Viper4android abnormal/unsupported on OG Pixel XL - Android 10 - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Ok so I've already tried the solution for Pixel 2 devices provided here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/help/android-q-viper4android-compatible-t3929914/page2
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the OG Pixel. I've tried combining it with Audio Modification Library and Audio Compatibility Patch to no avail.
Has anyone has got it working so far on android Q? Thinking about downgrading to Pie at this point.
Thank you for any help

I got it working, head over this thread. From this page, I wrote how to install it, then some others reported that selinux must be set to permissive. Than it will work :good:

Arise on 8.1 DP2?

Has anyone managed to get Arise working on 8.1 DP2? I just gave it a shot with magnum opus but couldn't get the driver to install. Just thought I'd ask because I couldn't find a thread on it and MusicFX sounds terrible.

I have V4A currently installed on my Pixel 8.0.0 OPR3.170623.013 I used the Elememental X Kernal with Magisk
I used the customized arise_customize.prop with the ARISE+Deuteronomy+3.09+SwanSong+Modular+Installer.zip I found the post here on XDA, but can't remember exactly where. I can post the files and instructions if you need.

OP was asking about the Beta 8.1 Developer's Preview 2. Viper works on 8.0, but, as far as I know, it still does not work on Beta 8.1 Developer's Preview 2.

Gcam mod support thread

Hey guys! I think that there isnt a GoogleCam support thread for the Sony XZ3, so let's start one!
All of the ports for the Google Camera can be found on this site: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/. The problem is our Sony XZ3 isn't supported by the newer versions. I have tried one older version that was working, but the quality was bad compared to the stock cam so it wasnt worth it.
Let's use this thread to find a working settings file for the newer Google Camera ports or for discussion on anything related to this port for XZ3.
We need fully supported gcam for Sony XZ3.
Any updates?

Don't think so, the problem is with the level of support that the Camera gives, I can't recall the exact thing, but it was something along the lines whether the camera can support RAW output, which is not the case with the XZ3.

No solution to get raw support. Too bad for xz3. So unlocked BL only for taste new android without any camera mod?

Wow, that does say enabling Camera2Api, have you tried that?
Has anyone tried magisk mod on XZ3 for Gcam? Has it worked for anyone? Any updates will be helpful. Really stressed that this device is capable enough but is tied down by software limitations.

Android 12 beta port for op8t

Is there any port of android 12 for our device? I see there are ports fot op8 and op8pro. Can they he used for ours?
Im currently testing if beta 2 gsi will work bia DSU. First boot with it just got an Android 11 dsu but im trying the second option it gives which i believe is just without gms. At this point I don't think that will be any different but ill update after I try it.
Update: as i expected that still didn't work. I suspect in order for ot to actually load an Android 12 system the gsi build needs special OnePlus keys.
Also, can you provide a link to these ports you're talking of? Im not finding anything on xda or via a google search.
Hi. This is the link to video and files

Question Bluetooth Not working on pixel experience Edit: now works fine

If i try to connect my bluetooth headphones on pixel experience they dont work can someone tell me how to fix this?
Edit: i found the solution if you guys are having problems like me make sure you have the "Use System Wide BT HAL" checkbox enabled on the Misc page of Treble App. If not, enable and reboot.

Offtopic but your post made me realize it was a treble setting behind why V4A or any other audio mods weren't working. This was a problem that confused me for weeks. Thank you.

Question Xiaomi 13 GSI

Hi! Has anyone tried to flash a GSI rom on Xiaomi 13? If yes how does it work?
Thanks in advance
Currently there is no GSI working on this model AFAIK. Wait for device specific ports instead.
---
EDIT: This is not true. See the replies below.

Nope, I don't install gsi rom on my devices.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/2 ARM64(V9) - X86.
GSI on Xiaomi 12 Pro
after testing several Treble GSis, I finally found CherishOS. Most of them are not booting, or other issues (no mobile data, only calling, settings are crashing,....). Save your time and choose CherishOS. How I flashed it: 1. clean flash...

They may have others with less bugs or updates.

As written above, do research on devices with the same soc, One plus, Samsung etc.
There are surely some with little or no bug.

I am using Project elixir for almost 2 weeks now. So far so good.
I suggest you dont flash it but instead usi it via DSU. Autobrightness is not working, fingerprint too. There are gcam ports wich are also compatible with our device. Battery life is better than miui. Even adding a card to google wallet works fine, until a reboot.

You shouldve just used google to understand better. But basically its a subsystem method wich was implemented to allow a/b partition devices to be able to run gsis' for testing purposes, without the need of flashing and deleting the original os. Think of it as dualboot for android. The only thing is that if you're using it via dev settings, you dont have the choice of selecting what to boot, but your device will directly download google's official gsi (wich is not very functional and its ugly).
Thats why you just need to download the DSU Sideloader app from PlayStore. The app will do everything with a gsi of your choice if you follow the instructions.
The only thing wich is mandatory is that the BL of your device must be unlocked in order to use dsu.
There are videos on YT showing this. If you want to try the gsi I mentioned, download it from their website.

No problem, I dont mind explaining, but there are pretty detailed articles, wich may enlighten you better than I can do it. Anyways, if/when you try it you'll really understand how much MIUI is ruining the experience of that pretty device. I was thinking about selling it 3 days after i got it, only because of that deprecated UI with stupid restrictions. I'm really glad i searched and tried stuff. Good luck!
