[UPDATE ISSUE FIXED] Honor 6X Display colour and contrast issue in games

Hey everyone, if anyone plays clash of clans or boom beach on their honor 6x then please help me out. The contrast feels abnormally high in clash of clans compared to other phones and there's this weird brightess and dimming going on in the game. Can anyone confirm this or know a solution to it?

yes,i have the same problem....

If you are playing indoors then turn off automatic brightness, that should help with the brightness problems.

I have auto brightness turned off. It is more of a screen dimming problem rather than a brightness problem, looks like a software issue like huawei tried to optimize something. Can you please just confirm if you have it the same way when playing coc?

yes,it seems like when the game start,the software activates a screen mode that changes colors

Have you tried adjusting the screen settings in the Settings Menu?

hi,with the new update (b130 ) in some games the colors doesn't change as before

I'm on B132. I still have this issue.

Possible a screen defect?

Sorry,i was wrong.i still have this problem and the colors are more "red/orange“.

Don't think replacement will be possible now and seems it some good amount of time you have phone with you now whereas the replacement may be applicable only for fee days of purchase

Mine is less than 10days. Replacement is still available. My question is, whether everyone has this problem or only few. If everyone, there's no use in replacing.

Settings - Display - Color Temperature nd set color temperatur as Default OK

While using the camera the upper side of phone is getting very hot. Any suggestions..??

Yes but they are complex

That's quite normal if you capture videos in long term (especially if you're shooting 1080p 60fps)

Got alerted via my phone that an update was available, so downloaded and installed it.

yes i have .and installed it.

Yup i got a july update. but mine was different mine was from sammy and included a feature in the navagation bar. Now i have the option to hide nav bar. Im sure it included some other fixes but im not sure what they said.

I recieved my update about 4 or 5 days ago, i think...hell iv slept since then?

Yep got it last week, didn't notice any difference.

I was only offered this update OTA this morning.
But one thing I noticed right away - the Trusted Places unlock is now working as it should. Previously it was very hit and miss.

[Q]Pixel 2/2XL Portrait mode and HDR+ on Pixel and Pixel XL possibility ?!?!?

I wonder if the new portrait algorithm and HDR+ will ever be able to make it to the Pixel/Pixel XL? I don't see why it could not be able to do it? From my understanding, the Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL could be using the same camera as the HTC U11 since google bought out HTC's mobile department. Both cameras are 12mp 1.4um PDAF dual pixel sensors.
We all know how wonderful the original Pixel/Pixel XL sensor is so I don't see why google cannot make their new algorithm work. Hopefully a wonderful developer can take the apk and work their magic if google do not release an official update.
I wonder if the same Russian Developers BSG can extract the apk and do his thing like what he did with the modded version he has now. Sucks I can't type in Russian or else I would ask him myself.

Why does everyone think that the portrait mode done on the Pixel 2 is purely software based? It's not, it has special hardware to do it, do people even read?

IMO, Pixel 2 using same sensor camera (IMX 362, Dual-pixel, PDAF) hardware phone like HTC U11, ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom and even Moto G5 Plus.
So, if any dev can ported it software, maybe it can works with other phone with same sensor, support PDAF (dual-pixel).

I heard on a Pixel review video that the Pixel 2 Camera APK can be put onto the pixel... does anyone have a link on where this is done? Thanks!

No, lol. I was actually not being sarcastic by that comment so sorry if it sounded like that. Maybe I should have said, have fun instead haha. Those are safe but the newest ones are test/beta and there are some stable ones. Just go through the link and read up on changelogs and stuff. I use Arnovas gcam which I prefer. The different devs has different preference so basically you'll have to test them out for yourself and see what you prefer.

Just slide up instead of touching. Works more accurate in my opinion

Certainly, if the backup with Xperia companion would work maybe. many people have problems with the fingerprint so it's software problem in my opinion.

Nah Xperia 1 has a very bad FP sensor, I checked with my old XZ Premium which works very well.

I got mine working relatively well, when I registered fingerprint the second time (after deleting it) I used to fingers during one registration (index and thumb). I just wanted to see what would happen, now it takes both fingers say... 2/3 times.
