I have a company laptop and can't get MS App Store to recognise my company laptop is a legitimate device I use with my personal MS Account. Any ideas how to get around the MS Store app stupidity?
What's the issue? Ms store not letting you install?

Are you signed in to corp account's email in your MS store app? If yes, try signing in with your personal account in your MS store app only.

Yes I did that and it wont install on the corporate laptop as it claims it is not one of my devices! Why alm this unnecessary restrictions.

This is probably better asked in the Q&A section, so I shall move it there...
Pocket Outlook can get emails, and there are some 3rd party bits of software, but it's largely dependant on what type of email account you're using.
Try Seven Beta. They will poll almost any POP3/IMAP account and push it to your phone. It also does Hotmail accounts.
MS mail working fine with an account on a "public" provider, even it is not the same I am using for the GSM.
MS mail doesn't work (no send, no receive) with an account on my personal domain, hosted by a third party provider.
Strange is on PC is OK, on an other mobile phone is OK and either on my PRO using QMQIL is working fine, I checked the config 1000 times that's nothing wrong, any know issue with MS mail?
Thanks
Regards,
Max

You say this is Microsoft HoTMaiL but is hosted elsewhere or did I misunderstand what you are telling me? I had a problem with a personal somain hosted by MICROSOFT but a couple of emails to support eventually fixed the problem.

Sorry for the confusion, with MS mail I mean the original mail client coming with the W6.1.
My personal domain is hosted by a provider which is not the same as for the GSM services.
Thanks

Hello folks, I've ordered a sim free HTC Tattoo to use my current 3UK sim in, I've already sourced 3's MSN and SKYPE apps to install, the last thing I need is Email on 3 - Can any one help? Can I supply download it from Planet 3?
Thanks
Kieran
Just Use the stock email app or better, download K-mail from the market

Just watch the port number for your smtp server!
3UK seem to block port 25 (the default) so it's worth checking with your email provider to see
whether they have an alternative port you could use.
I use free Hotmail so pop3 is a no go. Email on 3 pushes my mail instantly. Will the default mail program on the Tattoo do this? If not, are there any free apps that will?
Hotmail does pop3 no problem.
pop3.live.com
ssl on
smtp.live.com
TLS security on
port 25
job's a goodun.
My free hotmail account has been doing pop access since they launched it last year or whenever.

Oh that's great, I didn't realise they'd started allowing pop3. Are there any added benefits to using a Google email account on my HTC Tattoo rather than my Hotmail email account? Using the default mail app that will come on my HTC Tattoo.
you'll need a google account, otherwise you can't use the market.
also, using a google account means all your contacts and calendar can be backed up to the google servers, instead of having to use HTC Sync, which is just bloody awful
Try this;

It's what 'email on Three' is, but as it's only a beta at the moment Three haven't released it yet for Android.
I've signed up for a GMAIL account and have it fetch my HOTMAIL, LIVE and MSN emails and also have it setup to send as my MSN account. It's a little slow as it only polls for new emails every so many minutes but it'll do...
'SEVEN' is push email, and as far as I know the only such free email application for Android.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going stick with GMAIL (collectiong my other emails and using my MSN as the send as address) due to GMAIL being already part of the phone. I'll see how this works out before I look to other avenues. My phones on back order... =[

Kieran, where did you get that 3 msn from so I can download it? Is that the one that lets you have unlimited msn chats?

Thank the original OP's. I'm just glad I was able to find these myself as it was nearly stoping me going Android.
Does anyone have this working?
Do you mean the Exchange ActiveSync under the Mail app? If so, yes, I do.

I'm trying to set my microsoftonline account up in ActiveSync and am failing. What do I enter for domain? I assume I use my microsoftonline server address (red001.mail.microsoftonline.com) for the server address but that doesn't work. I am using my email address for the user name.
did you read their setup instructions? you are supposed to leave the domain blank....
Ive been having issues for a very long time with Gmail and unfortunately any new update does not fix this. I use Gmail for multiple accounts and when i delete or try to move things into folders they keep appearing and i have to do it several times or log into a computer to get it to work.
I've tried several email apps, I need an app that will sync my outlook calendar to google calendar app and will work with exchange and other email platforms. I used to use aquamail, but it was bought by a cheetah mobile type of company. I hate Gmail, but it is the only app I have found that can do what I described above, have everything streamlined. Just the deleting and moving of emails is not reliable.
Any suggestions ?
Try Nine Mail
Second that for Nine Mail... I used it for my outlook client until my company started using VMware Boxer. Miss Nine mail a lot.

I use Newton (Old name Cloud Magic) its pretty pricy but i love how it is compatible with literally all OS's, Android, iOS, Windows 10 and OSX.
I have used "TypeApp" for years....love it. Would use default gmail if...but i hate white theme. Gotta use app that has dark theme.
Tried nine, works good for microsoft, but does not run other email clients.
Will try others....ugh......stuck with Gmail. I don't know of an easy to get ahold of google to submit feedback for them to fix.
I've tried a few others which everything works well, but does not sync my microsoft outlook calendar to google calendar. I need the calendar though.
Why is Aquamail a problem for you?

Aquamail does not work for my exchange anymore. They changed something since I last used it, I'm not sure how they verify microsoft outlook, but i cannot register my outlook emails anymore. It used to work perfectly in Dec 2016 with my calendar but not anymore.
Just reluctantly using gmail right now.

My company email is based on gmail (business gmail) It works great with Nine. Nine cannot sync with general email because Google made some policy change back in 2013.

Doesn't Exchange support require a Pro key?

Specifically, they removed ActiveSync support from general accounts. It's still available for G Suite accounts though.

Not sure but I have the pro key. Maybe this weekend I'll try it one more time. Everything works except outlook. It has a lot of features as well.
It got bought by mobisystems awhile back. Make me wonder what changes they made. Are they shady like Cheetah mobile?
Try k9 mail. Open source and free.
