especially with the Pixel Flasher. Haven't tried any custom ROMs yet, as I'm pretty happy with the Android 13 beta releases.

Cons is the sub par battery performance and lack of straight out of the box VoLTE & 5G support for non official supported country
Pros is as usual : easy to unlock, root etc, great camera.
If i didn't pick 7 pro, i might already pick Xiaomi 12s Ultra. It has better hardware all around, including camera. But i still prefer google's software & OS iteration, although i kinda hope google to actually cherry pick some other great features from other OEMs software/ROM
Battery life seems to be pot luck to be honest, mine is stella compared to what my Pixel 6 Pro was, i often don't charge it on an evening if its lead a fairly light day and I've never seen it go below 15% even when i have absolutely battered the living daylights out of it.
Very easy to root, and with the stock build being as close to vanilla as you can get, absolutely no need for custom roms in my view.
My battery life since day one back in mid-October has been fantastic with a slight downward turn on the December build. Back up to what I was getting previously on January though.

I'm not sure about if and when you updated, but I suggest you try disabling adaptive battery, I feel like my SoT and idle are a bit better with it disabled.

Not to turn this away from the OP's queries and get off-topic, but same. Can't seem to nail down the cause. Completely stock too, so I'm assuming it's something in a recent firmware update. Hopefully it returns to it's previously glorious battery life.

It is a bit off topic, but I’m not sure it derailing his questions because this is a legitimate concern with this device. I think this weekend I’m going to do another factory reset and stay with the stock kernel even though I don’t believe kernel related, I still have to tested just to make sure.
@MarcoReckless I took that advice about two weeks ago, and that made it even worse.

I came from a OnePlus 7T to the Pixel 6--out of sheer curiosity. I liked the 6 so much, that I couldn't resist the 7 when it was announced...and sprung for the Pro. I've been really happy with it. I'm not a poweruser by any means, so I haven't put it thru any severe tests. You might try reddit if you're looking for "cons" on the phone--there are always plenty of complaints over there! ;-) (Just remember that 'satisfied' people speak up less in general.)

That's a valid point regarding the topic. I think I've seen you on the Kiri kernel thread? I'm completely stock (that was painful to write haha) since I wanted to wait for development to mature a bit, so I'm assuming it's firmware related since we are running different kernels. Idle drain and SoT are both affected on my device. I even disabled my VPN app to see if maybe it was some sort of network strain, but it's literally the same. Please keep me posted if you wipe over the weekend and it helps. The drain isn't crazy for me, but enough that I feel it and end the day ~15% lower than a couple weeks ago.
There is more custom ROM support for this device that's been out for 3 months than there usually is for other devices that have been out for a year. It's not as visible here because a number of these devs moved to Telegram where they can make their own rules rather than here where they're required to provide sources and are expected to actually be helpful to people making requests of them but there are a bunch of them out there and in my opinion, the best ones are on XDA anyway.
I actually had an issue with my display and I was expecting the worst but they sent me to a uBreakiFix and I walked out with a new screen in less than an hour after less than 20 minutes chatting with a Pixel support rep, and I got it repaired the same day even. When that screen proved to be defective too, uBreakiFix replaced it a second time without me even having to contact Google and that took about an hour. If I still had my OnePlus, that would have been weeks of mailing and waiting, and that's assuming they didn't try to tell me it was my fault like they have with other people who got green lines on their screens with no visible damage and were charged hundreds to repair it. This earned Google a lot of points in my book.

As you can see, it gets me through a day or so. The high screen off usage is largely driven by how much I use VLC to shuffle play videos with the screen off when I'm sleeping at night. During the day it's something like 2% which is not the best but honestly I don't care as long as I get through a day or so without charging.
I do have one thing to gripe about though - this modem is not a 3GPP Release 16 modem. This means it's missing a number of new frequencies. This affects me personally as AT&T has 40MHz of 3.45GHz n77 spectrum deployed here and the phone cannot use it, only 3.7GHz n77 that they cannot use here until 2024. Additionally this phone doesn't support n70 or n48 for Dish's wireless, who will actually be switching me from AT&T's towers to their own in the coming months (I have Boost Infinite), so I am keeping an eye out to see what flagships launch this year with those bands supported to decide if I'm dumping the Pixel or not (unfortunately the S23 Ultra is looking like it won't support n70 even though the modem in it does). I guess that at least gives me some time to see how my phone performs with the missing bands when I get the new Boost Infinite SIM card - it may not be necessary for me to switch phones regardless.
Oh yeah and the charging is slow. About 1h55m to charge to 100%. You can get 50% in 30 minutes though so it hasn't been a real issue either.

My idle drain when I first flashback to stock last weekend was about 1% and now it’s up to about 3% and my active drain, which started out around 5% is typically anywhere from 9 to 13%.
This is from right now after just having put it back on my car charger.
Any other conversation about this particular topic, I think we should move to the battery drain thread on page 2 of this forum

That is, indeed, quite a leap for less than a week of use. Mine isn't quite that bad yet but it is slowly getting there. Much agreed on continuing the conversation in the appropriate thread and my apologies to the OP. Didn't intend to hijack this thread.

pixel7pro is one of the best phone you can get in 2023.
I wish Google put the annoying front camera under display and not cutting that hole in middle of the screen.
p7p has easy root and no need for a custom ROM anymore.

I live less than 10 minutes from Dish Wireless's HQ at the Dish Riverfront site (that used to actually be Dish's HQ period before they moved to Englewood, the street at Riverfront is even called Echostar although I can't remember if it's Drive, Lane, or what) and would like to work for them... With my knowledge of all these things I could at the very least be worth having in tech support, that's even without my 6 years of experience doing customer service, sales, tech support, and help desk roles... Unfortunately they seem to only be interested in full timers and my status as being disabled (panic disorder and agoraphobia which is why their work from home positions were very appealing to me) and looking to re-enter the workforce just doesn't really make it seem like it's worth my time trying to convince them otherwise. It's unfortunate too as I help run one of the largest subreddits dedicated to phone plans and could be very useful as they try to get Infinite off the ground. I even had a customer service rep try to convince me to join them as she recognized me by my name on reddit but she herself said that if I can't work full time, it's probably a non-starter.
It is fascinating what they are trying to do though. Swimming with the big fish is going to take some talented people. I am cheering from the sidelines.
